Chapter 627: Chapter 606: Hmm, I’ll be fine!

“Pfft!”

Jaysen Smith, who was still sowhat puzzled by why the woman’s mood had changed so much today, burst out laughing when he heard her words, “Because you’re a woman, all you have to do is lie down and enjoy it. Let your handso husband do these actions for you!”

Madeline: “…”

“So, husband, you do it for !”

After saying that, Madeline stopped all her movents, staring at him with her watery eyes, her long eyelashes brushing his lips, challenging the man’s self-control. Jaysen truly thought he would eventually be ruined by this woman.

“Alright!”

Jaysen looked at her for a mont, agreed first, and then asked softly, examining her face, “Why the sudden decision to make love?”

As he said this, Jaysen’s gaze slowly moved from her charming and enchanting face, down, inch by inch, to her flat abdon, vaguely feeling that she might know sothing but was afraid to ask, in case it wasn’t true.

Although it was she who initiated the idea of having a child, and also she who wanted to get pregnant, it had always been him who took the initiative in bedroom matters. Today’s sudden proactiveness really made him feel more and more uneasy.

“Does making love need a reason?”

Madeline wrapped her arms around the man’s neck, her clear eyes forcing an enchanting allure. Instead of being seductive, it made people feel heartache.

“Madeline…”

“Oh, so making love must have a reason!”

Before Jaysen could say what he wanted, Madeline interrupted him with a look of sudden enlightennt, and her soft, delicate voice fell, “I thought, as long as you want to, it’s enough, husband…”

As her soft voice addressed him as husband, her kiss fell again. This ti, Jaysen did not avoid it, nor did he respond; he just remained motionless as the woman enveloped him.

Even though they were doing a passionate act, Madeline’s heart clenched painfully. It was supposed to be a passionate kiss, but at last, it turned into a tearful one.

Jaysen stared unblinkingly at the woman who kissed him chaotically, her burning tears falling down her cheeks. This was not a kiss, but a desperate outburst of emotions.

His heart was suddenly lifted, a sense of thunder in a clear sky rang in his mind, and Jaysen felt suffocated. He had to admit the fact that…

In the next mont, Jaysen’s hand that had been supporting the sofa lifted, clasped the woman’s waist, and with a pull, she fell into his chest. The kiss finally stopped when their tears reached their peak.

“Madeline, about the baby, you…”

Not knowing how to explain, Jaysen still tried, but he was interrupted by the woman who seed to sense what he wanted to say, covering his mouth, and finishing his unspoken words for him.

“We will have a baby again!”

Madeline’s slender hands hooked around the man’s neck, her head resting gently on his chest, her voice filled with the hoarseness of recent tears, and the pain in her heart, “As long as we try, our baby will surely co back!”

Co back?

Despite having already guessed that she might know the baby was gone, and her mood being so off this afternoon, all he did was go to the reception room to see soone. When he ca back, she had already wrapped herself in the quilt and fell asleep with the doll. Even in her sleep, she seed restless, whispering in her dreams not to leave and such. He was worried, so he brought his notebook into the room to work.

But the situation didn’t improve. The sleeping person kept pleading for help, to save her and the baby. However, when he walked over and touched her forehead, her usually delicate and weak hands grabbed his with astonishing strength. With a pull, he was dragged onto the bed, and the woman clung to him as if she had found a reliable chest to lean on.

This feeling both delighted and worried him. He was happy that she finally could not live without him, but worried because this reliance was not what he had hoped for. All he wanted was for her to be okay, not for her to cling to him and cause his heart to ache.

The thing he had always been worried about finally happened.

Had she found out after hiding it for so long?

“Mmm, the baby will definitely co back, so, Madeline, you must be strong!”

Although he had prepared himself, Jaysen still felt choked as he spoke. Having a child’s love before birth, a father could never compare to a mother. A mother’s connection to her child, a father could not feel. He might be sad, but it was just sad. What Madeline was experiencing was entirely different; the feeling of her child disappearing bit by bit in her body!

“Mmm, I will be strong!”

Seeing the man’s struggle and suppressed agony in his eyes, reaching the brink of collapse, Madeline knew she should not let him worry any more. “Jaysen, I’m fine, really! I’m not as fragile as you think!”

Feeling the man’s palpable guilt, regret, and endless heartache, she instinctively stretched out her hand to gently caress his pale face and sunken eye sockets, “Life is unpredictable, and there’s no smooth sailing. Our baby ca and left before birth, which ans the ti isn’t right. They want to test us first to see if we’re worthy to be their parents. When they’re ready, they’ll co to us!”

Her soft, tender voice, and swirling, gentle eyes seed to have truly accepted this reality and let go in just one afternoon.

“Yes, the baby is just testing us. As long as we pass the test, they will co back and be our happy baby!”

As Jaysen spoke, his voice choked, his eyes trembling, even without glasses, his eyes didn’t disguise his emotions well. As he tried to comfort, sadness seeped through more and more.

“So, husband, don’t be sad, okay?”

Seeing Jaysen like this really made her heart ache, “You spent so much ti loving , not to bring pain. Jaysen, I love you, so I hope you won’t live only for , but also for yourself!”
