Chapter 1112: Chapter 1092: Fake Marriage!

“What should I do, Nana?”

Speaking in a low voice, Nana questioned herself, wondering if there was any point in continuing these blind dates.

Ever since Bella Gordon married Roy Thompson, she hadn’t seen him again. She’d automatically blocked out all information about him, even deliberately walking away whenever soone brought him up. It wasn’t for any other reason than to hope she could forget him sooner, start her own life, and stop worrying her parents.

But as easy as it was to think about, it proved incredibly difficult in practice. Despite years of effort, she ultimately ended up defeated.

Nana leaned against the sofa by the dining table, exhaustedly closed her eyes, and found herself sinking into a deep state of confusion.

“Nora, what’s wrong?”

After so ti, a soft and gentle voice reached her ears. When Nana opened her eyes, she saw a face that was both familiar and unfamiliar. It had been more than five years – how ti had flown. The boy who once was green had now beco a mature and steady man, “John?”

It wasn’t that she was uncertain, but rather she was afraid to be certain. The young man who used to speak little and blush at the slightest thing had now adopted the refined and cultured deanor of a Young Master. His grey knitted shirt matched with jeans gave him a handso and natural look, yet exuded an imposing aura. So people are born looking commanding, like his father and Uncle Gordon; others appear gentle but their commanding presence cos from within, like Uncle Smith.

It was clear that Willy Smith had inherited that from his father; with one look he seed like a Young Master, but with another, he was a domineering CEO!

However, unlike others, this man seed to never speak with the imposing tone of a CEO. His voice was mild and still carried a warmth.

“It’s . What, don’t you recognize ?”

Willy Smith looked at her and smiled faintly, “You, on the other hand, never changed at all!”

They say won transform significantly over eighteen years, but in the eyes of Willy Smith, this woman seed to have never changed, always looking the way she did in his heart.

“You’re joking, how can soone not change? I’ve gotten older, otherwise why would I need to go on blind dates!”

Since the awkward mont earlier must also be known to Willy Smith, Nana decided not to hide it and spoke up, “Thank you for earlier, I didn’t expect sothing like that to happen!”

“Don’t ntion it, it was just a coincidence, I was here for a blind date too!”

Willy Smith shrugged nonchalantly as he spoke, yet he was sowhat nervous and afraid Nana might bla him for ddling. They hadn’t seen each other in many years since that awkward night, and Willy couldn’t quite grasp her mood.

As the saying goes, the more you care, the more careful you beco.

“You’re here for a blind date too?”

When Nana heard this, she was nearly moved to an excited scream. The feeling of commiseration surged through her body in an instant, as if it had taken over her heart, “No wonder you dressed so sharply. So you’re here for a blind date, how did it go?”

She had been puzzled why he was out eating at this ti, as most would co straight from work in their shirts and suits, their attire impeccable. He had actually changed into a casual knitted shirt, clearly on purpose. At first, she just thought he looked good without considering the context, but now that he ntioned it, Nana instantly understood.

“Does it look good?”

Willy Smith’s mind was filled with only one thought, that she must wonder why he dressed so smartly, but the latter parts of ‘how’ and ‘what,’ he didn’t catch a single word!

Because blind dating and stuff were not the focus—the focus was that he wore these clothes for her to see. If he hadn’t known she was here on a blind date, he wouldn’t have co to a blind date himself; this was actually the first ti he had properly dined with soone.

In the past, whenever Sienna Harrison tricked him into a blind date, he’d discover it imdiately and leave with a cold face, without an ounce of politeness!

“Of course, looking very handso!”

Nana Jensen was never stingy with complints, moreover, they had grown up together, though they had an awkward incident when they were kids, that was all in the past now. Now that they were grown up, all those mories were naturally blocked and forgotten, “How about the girl just now? Fancy her or not?”

“Fancy? I’m here because I’m scared ****less by my mother. If I didn’t co, she would say I’m unfilial and threaten to stuff

back into her belly to rebirth a daughter!”

“Pfft!”

Hearing this, Nana Jensen finally laughed at the serious words he repeated from Aunt Harrison’s rant, “Rebirth a daughter, sa here, my mom’s doing the sa, pressuring

to blind-date every day. I’ve been on countless since I ca back to the country; if I continue like this, I think I’m going to go insane!”

“You’ve been on a lot of dates?”

“Yes, I’m the only daughter in the Jensen family, and there’s no one to follow, my mom is totally fretting. But how can you force sothing like feelings?”

Nana Jensen, who was already feeling suppressed, seeing Willy Smith talk about the tribulations of blind dating, felt like an oppressed slave finding a fellow sufferer. She opened up and spilled all her trapped complaints she hadn’t been able to express before— and the reason she opened up to him was probably because they had grown up together and felt a shared misery.

“Yeah, but the adults don’t know, I don’t want to go on blind dates either!”

Willy Smith lowered his eyes, trying to mask the tastelessly complicated feelings inside, “I’ve been thinking recently, if all else fails, I’ll just find soone to enter into a fake marriage to pacify my mom a bit, and then when I et the right one later, just get a divorce!”

As he said this, Willy Smith’s heart rate was almost enough to burst his eardrums!

He was gambling, betting on her reaction, to see if she would be interested, and sure enough…

“A fake marriage?”

Upon hearing those three words, Nana Jensen’s excitent spiked, “Are you talking about the contractual marriages that are popular in novels and online? You know, the kind where you have the na of a spouse but not the actual relationship?”

Nowadays, society is full of quirks. Ordinary people do it to divide houses, squabble over the inheritance; affluent families enter contractual marriages for business alliances, often marrying soone they don’t love. They sign an agreent, divorce after accomplishnt; the concept Nana Jensen once found ludicrous now seed like a lifeline!

Sure enough, when pushed to a corner, people can think of anything!

“Yeah, else with my mom’s temperant, you know how it is, if she starts up with , I have no recourse—not even my dad has any say. I can’t even go to work properly. But this blind-dating thing relies on fate; it’s not sothing you just stumble upon when you want to! So I was thinking, if there’s soone suitable for a contractual marriage, then later on…”

“Who do you have in mind? Any suitable candidates?”

This was her only concern because she was also thinking…
