"Okay." Ye Wanwan looked at Shen Yi and nodded before she started eating.
Shen Yi didn’t start eating at first and just watched Ye Wanwan, but since they had co to the hospital together, she hadn’t had the chance to eat anything, so naturally, neither had he.
After taking a couple of bites, Ye Wanwan noticed Shen Yi was still watching her and hurriedly urged him, "You should eat too."
"Mhm." Shen Yi replied.
By the ti they finished eating and cleaned up, it was already twelve o’clock, and Ye Wanwan usually went to sleep before eleven.
Today she had stayed up until this ti, and she was truly getting sleepy, unable to stop yawning.
"Sleep," Shen Yi said softly.
Ye Wanwan just looked at Shen Yi without saying anything, but Shen Yi understood what she ant. He smiled helplessly and then lay down beside her.
As soon as Shen Yi lay down, Ye Wanwan leaned over, found a comfortable position in his arms, and closed her eyes.
Shen Yi held her, gently patted her back, and softly said, "Sleep."
Ye Wanwan was truly tired and didn’t have the energy to ponder over anything else, quickly falling into a deep sleep.
On the other hand, Shen Yi didn’t feel sleepy at all. His hand subconsciously patted Ye Wanwan’s back, but his thoughts had drifted far away.
He was still considering the possibility that Ye Wanwan might have been reborn, but aside from acting a bit odd regarding the matter with Xun Lehan, there didn’t seem to be anything else amiss.
After thinking for a good while, Shen Yi thought of Zhouzhou.
He ca back to his senses, looked down at Ye Wanwan in his arms, and then his gaze moved downwards to her slightly bulging belly.
Before, he hadn’t heard her talk about giving their baby a nickna. When it was brought up, she seed a bit unnatural, and only ntioned "Zhouzhou" was the nickna she had chosen for the baby after he brought it up.
He still rembered the expression on Ye Wanwan’s face when she accidentally said the na "Zhouzhou," — it was clearly one of guilt.
At that ti, he thought she had just casually picked a nickna, which is why she felt a bit embarrassed.
But now, he thought that might not be the case.
Perhaps in their previous life, they had a baby, and the baby’s na was "Zhouzhou."
Then, Shen Yi thought about Ye Wanwan’s initial desperate desire to have a baby.
They had just gotten married, but she was very eager to have a child.
Was it because she simply loved children and wanted one of their own, or was it because there had been a child in their past life?
Having been given a second chance at life, did she hope that their baby would co into their lives as soon as possible?
What had felt unproblematic before now seed to be filled with loopholes.
Shen Yi looked at Ye Wanwan. Could she really be reborn?
...
The next day.
When Ye Wanwan woke up, Shen Yi was already up. It took her a while to co to her senses and realize she was in the hospital.
Shen Yi had prepared breakfast for Ye Wanwan and told her to co over to eat after she had washed up.
After breakfast, a doctor ca to check on Ye Wanwan’s health.
The doctor visiting today was a man, which puzzled Ye Wanwan a bit, but she didn’t say much. After the doctor finished the examination and explained the situation to them.
"Currently, both the baby and the mother are in very good condition. After returning ho, you should be cautious not to suddenly beco emotionally agitated as it could be dangerous for both the adult and the baby," the doctor advised.
Shen Yi nodded and promised, "Alright, we will avoid such situations in the future."
