Ye Wanwan suddenly opened her eyes, her heart pounding rapidly. Drenched in sweat, she stared at the ceiling for several seconds before taking deep breaths.

The housekeeper promptly replied, "The madam seed to be feeling unwell earlier. I suggested she visit the hospital, but she refused. She has gone upstairs to rest by now."
Shen Yi nodded and briskly made his way upstairs.
Watching from behind, the housekeeper said nothing more and headed straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
As Shen Yi ascended the stairs, he could hear noises coming from the children’s room. The door was ajar, and through the gap, he saw Ye Wanwan and Zhouzhou sitting on the play mat.
When he pushed the door open, both Ye Wanwan and Zhouzhou looked towards the entrance.
Zhouzhou was startled for two seconds, then his face lit up with joy, "Daddy."
Shen Yi walked over, picked Zhouzhou up, and kissed his forehead, asking softly, "Did Zhouzhou miss daddy? Have you been a good boy and listened to mommy these past few days?"
Zhouzhou nodded seriously and said, "Missed daddy, and was well-behaved."
"Zhouzhou is truly great." Shen Yi did not skimp on his praise.
Then Shen Yi set Zhouzhou down and looked at Ye Wanwan, who was sitting cross-legged on the play mat, playing Lego with Zhouzhou, and gave her a tender smile.
Ye Wanwan smiled back at Shen Yi, though her smile seed sowhat forced.
Before Shen Yi could speak, Ye Wanwan asked in a sowhat hoarse voice, "Have you eaten?"
