On the video, Shen Yi stared at Ye Wanwan for a mont and then cautiously asked, "What’s wrong?"
"Huh?" Ye Wanwan was sowhat slow to respond.
Shen Yi continued, "You seem to have a lot on your mind, what’s wrong? Did sothing happen?"
Ye Wanwan hadn’t expected that after just one sentence with Shen Yi, he would have already noticed sothing was off with her.
So Ye Wanwan told Shen Yi about Ye Shiying liking her post on WeChat.
After hearing this, Shen Yi frowned. In theory, Ye Shiying should not have been able to access communication devices such as cellphones.
"Don’t worry, I’ll have soone check on Ye Shiying’s recent situation," Shen Yi reassured her.
"I’ve already told mom, and she’s looking into it too," Ye Wanwan said.
"Good," Shen Yi replied.
He was about to say sothing more when there was a knock on his office door, prompting him to instinctively look up. Ye Wanwan then quickly said, "You go ahead with your work."
Shen Yi glanced at the screen one more ti before nodding.
After the call ended, Assistant Chen had already entered Shen Yi’s office and approached the desk to hand over so docunts.
Shen Yi set the docunts aside and then instructed Assistant Chen, "Never mind work for now, help check on Ye Shiying’s situation instead."
Perplexed but without asking further questions, Assistant Chen nodded and agreed to do so.
Within an hour afterwards, Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi learned almost simultaneously about Ye Shiying’s escape from the hospital and her subsequent disappearance.
Ye Wanwan found the whole situation absurd. Ye Shiying was a convicted murderer; how could she have the presence of mind after escaping from the hospital to log into WeChat to like a post in her Monts?
What was she to think of Ye Shiying?
At the sa ti, a wave of panic began to rise within Ye Wanwan. Soone as crazy as Ye Shiying, who knew what she was planning after getting out? Previously, it was at her instigation that Ye Mingrui had attempted to abduct her—Ye Shiying had wanted her dead!
