Taozhi had disappeared. She ca out of the villa to look for Taozhi and when she reached the back of the villa, she faintly heard the sound of a cat owing.
At first, she wasn’t sure and called out several tis, and it seed like she really heard the sound of a cat owing. That’s when she followed the sound around the back of the villa and ended up in another villa’s backyard.
Then, she saw a car, her family’s car!
Ye Wanwan was puzzled. Why was her family’s car here?
Had it co to pick her up?
But she had just been on the phone with Su Xiangyi, who told her to hurry back. Su Xiangyi hadn’t ntioned coming to pick her up.
While she was still in confusion, sothing suddenly struck her hard on the back of her head, and then she lost consciousness.
She had been abducted, most likely by Ye Shiying!
When this thought surfaced, Ye Wanwan’s heart began thumping wildly, and she couldn’t help feeling a bit panicked.
Currently, she sat on the cold floor, her hands tied behind her, and her feet were also bound.
Ye Wanwan tried to break free from the ropes on her wrists, but her hands were tied tightly. She hadn’t felt anything before when she fainted, but now her wrists throbbed with pain.
Ye Wanwan had no choice but to stop struggling, but her eyes were also covered, and she couldn’t see anything. Curving her knees, she bowed her head and rubbed it against her knees to slide off the blindfold.
But this didn’t help much. It was too dark here, not a glimr of light penetrated, and she could see nothing at all.
Ye Wanwan squinted her eyes and cautiously scrutinized her surroundings for quite so ti. The place seed large but had not a single window. The air was filled with the sll of dust, a clear sign that it had not been used in a long ti; it appeared to be an abandoned warehouse.
After a while, Ye Wanwan tried to stand up but couldn’t at first. Later, using the wall behind her for support, she managed to push herself up with effort.
However, the wall seed to be made of rough cent with a distinct grainy texture. It was early spring, and Ye Wanwan was only wearing a shirt, her sleeves rolled up at that, and now as she rubbed against the cent wall, she felt a burning pain instantly.
Enduring the pain, Ye Wanwan cautiously inched forward a little bit, though her movents were minimal due to her tightly bound legs.
She tried hopping forward twice and managed to move a bit further.
But it was too dark here, with not even a sliver of moonlight, and Ye Wanwan had no way to discern the direction. With her limbs tied, there was no way she could leave this place.
Just as Ye Wanwan started to get agitated, she suddenly heard a sound from outside, like that of a vehicle rolling over a gravel road.
Soone was coming!
Ye Wanwan imdiately beca alert and hurriedly retreated, leaning against the wall and sitting down again.
She sat quietly, waiting, and sure enough, in less than two minutes, she heard the iron gate creaking, moonlight stread in, and the dark space grew sowhat brighter.
A person was standing in the doorway, looking inside.
Even with the faint light, Ye Wanwan couldn’t see clearly who was standing there, but she vaguely felt it was a man.
Ye Wanwan was puzzled. Wasn’t she abducted by Ye Shiying?
Right, Ye Shiying was a woman, and so frail. It might have been difficult for her to abduct her alone, so this might be Ye Shiying’s accomplice.
