Ye Chaochao felt even more embarrassed now; she couldn’t just say that Ji Yanlin was angry with her, and she had specifically co to surprise him, but she hadn’t had the chance to let him know to co down, had she?
Seeing Ye Chaochao’s awkward expression, Ji Yunting already had an idea. He turned to his assistant and asked, "Is Ji Yanlin in the company right now?"
Normally, Ji Yunting’s assistant shouldn’t know, but today the assistant did indeed know, having just t him not long before. The assistant nodded, "Minister Ji was in his office twenty minutes ago."
Ji Yunting nodded, "You go straight up, his office is on the twenty-seventh floor."
After speaking, Ji Yunting turned back to his assistant and said, "Give the elevator card to Chaochao."
"Miss Ye." The assistant quickly handed over the elevator card.
"Uncle Ji, this..." Ye Chaochao felt sowhat uncomfortable, so she hesitated as she looked at Ji Yunting.
But Ji Yunting changed the subject and said, "Co over for dinner when you have ti, your Aunt Song misses you."
"Okay." Ye Chaochao didn’t feel awkward anymore and agreed imdiately.
"Then you go up, we’re leaving first," Ji Yunting continued.
"Okay, Uncle Ji, take care, I’m going up now." Ye Chaochao smiled sweetly and then waved her hand before heading into the building.
Everything that had happened at the entrance of the company lobby was witnessed by the receptionist, so when Ye Chaochao went in, she was let through imdiately after registering.
Because it was a dedicated elevator, Ye Chaochao was the only person inside. Thinking that she was about to see Ji Yanlin, she humd a cheerful tune, feeling rather pleased.
When she reached the twenty-seventh floor, Ye Chaochao looked around the relatively empty office area. It was break ti, so there were only a few people around.
Those few people were also surprised when they saw Ye Chaochao, as she was a stranger to them.
"Hello, may I ask who you are here to see?" a lady stood up and inquired.
Ye Chaochao nodded and then said, "Could you please tell which side Minister Ji’s office is on?"
"You’re here to see Minister Ji?" The lady sized up Ye Chaochao.
She was sowhat suspicious, but she knew that if the receptionist had let her up, there probably wasn’t a problem.
"Then follow , please." The lady ca over, ready to lead Ye Chaochao.
"Thank you." Ye Chaochao quickly expressed her gratitude and followed along.
As Ye Chaochao walked, she took in her surroundings; this was, after all, her first ti coming here. But after a few glances, Ye Chaochao reined in her curiosity, pondering how surprised Ji Yanlin would be to see her.
Upon reaching the office door, the lady stepped forward to knock, "Minister, there’s a lady outside looking for you."
However, seconds went by and there was no sound from inside the office.
The lady glanced at Ye Chaochao before knocking again, and just as she was about to continue knocking, the door opened.
Ji Yanlin’s white shirt was wet in a large area, and he frowned with an extrely displeased look, while at that mont, there was another woman standing in front of his desk.
Ye Chaochao’s eyes gradually widened as she looked at the woman inside and then at Ji Yanlin.
The atmosphere beca eerily tense in an instant!
"Chaochao?" Ji Yanlin, seeing the person who suddenly appeared before him, called out uncertainly.
But Ye Chaochao had co to her senses and turned to leave!
