At this point, it was obvious to Mei that it wasn't the best timing to ask about setting up a music studio,
He would probably reject the idea because he was still mad . .
'I'll ask him in a little while once he calms down' Mei thought as she sat down at her respective area
She couldn't help but feel Sora's occasional glances at her
The atmosphere was pretty awkward in the room until Sora Lin's rough voice could be heard saying
"For your first assignment as one of our top hackers, you are to be put on trial . "
"Put on trial??" Mei questioned . She thought that she was already put through a trial to be here . .
"Yes . Though I am definitely aware of what you can do, it would be more assuring for many employees if they knew of your true capabilities . "
"Sure, I guess that's fine . But what will I be tested on??" Mei questioned once again
"About that, many of my panies other hackers feel its impolite for you and your sister to appear out of nowhere and suddenly be at the top of the list . " Sora paused
"So we will be holding, sort of a secret hacker petition . "
'Interesting . . . ' Mei Koi thought
"So the way it will work Is all the chosen hackers will be receiving a laptop . They must protect that laptop from being invaded or hacked . Once that person is hacked, they are out of the petition . So you will have to try to hack everyone else's laptop, whilst protecting yours at the same time . If anyone manages to beat you, then they will take your place as the top hacker . "
''Interesting . . . though wouldn't it be simpler to just see who is the first person to successfully hack the pentagon or some secure government document??" Mei questioned
Sora coughed and then said "I don't believe many of our hackers have the same skill set as you . Not to mention we are trying to refrain from doing anything TOO illegal . . "
"Oh, Okay . . . " then Mei had a thought "WAIT . . . will Ali be doing the same thing as me??" It would be sort of a problem if Ali and Mei were peting against each other (for some obvious reasons . . . )
"About that . No, She will not be doing the same mission as you . She is doing a top secret mission for her trial . If should be of the same difficulty level as the one you are doing
for your trial . "
"Oh, okay . . . " Mei said
"Oh, and don't expect to see Ali for a little while . Her mission should take a while . "
"What?!?!"
