Three years later.

Today is September 1st. It’s a working day, as well as the day the little kids start school.

Shen Yi woke up early, while Ye Wanwan was still sound asleep. Originally, Shen Yi didn’t plan to wake her up, but today was Ye Chaochao’s first day at Sky Kindergarten.

"Wanwan, ti to get up." After Shen Yi had finished washing up, he went over to the bed to wake Ye Wanwan. She had already slept in a bit; any later and they might be late.

Ye Wanwan opened her eyes groggily and stared blankly at Shen Yi, seemingly unable to wake up completely. Shen Yi had no choice but to physically pull Ye Wanwan out of the bed.

"If you don’t get up and get ready now, it’ll be too late," Shen Yi said, while helping Ye Wanwan fix her hair.

Ye Wanwan seed to have co to her senses, took her phone from the nightstand to have a look, then tossed it aside, got out of bed, and headed to the bathroom.

Hearing noise coming from the bathroom, Shen Yi then went to the walk-in closet to change his clothes.

Although Ye Wanwan seed to be in a hurry, thankfully, everything was proceeding in an orderly fashion.

In the dining room.

Ye Chaochao’s little face was puffed out as she chewed vigorously, holding a bun in her hand, ready to be stuffed into her mouth at any mont.

Zhouzhou pushed the milk toward her, "Sister, eat slower."

Zhouzhou, now over seven years old, looked like a little adult, dressed in a school blazer, a complete little prince.

Ye Chaochao pushed the milk away and mumbled indistinctly, "Don’t want it."

"If you don’t drink milk, sis, you won’t grow tall," Zhouzhou said, frowning, clearly feeling helpless about his sister’s unwillingness to drink milk.

Ye Chaochao furrowed her brow too, her face full of reluctance. As soon as her mouth was empty, she took another big bite of the bun.

"Chaochao, drink your milk, and Daddy will bring you a little cake tonight," Shen Yi said, looking up and noticing that Ye Chaochao still hadn’t had her milk, and started to tempt her.

"I want both matcha and mango," Ye Chaochao’s eyes sparkled as she spoke with feigned nonchalance.

"No way," Shen Yi rejected firmly without hesitation.

"Hmph!" Ye Chaochao huffed and pouted, looking extrely miffed.

There was a mont of silence in the dining room, with only the sound of the utensils.

However, the next mont, little Ye Chaochao’s milky voice said, "Then, can I have the mango one, Daddy?"

Shen Yi’s lips curled into a slight, almost imperceptible, smile, "Of course, you can."

Negotiation concluded, Chaochao finished the last bite of her bun, held the cup with both hands, and drank the milk in large gulps.

Ye Wanwan sat on the side without saying a word, just quietly smiling.

Shen Yi seed to have noticed and looked back at Ye Wanwan, then tilted his chin slightly towards her since she hadn’t drunk her milk either.

However, Ye Wanwan wasn’t as easy to deal with as Chaochao and simply looked away, ignoring Shen Yi.

Over the years, Shen Yi had beco even more mature, handling clients in the business world and dealing with two children at ho with ease.

The only ti he seed to be at a loss was when facing Ye Wanwan.

After breakfast, the family of four set out together. Chaochao’s kindergarten was the sa one that Zhouzhou used to attend, about a ten-minute journey from ho. It was just at the gates of the kindergarten.

Since today was the first day of school, the family was very ceremonial about it and planned to take Chaochao to kindergarten together.
