Shen Wenzhou couldn’t understand why things had turned out this way.
"Shen Wenzhou, did your aunt scold you yesterday?" Zhou Ruoyu asked timidly.

Hearing Zhou Ruoyu’s words, Shen Wenzhou couldn’t help frowning. Although it seed like she hadn’t said anything too outrageous, he just didn’t like hearing anyone say a single bad thing about his mother.

Zhou Ruoyu’s heart skipped a beat. She felt like Shen Wenzhou’s words were a hint to her!
A hint that he didn’t like her, because if he truly liked her, he wouldn’t deny it. Even if it ant being labeled as having a premature romance, he still wouldn’t refuse to acknowledge it.
"It’s good that your aunt didn’t misunderstand you," Zhou Ruoyu said, forcing a relaxed tone while clenching her teeth.

"Oh," her classmate responded with a hint of surprise. She had asked Zhou Ruoyu to go to the restroom with her earlier, didn’t she say she wouldn’t go?
Fortunately, her desk-mate did not press the issue, but later she noticed that Zhou Ruoyu seed distracted.
Zhou Ruoyu sat at her desk with a heavy expression. Her mind was in turmoil, unsure of what to do.
