"Hmm." Ye Wanwan replied with a single word, showing no discernible emotion.
Shen Yi then asked, "What do you want to eat?"
Ye Wanwan seed to have no thoughts at all, or perhaps she was just too tired to think; anyway, since Shen Yi had plans, she would just go along with them.
So Ye Wanwan replied perfunctorily, "Anything."
After that, Shen Yi did not reply again, and it was unclear whether he had gotten busy with work or because he knew that asking Ye Wanwan would get him nowhere.
Two hours later, Shen Yi finished his work and returned to the apartnt, only to see Ye Wanwan lazily playing with her phone in the living room.
Shen Yi sat down beside Ye Wanwan and then pulled her into his embrace for a kiss, "Are you really bored at ho?"
"Not too bad," admitted Ye Wanwan, who indeed felt sowhat bored, but it was hot outside, she didn’t want to go out, and she didn’t know where to go.
"Will you accompany to the company this afternoon?" Shen Yi asked softly.
He had tried to arrange as best as he could, but so work simply could not be delegated and required his personal attention.
Ye Wanwan hesitated for a mont, but considering she really had nothing else to do, she agreed, "Okay then."
Shen Yi stroked her head and told her to get ready to go out.

The next day was the sa. Shen Yi went to work before Ye Wanwan woke up and only ca back at noon to take her out for lunch.
In the afternoon, Ye Wanwan followed Shen Yi to the office. He was busy with work, either dealing with docunts or in etings, and Ye Wanwan played with her phone on the sofa.
Ye Wanwan was very bored, scrolling through her Monts again and again, and she saw incoming WeChat ssages the mont they arrived.
In the group chat, Song Ziyi tagged Ye Wanwan and asked, "Are you in D Country?"
"Yeah," replied Ye Wanwan.
"I heard from my brother that Shen Yi has been with a woman in his office for the past few days. I thought he was cheating!"
"I was even ready with my ’cri tools’, planning to confront him!"
Song Ziyi sent two laughing emojis in the group chat in quick succession.
Ye Wanwan found this both funny and frustrating as she was about to reply, but before she could, Song Ziyi sent another ssage, "I’m in D Country too, but I’m planning to go back tomorrow. Do you have ti to et up?"
"Now?" Ye Wanwan deleted what she had been typing and asked again.
"Sure! You’re not familiar with this place, but I know where Shen Yi’s company is. I’ll go to the coffee shop downstairs of his office building and ssage you when I get there," said Song Ziyi quickly.
Ye Wanwan agreed.
Now having sothing to do, Ye Wanwan perked up a bit, got up, and went to Shen Yi’s desk.
"What’s up?" Shen Yi looked up from his mountain of work to see Ye Wanwan.
Ye Wanwan said, "Ziyi said she’s coming to see . I’ll go to the coffee shop downstairs to wait for her."
Although Song Ziyi said she would send a ssage when she arrived, Ye Wanwan was quite bored at the mont and decided to just go down and wait for her.
Only then did Shen Yi rember, "Right, Song Ziyi is also around here lately, I forgot to tell you."
Although he didn’t have much work-related interaction with Song Ziyi, he did have so business dealings with her brother, Song Zihe.
"Well, I’m heading down now," Ye Wanwan indicated towards the outside.
Shen Yi nodded slightly, "Be careful and call if anything cos up."
"Okay," Ye Wanwan nodded.
Then, without looking back, she left the office and waited for soone at the coffee shop downstairs.
"Oh my god! Did Shen Yi wring you dry?" ca Song Ziyi’s astonished voice.
