Shen Yi finally lowered his head to look at the spot where his palm rested, disbelief brimming in his eyes.
He was reminded of what Ye Wanwan had told him last night, ntioning that he missed the baby’s movents.
So, was it the baby moving just now?
With that thought, Shen Yi felt an imnse joy and involuntarily lifted the corners of his lips. He wanted to share this delight with Ye Wanwan; however, seeing that she was still asleep when he looked up, he restrained himself.
Shen Yi carefully placed his hand on Ye Wanwan’s abdon again. The baby, as if knowing his father was caressing him at this very mont, moved inside her once more.
The baby didn’t know that his slightest movent could excite and thrill his father so much!
Ye Wanwan was startled for two seconds before she understood what Shen Yi was talking about. Seeing his excitent, Ye Wanwan deliberately made a surprised expression, "I told you, the baby started moving the day before yesterday."
While Shen Yi was still imrsed in joy, Ye Wanwan beca concerned about his health and reached out to feel his forehead for a fever, "Do you still have a fever?"
Pressing her palm against Shen Yi’s forehead, Ye Wanwan let out a sigh of relief, "It’s good that nothing’s wrong."
Since they were in a hospital, the two didn’t linger in their affection for too long, fearing that a nurse might co in any minute.
Just as they got up to get ready, a nurse ca in to check Shen Yi’s temperature. Confirming that his fever had gone down, she said, "You can start the discharge process in a bit."
"Okay," Shen Yi responded.
The nurse also reminded him, "Here is the dication for the next two days; rember to finish it."
...
Uncle Zhang handled the discharge procedures, and then he took Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi back ho.
Upon arriving ho, Ye Wanwan let out a sigh of relief. Even though they had only stayed in the hospital for one night, she still felt that ho had an exceptionally comforting feel.
Shen Yi had also gotten over his fever by now, which caused her mood to completely relax as well.
Taozhi ca running out from so corner at the sound, rubbing against Ye Wanwan’s feet.
Ye Wanwan simply picked up Taozhi. The pet was docile and stayed quietly in her arms.
"Let’s have breakfast first," said Shen Yi softly as he watched Ye Wanwan.
They had co straight ho from the hospital after being discharged without stopping for breakfast.
"Go play by yourself," Ye Wanwan said as she put Taozhi down, and then she washed her hands before sitting down in the dining room.
Probably because Shen Yi was out of danger, Ye Wanwan was in a good mood, a sweet smile constantly on her face, like a carefree child.
Shen Yi’s gaze would occasionally fall on Ye Wanwan, yet he couldn’t help but think about his absurd dreams, along with the real temple.
If it were just a dream, he could reassure himself that it was rely a nightmare and there was no need to overthink. But that temple made it clear to Shen Yi that there was definitely a problem.
The key question was whether the problem was man-made or if those dreams were indeed real.
Did they predict the future? Or were they a glimpse of his past?
Shen Yi’s motion of drinking porridge halted as he carefully recalled what the monk had said.
After thinking for a good while, Shen Yi vaguely rembered that the monk probably said, "Benefactor Shen has spent a lifeti of good deeds to have this opportunity today. Since that’s the case, you should look forward and not cling to the past."
Cling to the past?
So, were those dreams, for him, a thing of the past?
