Ye Wanwan was absent-minded throughout the day. She hadn’t forgotten the dream from last night, nor Zhouzhou’s look of despair.
As she lay dying in her past life, she thought that without her constant troublemaking, Shen Yi and Zhouzhou’s lives would quickly return to normal.
She never expected that after so many years of hurting Zhouzhou, even in death, she would leave him feeling such guilt.

Shen Yi still had social commitnts today and had sent Ye Wanwan a ssage in advance.
After work, Ye Wanwan still went to the pet hospital. The little kitten was a tiny ball in her hand, not even as big as her palm, but it seed much more spirited today.
Watching Taozhi wing adorably and nuzzling her hand with its little head, Ye Wanwan couldn’t help but think of Zhouzhou.
Zhouzhou also used to adore her when he was little.
But her? When she was in a good mood, she might give him so attention, but when she wasn’t, she would completely ignore him.
Ye Wanwan felt a deep discomfort in her heart and didn’t stay long, hurrying away.
When she got ho, dinner was ready. Ye Wanwan sat at the dining table and ate distractedly.
She stared at the edge of the table, then rembered how Zhouzhou had once bumped his head there as a child.
The table’s edge had been cushioned, but when he, a little ball himself, had hit it, he stumbled backward and fell right onto the floor. Although he hadn’t cried at first, when he realized everyone was looking at him, he suddenly burst into loud tears.
Ye Wanwan stopped eating abruptly and just stared blankly at the table beside her.
Seeing this, a servant ca over to ask, "Madam, is it not to your taste?"
Ye Wanwan snapped back to reality and gently shook her head, "No, I just don’t have much of an appetite."
"Well..."
Before the servant could finish speaking, Ye Wanwan had already put down her chopsticks and stood up, heading upstairs.
When Zhouzhou first learned to walk, he could climb the stairs by holding onto the handrail, but going down he could only lie flat on a step, stretch out a little leg tentatively, and then step back carefully.
At over two years old, he would grab a paintbrush and scribble everywhere; Shen Yi’s docunts, her clothes and bags, the tables and sofas at ho, and even the walls and floors—all were spared no rcy.
There’s a guest room opposite the second-floor study now, but that room had been turned into a nursery when she was pregnant with Zhouzhou.
Standing at the doorway, Ye Wanwan didn’t even turn the light on to look inside. She knew that once she did, she would find no trace of Zhouzhou left.
She just stood there, and images of her holding Taozhi while playing with toys and sleeping together ca flooding into her mind.
As Zhouzhou grew, his bedroom was moved to the third floor, where he had his own study, music room, and even a separate ga room.
And so much more; they had lived here together for fifteen years.
Ye Wanwan couldn’t help but tear up. Previously she hadn’t felt much, perhaps because she was subconsciously avoiding it.
But today, just being in this villa made Ye Wanwan rember countless things about Zhouzhou.
Her Zhouzhou was so good and so sweet; how could she ever not want him!
