The one who made the trip but couldn’t et anyone was Shen Yi, yet at this mont, he was comforting Ye Wanwan, "It’s okay. I’ve calculated that if nothing unexpected happens, I’ll be able to officially return to the country in a month."
Everything at the new company in D Country was going very smoothly, and he was already preparing to return.
"A month? That soon?" Ye Wanwan imdiately shifted her attention.
"Yeah." Shen Yi nodded slightly.
Just as Ye Wanwan was about to say sothing, she suddenly heard soone in the crowd shouting her na loudly.
"Wanwan! Wanwan!"
Though she couldn’t see Yu Qiqi due to the crowd, just by hearing the voice, Ye Wanwan knew it was her and hurriedly responded through the crowd.
It wasn’t long before Yu Qiqi found her way over. She didn’t notice that Ye Wanwan was on a video call and, out of breath, asked her, "Where are we going to have our late-night snack later?"
"Hold on a second." Ye Wanwan pointed at her phone, and then Yu Qiqi took a look and imdiately understood.
"Should I go buy a milk tea, from that shop?" Yu Qiqi pointed to a milk tea shop behind them.
Ye Wanwan nodded her head, and Yu Qiqi quickly scurried away. Ye Wanwan then turned her attention back to the phone where Shen Yi softly said, "Go have fun."
Ye Wanwan still felt so conflict, thinking she had really let Shen Yi down. She had forgotten her promise to accompany Shen Yi in D Country, standing him up once before.
Today, she made Shen Yi take a long-haul flight of more than ten hours, and he had to leave without even seeing her.
She really felt full of guilt!
Seeing Ye Wanwan’s downcast expression again, Shen Yi couldn’t help but smile wryly and reassured her, "It’s okay, just enjoy yourself."
Shen Yi paused for a few seconds. Seeing that Ye Wanwan seed at a loss for words, he continued, "Wanwan, happy birthday."
"Go on, have fun."
"Mhm." Ye Wanwan responded softly, her spirits not quite lifted.
After the video call ended, Ye Wanwan was still sowhat upset. Yu Qiqi suddenly ca from behind, hugging Ye Wanwan’s shoulders and startling her into a reflexive stiffening.
"Are you done?" Yu Qiqi asked.
Ye Wanwan finally relaxed, "Yeah."
"Hey, why do you still look unhappy? Missing him that much?" Yu Qiqi, unaware that Shen Yi had returned, simply thought that Ye Wanwan was too taken with their house’s guy.
Ye Wanwan glared at Yu Qiqi, tacitly agreeing.
Without much explanation, it was she who had promised to go out and have fun with Yu Qiqi, and bringing it up now would just be a downer, wouldn’t it?
"Weren’t you going to buy milk tea?" Ye Wanwan changed the subject.
Yu Qiqi laughed foolishly, "With the event just ending, look at how many people are in line over there! If I waited to buy it, we probably wouldn’t need to sleep tonight."
She had tactfully given the long-distance couple so space to talk!
"Let’s go, off for our late-night snack!" Yu Qiqi hooked her arm around Ye Wanwan’s shoulder and led her to the late-night food location.
After they finished their late-night snack and returned to the hotel, Ye Wanwan went to take a shower first, while Yu Qiqi had already started editing photos.
When Ye Wanwan ca out of the shower, Yu Qiqi had already finished posting on her Monts and had sent all the photos and videos to Ye Wanwan as well.
"I’ve sent them all to you, you pick!" After saying that, Yu Qiqi sang happily and headed into the bathroom.
