"You’re back." Ye Chaochao mumbled.
Ji Yanlin leaned over and kissed the corner of Ye Chaochao’s lips again. "You’ve slept so long, it’s ti to get up."
Ye Chaochao let out a long sigh and reached out to wrap her arms around Ji Yanlin’s neck.
Ji Yanlin directly reached out to hold Ye Chaochao, lifted her from the bed, walked towards the living room sofa, and eventually placed her on it.
"Should we go out to eat or order takeout? Or should we ask the housekeeper to make lunch?" Ji Yanlin couldn’t cook, so he could only offer these three choices.
"Don’t want to eat," Ye Chaochao said listlessly, and then she slumped into Ji Yanlin’s embrace.
Ji Yanlin let Ye Chaochao lean back, using his leg as a pillow, he looked down at her and asked, "Not eating? Are you waiting for uncle and auntie, your brother, and my parents to co after ?"
Upon hearing Ji Yanlin’s words, Ye Chaochao couldn’t help but laugh again and finally chose to have the housekeeper co over to cook.
Ji Yanlin took out his phone to call the housekeeper to co over and cook.
By the ti he turned his head back, Ye Chaochao had already returned to the bedroom. Ji Yanlin didn’t mind, but in the next mont, a sharp scream from Ye Chaochao suddenly ca from the bedroom.
Ji Yanlin’s pupils dilated, and even before his brain could react, he had already rushed towards the bedroom, "What happened?"
When Ji Yanlin burst in, he saw Ye Chaochao standing just fine beside the bed. He sighed in relief and asked again, "What happened?"
Ye Chaochao held up her phone to show Ji Yanlin, with a dood expression on her face, "Brother sent so many ssages! I didn’t see any of them!"
Ji Yanlin glanced at it, then said nonchalantly, "It’s fine, he knows you’re here with ."
"What did you tell my brother?" Ye Chaochao panicked, suddenly coming up to Ji Yanlin’s face.
Ji Yanlin looked at Ye Chaochao with a slightly disdainful look, "Aren’t you fierce? If you show half the spirit you have with , your brother wouldn’t dare ask you anything."
"Can you be the sa as my brother?" Ye Chaochao countered.
Ji Yanlin laughed mockingly, looking down at Ye Chaochao from above, "Explain, explain—what do you an by that?"
Ye Chaochao, feeling inexplicably guilty under Ji Yanlin’s gaze, but sticking to her guns not to lose face, retorted stiffly, "Just the literal aning."
But seeing Ji Yanlin’s increasingly dangerous gaze, Ye Chaochao hurriedly changed the subject, "What exactly did you tell my brother?"
Ji Yanlin said, "I just told him to stop bothering us while we’re dating, always ddling with other people’s romances while being single himself, clearly just jealous!"
Ye Chaochao looked at Ji Yanlin, montarily at a loss for what to say.
"Don’t change the subject!" Ji Yanlin looked at Ye Chaochao again, his tone filled with an imposing force as he demanded, "Tell , who is more important, your brother or I?"
"You, you, you!" Ye Chaochao blurted out three "yous" in a breath, then continued, "If you and my brother both fell into the river, I would definitely save you first!"
Hearing Ye Chaochao’s words, Ji Yanlin smiled with satisfaction and gently patted her head, "Good girl."
When Ji Yanlin wasn’t paying attention, Ye Chaochao ran away from him and shouted loudly, "After all, my brother is not as useless as you, needing a girl’s help if he falls into the river!"
