The directors eyed their boss alarmingly who had a vicious look in his face right from the start as he grabbed his phone from the pocket of his black suit jacket. They waited and waited and saw how serious he was as he read his text and finally, a crack on his face finally appeared. Curious, they swallowed a nonexistent lump in their throat as they waited in anticipation.
Soon, a small and soft chuckle made its way into their ears. It was almost inaudible if not for the fact that their ears and eyes were solely focused on their boss.
Their boss...chuckled? What is this? Are they hallucinating? No, they clearly heard it, plus they saw him crack a smile. They thought that it was just a small chuckle, but then they heard it again.
The directors felt petrified that they instantly turned white. Their bodies were even covered with goosebumps and was making them terribly shudder at that soft chuckle. It was a chuckle so soft yet...so eerir and creepy that they wanted to cry. It was like they were hearing a devil’s laugh.
What the hell is this? How can he smile and laugh like that yet it seed like it didn’t co from this world..? Is that even be possible?
The directors were scared silly.
When Assistant Yu heard his boss’ laugh, he too had a share of goosebumps but seeing that his boss’ scary scowl had been replaced with a creepy smile, he thought that he would prefer the creepy smile...or so he thought.
Assistant Yu looked at the directors then but saw that they were shivering in fear. Well, he can understand them quite well because the only tis that their boss had smiled or laughed was when he was seriously mad or soone had offended him and would then hatch a plan of wanting to ruin that person who offended him enough so that that person can’t recover from the business and will never be able to get back up. That’s how ruthless their CEO was.
However, this laugh from their boss right now was not because of him being mad at anyone but rather, it wasbecause of a text his dearest wife sent. Thinking of this, Assistant Yu sighed then smiled bitterly. Just that, these directors don’t know yet that their boss was in fact already married but he does not plan on telling them since it appears that Ms Park...no, Young Madam Song does not want to disclose their marriage yet.
Yes. Why does she wanted to keep it a secret though? Assistant Yu wondered.
"Hmph!" Lexus harrumphed but the smile on his face was still evident. He then put his phone back into the pocket of his suit jacket and casually said, "I’ll give a day to revise your report. If I’m satisfied, I’ll give you all a 5-day paid vacations."
Lexus stood up and walked out of the eting room, feeling happy and excited. His wife just texted him that they will talk later and that she will cook dinner for them. To eat the food cooked by his own wife was really making him happy. Good food and a beautiful wife...Lexus chuckled again and this ti, his laugh were heard by the people who was there as he passed by the hallway and back into his office.
What was that laugh all about?
The employees by the hallway almost collapsed from fear at how horrified they were at the sight of their handso boss. What’s more, his laughing ah! It was so scary that they almost peed their pants.
Assistant Yu looked one last ti at the "stone figures" sitting in the eting room and shook his head. Well, he has to give it to the young madam who imdiately helped him this ti. With that, Assistant Yu had been thoroughly convinced that he has to be in the good graces of Young Madam Song and never ever offend her.
The hallway was littered with scared employees who was still not able to fully recover from their shock at the unusual behaviour of their boss. Assistant Yu quietly looked at the ss his boss left and just shook his head before following his boss back into the office.
October raised an eyebrow at the sudden text from Assistant Yu. He told her that it was an "ergency" concerning his boss, which was her...ehem...husband.
October’s face imdiately got tinted with a pink glow. She touched her face and tried so hard to calm herself.
And as for what that ergency was, October was a little skeptical and when she got told that the directors in their company are in a tight bind in the face of the angry Lexus. He said that he needs her help to appease his anger. He also added that maybe if she could cook for their boss, then his anger would subside, or so that’s what he said.
Will that really be enough? October frowned at this unusual call for help, however, she still did as what Assistant Yu had suggested and texted Lexus about it but kept the fact that it was Assistant Yu’s suggestion, just to be on the safer side.
October also thought that having dinner together at ho would be a good idea. Since they recently married and literally doesn’t know much about each other, then they could use this ti to try and open up to one another. But will that be enough? Also, she doesn’t have much good mories to share for their were only unpleasant mories. Then the rest of that were just plain boring.
"Okay." That was the only reply from Lexus. Nonetheless, October really doesn’t care. She scrolled her inbox and her eyes stopped on the ssage sent from an unknown number. Raising an eyebrow, she opened with a lack of interest. Even if it was from an unknown number, she still needed to open it just for the sake of opening it. Or so she thought.
October’s eyes widened in surprise as soon as she read its content.
"Hi my lovely beautiful princess. How are you, dear? Your dashing Ma Rong is coming ho~! Yay! Excited? Hm? Hm? You are, aren’t you? Don’t worry, your Rong’er will be there to drag you out of your boredom. Pick up at the airport, darling. I’ll arrive there at City D this Saturday at 10. Thank you love."
October looked at the heart symbol at the end of the ssage but the look she had was blank and her lips twitched.
