When their gazes finally t, both Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan wore expressions of complete bewildernt. Shen Yi fell silent for a mont, then blankly asked, "Should we first tell mom and dad?"

Though he had seriously taken note of all the precautions the doctor ntioned at the hospital, aside from those, Shen Yi still knew next to nothing.

How was he supposed to protect that tiny little life?

He didn’t know.

After much thought, it seed sensible to seek advice from the two mothers at ho who had gone through this before; they might be of so help.

"Hmm," Ye Wanwan nodded, understanding that this important matter naturally had to be shared with them.

Moreover, Ye Wanwan knew what Shen Yi ant, not only to share the important news but also to glean so wisdom from the mothers.

She had been through this once, but it had been so long ago.

Also, due to a different mindset, she had initially been ecstatic about the pregnancy, not as anxious as she was now, and had several people taking care of her, determining what to eat, what to consider, and what to check; it was all arranged for her.

Aside from feeling terribly unwell during the morning sickness period and being particularly frightened as her due date approached, she had never had to worry about anything else.

Shen Yi took out his phone and called Lady Lin Xu.

At this very mont, Lin Xu was sitting idly in the living room. She was slightly startled when she noticed the call was from Shen Yi.

Her son wasn’t exactly unfilial, but the tis he called her were indeed rare.

Lin Xu answered the phone with a hint of hesitation, "Shen Yi? Is that you?"

On the other end, Shen Yi remained silent for a few seconds, then took a deep breath, "Mom, I have sothing to tell you."

Hearing Shen Yi’s solemn tone, Lin Xu’s heart skipped a beat, wondering if sothing bad had happened. Otherwise, why would her son, who usually showed little emotion, speak with such a serious tone?

"What is it? Go ahead," Lin Xu asked, feigning composure.

It was then that Shen Yi continued, "Wanwan is pregnant, I..."

"What did you say!"

Lin Xu suddenly raised her voice, cutting off Shen Yi mid-sentence and startling him on the other end of the phone.

Shen Yi held the phone far away at this mont but could still hear the excited voice of Lin Xu through the phone.

"What did you just say?"

"Wanwan is pregnant?"

After two seconds of silence, not hearing an answer from Shen Yi, Lin Xu called out again loudly, "Shen Yi, where are you!"

"I’m here," Shen Yi said, resisting the possibility that his eardrums might burst as he brought the phone back to his ear.

"You said Wanwan is pregnant? Are you sure? Have you been to the hospital for a check-up?" Lin Xu bombarded him with several questions at once.

Shen Yi himself was still a bit shaken but felt nothing amiss with Lin Xu’s excited questioning.

Shen Yi explained, "We went to the hospital this morning, it’s confird she is pregnant, I..."

"Are you at ho right now?" Lin Xu once again interrupted Shen Yi.

"Yes," Shen Yi replied.

"Stay there, I’m coming over right now!"

"Mom..."

Just as Shen Yi began to speak, the sound of the call ending ca through the phone. Shen Yi looked at his phone for a mont, then turned to look at Ye Wanwan.

Both of them lapsed into silence.

When Ye Wanwan notified Su Xiangyi shortly thereafter, the result was nearly the sa; they were told to wait at ho, and they would be there soon.
