"Sure, but you’ll need to dye it back before school starts," Ye Wanwan agreed without a second thought.
Ye Chaochao excitedly pounced on Ye Wanwan on the sofa, "Mommy is really the best! You are the greatest mom in the world!"
When Ye Wanwan heard this, there was a mont of bewildernt, as it had been a very long ti since she last recalled those terrible mories from her past life.
"Mom, I’ve picked out two colors, help see which one suits better!" Ye Chaochao pulled away from Ye Wanwan’s embrace and quickly started scrolling through photos on her cell phone.
In just a few seconds, Ye Chaochao had found the pictures and then handed her cell phone to Ye Wanwan so she could choose the color that suited her best from the two options.
Ye Wanwan quickly snapped back to reality, her face once again beaming with happiness, as she took Ye Chaochao’s cell phone and seriously helped to pick out a hair color.
While they were still deciding on the hair color, there was movent from the direction of the stairs—Shen Yi and Assistant Chen were coming down from the upstairs.
Assistant Chen was already a middle-aged man by now, but he had aged well, with just a few wrinkles at the corners of his eyes as the only traces left by the years, aside from a more mature and steady deanor.
"Madam," Assistant Chen greeted her respectfully.
Ye Wanwan checked the ti and then addressed Assistant Chen, "It’s already past eleven, you should stay and have lunch with us."
"Yes, Uncle Chen, you should stay and have the al with us today," Ye Chaochao also chid in.
Assistant Chen smiled and shook his head, "No thank you, I have an appointnt with a client to have tea this afternoon. I don’t want to disturb the family al for the four of you."
Ye Wanwan felt sowhat helpless. After all these years, they had already co to regard Assistant Chen as a very important friend, yet he still paid a lot of attention to his own status.
"Then I’ll take my leave," Assistant Chen said, giving a slight bow as a form of goodbye.
"Okay," Ye Wanwan didn’t say anything further.
After Assistant Chen left, Shen Yi escorted him to the door and watched him go before coming back inside the villa.
Ye Chaochao shared her plan to dye her hair during the sumr holidays with her father and then took out her phone to seek his opinion.
Shen Yi showed no signs of opposition, instead, he examined the choices carefully before saying, "Both look good."
Ye Wanwan laughed. She had just told Chaochao that if she asked Dad, he would definitely say both are good, and Shen Yi had indeed said just that.
"Dad, you’re really no fun!" complained Ye Chaochao before getting up and going back to sit next to Ye Wanwan.
The three of them sat in the living room while the television played Ye Chaochao’s favorite variety show, but at the mont, she was too busy choosing her hair color to watch.
Shen Yi wasn’t interested in the TV and couldn’t join in on the conversation of the mother and daughter, but he still sat there, his face wearing a contented smile.
It wasn’t until lunchti that Shen Wenzhou ca down from upstairs.
Ye Wanwan, seeing Zhouzhou’s appearance, couldn’t help but frown, "Zhouzhou, why do you look so tired? Have you been under too much stress from studying lately?"
After all, Zhouzhou was a high school student, and he had college entrance exams in just a month.
"Brother, you really look exhausted," Ye Chaochao also noticed and looked on with concern.
Only Shen Yi took a glance at Zhouzhou and then diverted his eyes, sitting down at the dining table to get ready for the al.
