October felt like crying. No, on the other note, she was already starting to tear up. She was so grateful to have t Lexus and had given her things without asking any unreasonable return. Not only was her body engulfed securely in his sweet embrace, but also her heart and soul that got penetrated so deeply and moved so trendously by his comforting and sweet words.
She does not care if others may think that Lexus and her had a very strange and peculiar relationship and they may even think they were out of their sane minds to get married so instantly, skipping a lot of stages in a normal and standard relationship.
But October made a note to herself that they were never normal people to begin with, so this type of relationship they had may work best for both of them.
As October thought of this, her expressionless face showed softness and a subtle yet sweet smile stretched on her pink lips. She stared at him with contentnt evident on her face, srizing Lexus in the process.
Lexus raised his elegant eyebrow at the beautiful sight in front of him and he could not help but also smile back at her. Curious, he gently asked, "What are you thinking?"
At that question, October’s smile broadened to the extent that her eyes squintened to crescents. She felt that Lexus’ body stiffened and his hold of her tightened but not at all hurting her.
"I’m thinking how strange of a couple we are."
Lexus nodded his head yet remained silent. He then grabbed October’s hand that was resting on his chest and placed it on his cheek. His ocean blue eyes danced in fervor as he continued to listen to the rest of October’s talk.
"But what I’m really thinking about is how lucky I am to have t you. I fell for my stepmother’s sche at that ti and, for the first ti, I felt so much hatred to her for ssing with my life, continuously sabotaging and my career. In fact, I was really worried about how I am going to face my subordinates given that a scandal exploded on dia that involves , their superior. Fortunately, they did not scorn or felt disgusted and still continued to treat like they normally do, at least not in front of ."
October does not know why she was saying this so openly like this to Lexus. Was it because he was her husband? Maybe. All she knew was that she can trust him with all of her.
Is what she was doing stupid, to trust this man like so? She does not know. But right now, words kept pouring out of her mouth and she does not know when she will ever stop. One thing was for sure, the more she talked to him about this, the lighter the weight was on her shoulder and on her heart.
"You really make so annoyed. Your coldness that gives everyone a shiver does not affect . Your blue eyes that were looking at always made feel like I was being sucked into them. Why is that?" October wondered as she tilted her head.
"I’m even thinking of thanking that so-called stepmother about her sches and falling into one. Because of her, I t you. But one thing is for sure though, I think I used up all of my luck and blessing in this lifeti just to et you and beco your wife." With that, October smiled as radiant as the sun and burried her blushing face deep into Lexus’ hard chest.
Seeing how desperate October was in trying to hide her red face in his chest, Lexus felt like his wife was now starting to control him. No. In fact, she was already controlling him. He vowed that he will never wrong her and let a single tear escape her eyes and instead give her all of his attention, care, and affection.
"Is this so sort of confession?" Lexus teased with a wide smirk hanging on his jade-like face. His voice was deep and gruff but was also light and warm.
October was about to say sothing when she heard Mother Song’s sigh. Both of their bodies tensed up before turning to her direction with embarrassnt clearly written on their faces. October pushed Lexus away from her in a hurry but the damn guy just won’t budge and was even tightening his hold of her, clearly not letting go in their embarrassing
There, Mother Song stood elegantly in her red dress with a hand on her chin as she sighed in envy at the young couple in front her who were displaying their affections for each other for all to see.
"Youngsters these days..." Mother Song shook her head. "Now I miss my husband. He never failed to spoil but currently, he is busy with the business that I am getting jealous of his work where he spends most of his ti on it than ."
Sowhere in City A, a certain person sneezed in his office making his personal assistant to worry.
"Anyway, you two should stop hugging each other for now. Let’s eat dinner for I am already starving. After that, you two can just find a room, I an, go back into your room and continue where you left off, okay? Good? Good! Let’s go." With that said, Mother Song confidently strode off into the dining hall, accompanied by the soft clicking of her stilletos.
Lexus was reluctant to let go of his wife. Fortunately, he controlled himself and thought of his mother’s sensible suggestion and nodded silently. He then settlee in holding October’s hand as they too went into the dining hall.
Once inside, the food’s mouth-watering aroma wafted in the air, causing a ripple in October’s stomach. She did not realize that she was so hungry, not until she entered the dining hall.
Mother Song was the first one to sit on the chair. Lexus sat on the head of table while October sat next to him.
