This word wasn’t new; the man she and Julie Harrison bumped into in the garden that afternoon had called her that too. He not only called her cousin but also claid to be her, now another one appears!

Ivy Aretha felt her mind was in chaos—two strangers claiming to be her cousins appeared, one cold and sinister, the other deep and calculating. She had a bad feeling about all of this, and her intuition told her that they were up to no good.
Especially since this man had sothing to do with Alya Larson, who always saw her as a love rival. Ivy didn’t believe that all of a sudden, Alya would want to be her cousin. She missed a lot of the details that were right in front of her.
“Cousin, it seems that you really don’t want to go back to your family for this man?”
The man’s eyes were sharp and dazzling as they stared at Ivy Aretha through the bright bonfire. His voice was surprisingly calm, “Do you know what this man has done to you?”
“I don’t want to know, and I advise you not to tear apart our relationship. We were originally strangers; why should I listen to you?”
Ivy found it laughable. She didn’t even know him, and he had the guts to try to drive a wedge between her and Michael. “Honey, let’s go see the bride and ignore these boring people chatting nonsense!”
She could guess what the man would say next—both good and bad—but that wasn’t the point. The point was, she had no interest.
It was foolish to listen when she already knew he would try to cause a rift.

Michael was interrupted before he could finish by the man on the opposite side.
“Cousin, don’t you want to know why, all of a sudden, Calvin Gordon put aside his deep hatred for you at the hospital and even allowed you to call him Father?”
Sammy Lowe’s words hit Ivy right in the head and shook her entire being: “What do you an?”
That one ti after Madeline’s child was lost, she ran into Calvin Gordon at the hospital. His attitude was strange, to say the least. In short, it was just what Sammy was implying now. A terrifying thought then struck Ivy, “You’ve been following ?”
“Cousin, don’t say it like that. I’m your cousin, how could I follow you? This is called caring for you!”
Sammy Lowe maintained the sa frightening focus in his gaze as last ti when they were on their way back to the temple. This was not the kind of look that belonged between family mbers. Ivy’s temper flared up, and her patience vanished in an instant. Her mind was filled with questions about Calvin Gordon’s sudden willingness to acknowledge her. This was the man who had once wanted her dead!

Sammy Lowe mulled over the word as if he found it unbelievable. Then he imdiately returned to normal, ultimately finding it natural. “Indeed, you are the only person in this world who has the right to tell
