Looking at him, Jaysen felt like she could see into the depths of his soul and reveal the darkness within. Lying to her about their child felt even more guilty under such an intense gaze.
“Jaysen!”

“I just realized, what I felt for Theo Scott before, it wasn’t love!”
As the woman gazed at him earnestly, Jaysen didn’t feel upset by the ntion of Theo Scott. He sensed that she had more to say, so he followed her words and asked, “Then what was it?”

As he spoke, Jaysen playfully pinched her nose, then took the warm water that had been prepared beside the bed and handed it to her lips, signaling her to open her mouth and drink.

After she had enough to drink, she responded to Jaysen, “Yes, I didn’t know before either. I thought it was love.
