Chapter 808: Chapter 787: Is He Really a Man?

Downstairs, Alette Larson was carried all the way from the elevator to Lucas Sandy’s room, despite her punching and kicking the whole ti. The man did not let go and seed deaf to her protests as if she wasn’t talking to him at all.

To be carried to his room in such a manner was already quite embarrassing and unbecoming, but to make matters worse, they bumped into Michael Gordon, the dashing groom, who publicly teased the pair.

“So anxious for the bridal chamber, do you even know how?”

Whether Lucas knew or not, Alette had no idea, but it seed pretty clear that she didn’t!

Though she was full of theoretical knowledge, the opportunity to practice evidently… simply didn’t exist!

Know how? Of course, she didn’t!

Thinking this, Alette felt utterly mortified. To have been caught in such an embarrassing situation by Michael Gordon of all people, she didn’t know if she would ever be able to look her boss in the eye again!

With this thought, her attempts to punch and kick beca even more ferocious, but alas, such feeble efforts were regarded as nothing in the man’s eyes.

Seeing this, Lucas couldn’t help but quicken his pace, turning three steps into two he left the elevator and headed straight to his room.

With a bang, the door flew open, and just as Alette thought she would be flung onto the bed as fiercely as the female lead in a romance novel, dizzied and disoriented, she even prepared herself by closing her eyes!

But unexpectedly, just as she braced for the anticipated fall, the story did not unfold as she had imagined it, and the dizziness from being thrown onto the bed by the man never ca. Her head felt stuffy, and she tried to make out his expression and guess his intentions. But before she could even lift her head, her lips were seized by his kiss.

To call it a kiss might be an overstatent; it was more like a bite. Clearly, the man had no great experience in kissing. The last ti at the hospital, when their lips had touched, she distinctly felt how clumsily he kissed, barely any different from herself, who hadn’t even had her first kiss.

But now, the word “clumsy” was far from adequate to describe it. It was obviously idiotic; what kind of kissing was this, nibbling on her like she was a pig’s head or chicken feet?

Instinctively, her hands tried to push him away, but as soon as she pushed, her body slid down from his. She thought he would let go, but instead, the man pressed down on her slowly, and only when she found herself on Mia Rowen’s quilt did Alette realize she was being pressed down onto the bed by him!

The nibbling kiss slowly morphed into sothing resembling a genuine kiss, and the man’s movents beca noticeably smoother. What bothered Alette, though, was that his initially normal breathing seed to quicken, becoming increasingly urgent, clearly abnormal, like those patients in desperate need of rescue. Having no experience in such matters, and being completely clueless about the opposite sex, Alette was frightened by this turn of events!

Could he be injured?

Is that why his breathing beca abnormal after just a few kisses?

Perhaps it was her nurse’s instinct, but as the most professional and seasoned nurse there was, she was exquisitely sensitive to human health, heartbeat, and breathing. Hearing Lucas’s breaths, she could tell they were clearly abnormal!

“Lucas, what’s the matter with you? What’s not right?”

She actually wanted to show concern, to ask if he was injured sowhere, but in the midst of this soundless worry, Alette found herself unable to voice such thoughts, so when she spoke, it ca out like this.

What’s not right?

The more Lucas heard this, the less it seed to make sense to him. His face turned grim instantly, and his hoarse voice carried a desperate craving, yet he didn’t know how to find a breakthrough, so…

“Don’t worry, I’m normal in every aspect, and right now I’m actually making a great effort to prove that I’m a normal man!”

Alette Larson: “…”

That statent…

F*ck!

Alette Larson belatedly realized that her words were full of pitfalls, giving the man plenty of chances for misunderstanding, and the implication of his words was so blatantly suggestive that even an idiot could understand what he ant!

Blushing at the thought of what Ivy Aretha had said earlier, Alette feared this man might have taken Ivy’s words to heart and really intended to have his way with her on soone else’s night of new romance.

No, she hadn’t forgiven him yet!

He had been incommunicado for so long and ca back without a word, without a single explanation, and now he thought he could just dive into the bed sheets—he wished!

Madeline said you really can’t indulge a man: treat him like a treasure, and he’ll treat you like dirt. That scumbag Theo Scott was a pri example of this. So…

“Lucas Sandy, who was it that said in front of Ivy earlier that they lacked experience and needed to study more before doing this kind of thing? What are you trying to do now… Are you trying to go back on your word?” His body was pressing down on her, and one hand was already unbuttoning her bridesmaid dress, the action, the implication, very clear…

“Lucas Sandy, you, a real man, sang one tune to her face and another behind her back. What you told Sister Ivy just now, and what you’re doing now, how can you not keep your word? Are you even a man?”

Are you even a man?

Lucas Sandy’s eyes twitched at the remark—it was like a strike at his very life!

Even if he wasn’t a man, her question alone would have turned him into one. How had he never noticed before that this pure, innocent nurse, who seed to have eyes only for her patients, could be so alluring? He, who had never wanted to know what a woman tasted like, was now so directly provoked by her words that he was struggling to restrain himself!

Lucas Sandy was convinced his self-control was top-notch; as a doctor in the Special Forces, soone who could easily dismiss drugs, his willpower was not sothing the average person could match. And yet he was almost undone by this woman before him…

“Whether or not I’m a man?” Lucas Sandy halted all his movents, just looking down intently at her nervous yet defiant little face, and let out a low chuckle—a sinister chuckle that spread into a perfect, breathtaking curve, “Aren’t I actively proving to you whether I’m a man or not? Or do you think my actions are too slow?”

Alette Larson: “…”

Talking to a brick wall!

What is all this nonsense with no rhy or reason!

No, why does it sowhat feel like Mr. Gordon’s style?

“Lucas Sandy, cut the crap with . You vanished without a trace, and didn’t even bother to make a phone call, which already knocked you off the list of qualifications for being my boyfriend. You’re just a stranger now, so don’t even think about getting into the bed sheets with !”
