Shawn and Denise got down from the helicopter and sat down in the back seat of the luxurious car arranged by Ryu at the helipad. It would take them another half an hour or more to reach the Old Man Skull’s mansion.

Denise was tensed and Shawn could notice her panic by the way she looked at him and held his arm. Shawn slid his one arm around her and brought her close to himself and held her chin with his other hand, looked into her eyes and said, "What happened? Are you fine?"

Denise nodded and then tears started flowing from her eyes. She wrapped her arms around Shawn and let her emotions calm down first.

"No need, I have already called my dad and our driver will arrive soon." Denise said irritably.

Denise tried hard not to vomit on the Old Man Skull’s hideous face and smiled in amazent instead.

Old Man Skull smirked as he thought that he would still have a good use for Shawn. For now, he would let go of Shawn’s beating since that would be visible to Denise.

But he would want to still torture and punish Shawn for disappointing him these past few days.
