Ye Wanwan frowned slightly and withdrew her hand to touch Shen Yi’s forehead, then realized his temperature was frighteningly high, and instantly, she was fully alert.

"Shen Yi, Shen Yi..." Ye Wanwan propped herself up weakly, calling him in a low voice.

After calling out several tis, Shen Yi finally stirred a little and mumbled a response.

"Shen Yi, you have a fever," Ye Wanwan said, struggling to rise from the bed to switch on the light.

The sudden brightness in the bedroom made both Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi uncomfortable, and they involuntarily closed their eyes.

But Ye Wanwan still forced her discomfort away, leaning over the bedside to check on Shen Yi, "Shen Yi, what’s wrong with you?"

Hearing her voice, Shen Yi opened his eyes groggily, then looked at her with confusion.

Ye Wanwan frowned, intending to find the butler, but as she turned to leave, Shen Yi grasped her wrist.

Shen Yi held on tightly, causing Ye Wanwan’s wrist to ache, but she didn’t shake off his hand. Instead, she turned back to him, "What’s wrong?"

"Wanwan, don’t leave," Shen Yi said hoarsely, tightening his grip on her wrist.

Ye Wanwan replied, "You have a fever. I need to find the butler and see whether it’s better to go to the hospital or to have a doctor co here."

Seeing that Shen Yi still wouldn’t let go, Ye Wanwan added, "I’ll be back very soon."

But Shen Yi was unmoved, and lacking any other option, Ye Wanwan tried to tug at his hand.

However, her movent seed to stir Shen Yi, who then had red-rimd eyes and said with a choked-up voice, "Please, don’t go!"

"What’s wrong with you?" Ye Wanwan was puzzled and confused, not understanding what was happening with Shen Yi.

Had the fever made him delirious?

Shen Yi gazed at Ye Wanwan with those red-rimd eyes, tears slipping from them, his voice choked with sobs, "I’m sorry I couldn’t see you for the last ti."

"What, what did you say?" At that mont, Ye Wanwan froze, disbelieving as she looked at Shen Yi.

What was happening, what did Shen Yi...

However, Shen Yi didn’t give Ye Wanwan ti to think. Holding her hand, he continued, "I know, it was my fault."

"But why wouldn’t you let see you one last ti?"

"You knew you were dying, you called to say goodbye, but you didn’t tell , you wouldn’t let see you for the last ti."

"All I saw was your cold body," Shen Yi said, his eyes brimming with pain as he looked at Ye Wanwan.

Ye Wanwan just stood there, unable to move. What exactly was going on? Why did Shen Yi know all this?

And Shen Yi kept talking, "I wanted to see you so badly, I had so much to tell you."

"But you wouldn’t even let see you in my dreams."

"You told you regretted it, you regretted being with ."

"How could you regret it?"

"I must have disappointed you so much that you regretted it, that’s why you wouldn’t let see you one last ti, that’s why it took so long for to dream of you for the first ti."

"But I really miss you, I miss you so much..."

Shen Yi’s words ca out jumbled, but finally, after much difficulty, he was able to dream of her, with so many things he wanted to tell her.

As Ye Wanwan listened to Shen Yi’s words, tears had already slid down from her eyes, but she still had enough sense to quickly wipe away the tear stains on her face.
