Right up to the ti for boarding, Shen Yi had to leave, but his gaze remained unwaveringly on Ye Wanwan, unwilling to shift it away.

Assistant Chen didn’t want to be the bad guy either, but as the ti had co and the announcents for boarding were being made, he had no choice but to co over and interrupt them.

"Manager Shen, it’s ti," Assistant Chen reminded softly.

Shen Yi knitted his brows slightly and glanced at Assistant Chen sideways, as if it were due to him that he had to go abroad, his eyes filled with resentnt.

Assistant Chen quickly stepped aside, not daring to say anything more.

On the other hand, Ye Wanwan, holding Shen Yi’s hand, said softly, "It’s ti, you should hurry."

Shen Yi still frowned as he observed the expression on Ye Wanwan’s face, seemingly devoid of any reluctance, and felt an unpleasant taste at the bottom of his heart.

Why didn’t she seem reluctant to part with him?

Shen Yi couldn’t understand.

After a long silence, Shen Yi finally said, "I’ll try to co back for Chinese New Year’s Eve."

There were still twenty days until the New Year, but there was no helping it. D Country had already celebrated its new year, and everything had to progress step by step, requiring soone over there to make decisions.

"Okay, I’ll wait for you at ho," Ye Wanwan nodded and agreed.

No matter how reluctant Shen Yi was, in the end, he still went towards the boarding gate, and Ye Wanwan stood there watching.

When Shen Yi looked back at Ye Wanwan for the last ti going through the security check, he saw she was still standing in the sa place, and without any hesitation, he walked back to her.

Assistant Chen’s eyes widened as he saw his manager turn around and walk back, but he dared not stop him.

Shen Yi quickly returned to Ye Wanwan’s side and, under her slightly puzzled look, bent down and kissed her.

Luckily, the kiss was as brief as a dragonfly skimming the water, and they parted quickly.

Ye Wanwan was sowhat bemused, "Why are you acting as if it’s a life-or-death farewell?"

"Nonsense!" Shen Yi pinched Ye Wanwan’s nose, then continued, "Go back, I’m leaving."

"Alright," Ye Wanwan nodded again.

This ti, Shen Yi really didn’t look back, quickly entering the gate; he was afraid that if he did, he truly wouldn’t leave.

And Ye Wanwan just stood there, watching Shen Yi’s figure completely vanish from her sight before she finally reined in her smile.

She let out a long sigh, seeming sowhat tired, and sat down on a chair in the nearby rest area.

She couldn’t quite describe her feelings at this mont.

All she could hope for was that everything would go well, that Shen Yi’s work would be smooth, that things between her and Shen Yi would be smooth, and also...

Ye Wanwan perked up a bit, looked down at her small abdon, and revealed a slight smile, wondering whether Zhouzhou would co or not.

...

Ye Wanwan had the day off. After sending off Shen Yi, she went straight ho.

Having no pressing matters to attend to, she sat in the living room playing gas on her mobile phone.

Not long into her gaming session, a servant ca to remind her that lunch was ready.

"Okay, I’ll be right there." Ye Wanwan put away her phone, slipped on her cotton slippers, and bounced off to the dining room to eat.

In the afternoon, Ye Wanwan received a group ssage. Lu Ning had brought back so local specialties from her business trip and suggested the girlfriends gather for dinner that evening and take ho the specialties.

With Zhang Xinyue absent, only Song Ziyi and Ye Wanwan were available.

Thus, the three agreed to et at a hot pot restaurant. While eating, Song Ziyi teased Ye Wanwan, "Did soone cry their eyes out today?"
