Chapter 6: He Wanted To Know Her More
’Is he really interested in ?’ Arya thought to herself while she followed Ryu Ken inside the car. She did not hesitate anymore since the incident last night. It proved that he could really be trusted.
Inside the car, Ryu spoke, "I just wonder, how co you never asked for my na? Do you know ?"
Arya turned her head to look at Ryu and said, "Of course I know you. You are Ryu Ken. Who in hell won’t recognize a person like you? Your face is often all over the newspapers, magazines and social dia. I am not that isolated, you know."
Ryu laughed and asked, "So, you knew who I am from the start?"
Arya creased her eyebrows and said derisively, "Hello... I just answered you a while ago. That ans I knew you from the start. You’re famous, and I am sure you are well aware of that. Anyway, where are we going?"
"Shopping complex," He said simply. Arya’s eyes widened as she gulped, "Oh don’t tell
you will shop and ask
to pay? You’re a billionaire. I won’t afford your standards in shopping!" Arya suddenly got worried, what if he asked her to pay for his shopping to compensate him?
She added without batting an eye, "Besides, I believe I did not disturb you that much to compensate you to the highest level. We can even call it quits since you saw my precious body for free!"
Ryu laughed hard. She was a straightforward person and he liked that. It was the first ti he t soone like her because most of the ti girls acted shy, prim and proper whenever they were with him. He hated those hypocrite won, who wanted to just get his attention or get on his good side.
"That’s not quits, don’t you know that it’s more inconvenient for
to see that precious body of yours?" He said with a deep aning while grinning.
"Don’t worry. You will just accompany
there okay. It’s lonely to walk around on your own." He said still grinning.
"Why don’t you bring your assistant then? Aren’t you scared to get involved in a scandal?" Arya said in an irritating tone.
"It’s better to be seen with a woman than a man don’t you think so?" He answered with a jest. It was true, but he believed no one would dare to spread rumors after the incident with Liza. He hated fake news, so he made sure to teach a good lesson and remind those, who tried to ss with him.
Inside the shopping complex, Arya just followed Ryu Ken and her eyeballs almost popped out, seeing a tie costing thousands of dollars.
’Billionaire’s don’t know where to spend their money.’ She thought while sighing.
Her phone rang, so she excused herself for a while and went to the restroom. It was her mother.
anwhile, Ryu saw a nice bag he thought would look good on Arya so he purchased it. He actually bought three different designs and colors, and he was smiling while he anticipated her reaction, once she received those.
Arya returned inside the shop and saw Ryu with paper bags. "Do you need help?" she asked, offering her hand to carry so of his paper bags.
"Nope, my assistant will be here in a minute to get these bags," Ryu said.
Arya was the one, who decided where to go for dinner since she would be the one paying.
After dinner, they went back to the hotel. Ryu walked her off to her room, which was just near his.
’He seed to be a nice person.’ She thought inwardly. She dialed Kay.
"Hey, you really don’t have an idea on what happened? Ryu Ken seems not that bad." She said. She was hesitating once more to complete the task. She heard Kay sigh.
"I really don’t know. I am not even that close to Rita. She was the one, who contacted
because a friend recomnded . She just paid
to find the right person, to her taste and report the progress of the task." Kay explained.
Then, he added, "We can’t back down now. Your sister’s operation is tomorrow. Your father’s case is also running with good progress."
Kay sighed and continued, "Another option is to confess everything to Ryu. But that’s too risky because we are not really sure what his personality is. It’s either he will help with your situation or will be angered and won’t even be bothered with you at that stage. You still have a choice, and I will support you despite your final decision."
Arya just inhaled and exhaled deeply. It’s too early to tell. Anyway, who was she to Ryu? She was a nobody that he had t just yesterday.
Her thoughts were interrupted by the doorbell. "Yes?" she asked after opening the door.
"Good evening madam. Sir Ryu would like you to have these." The man said as he handed her three paper bags.
The man quickly left after giving her the paper bags. Arya opened it and was shocked. There were three expensive bags and her eyes almost dropped due to the prices. "Why would he give
these?" Arya asked loudly.
She quickly put the bags back in the paper bags and walked out to Ryu Ken’s room.
"Hey there, get inside." Ryu was smiling wide as he opened the door for her. Arya entered and placed the paper bags on the table. "Why did you give
these?" she asked, frowning.
"You don’t like them?" Ryu asked while preparing a coffee.
"Of course I like them. They are pretty and so pricy. Who wouldn’t I? I’m asking you, why are you giving
those. We are not close enough I believe." Arya said.
"I don’t need to be close with soone to send gifts, just so you know. Besides, you have ntioned before that I should be the one to compensate you, for seeing your precious body. Just accept them so you won’t feel burden whenever I ask you to accompany
or treat
to als." Ryu said simply as he handed her the coffee.
He was comfortable around Arya. Their hands touched and he shook his head. He felt sothing even with just a simple skin to skin touch with Arya.
He was definitely interested in her and he wanted to see how much that interest would grow as days went by. He wanted to know her more. He smiled, seeing Arya no longer comnted and just accepted his reasoning.
