They stripped slowly, one by one pieces of clothes flew here and there, and every ti the uproar would be louder.
Soon the Cowboys only had their jeans and hats on as they danced and entertained the ladies. Jumping on the erected poles they perford the synchronised pole dance.
Girls were on their feet cheering them up. Every ti they did a dangerous manoeuvre, the crowd’s hearts would jump in their throats.
But all Skyla could rember was Zyair doing it for her and countless tis he must have done it on these poles, unwillingly.
It saddened her heart but then the thought of him being liberated from this life and now living it on his terms placed the smile back on her face.
Moving forward they will live it on their terms and this was a night to let loose and enjoy and that was what she was planning on doing.
The boys hung upside down on the poles and called Skyla forward on the stage to stand between them.
Claps and howls followed their requests.
"Go, go." Huria pushed her and Skyla got up, taking confident strides she went up to the stage and took her position.
Three of them pointed to her, made backflips and perfectly landed all around her, amidst the cheers and hoots. Erdith’s loud whistles could be heard all the way up on the stage.
Their naked chests heaved, and a sheen of perspiration coated them as they ensured to provide maximum entertainnt without touching her.
"Ladies of the house, we present to you the Lady of the evening," they chanted.
Crowd cheered.
Skyla dramatically brought her arm forward and took a bow. She then turned around to thank the three males for a lovely performance and for making up her night.
The guys were all smiles, and while the two remained quiet the one in the lead quietly whispered to her so only she could hear in the middle of the loud noise. He was the sa tanned guy who had crowned her earlier.
"If I could have a word later." There was this edge of expectancy in his voice and Skyla saw herself nodding before she walked off stage and joined her friends.
Huria handed her the glass of Negroni while Mawar shouted.
"That was wild."
"Loved their performance," Erdith added while sipping on her pink-shaded Cosmopolitan with a hint of li.
Skyla took a sip of her own and settled down adjusting her crown. Her cheeks burnt and the atmosphere seed to have gotten hotter.
The girls finished their drinks and decided to dance. The music had changed to a high-tempo one.
Criminal By Britney Spears now played, the girls hit the dance floor to dance the night away and get wasted.
They danced for a while letting the music invigorate their senses, setting themselves free.
Skyla danced for a while before she felt hot and needed a drink. She hand-signed Huria and made her way to the bar to get herself another drink. Settling down near the marble bar she placed her arms on it.
The handso bartender turned to her with an enigmatic smile and asked with mischief.
"What can I serve the Queen of the Night?"
"Hit up with an iced tea."
"Make that two." A deep rumbling voice spoke from her right, making her turn to face the guy. The tanned guy with intense brown eyes, graciously smiled while settling down in the seat next to her. He had donned a black t-shirt now that hugged him like a second skin.
"Coming right up." The bartender moved away to fix their drinks.
"You wanted to talk to ?" Skyla asked, keeping eye contact with the guy.
"Yes, I hope you won’t mind. It’s nothing inappropriate but it’s regarding Calix." Skyla’s right brow shot up at his words.
"Rember, if you say anything negative about him, I will punch you in the face," she told him with a fierceness that extended to her eyes. The guy raised his hands in self-defence and let out a rumbling laugh.
"Nothing bad, I swear."
"Go on then." Skyla leaned back on the stool but lack of back support made her halt. She had a clue what he must be wanting to say, judging from his face she could guess he was Zyair’s age so it was most likely they knew each other.
"Calix and I used to share the sa room at tis when he was here. He was extrely introverted but his heart was always too kind. What I am getting at is that I’m happy he t you and made a complete turnaround in his life. He was too smart to be a stripper, he didn’t belong here," he concluded with a sincere smile, making Skyla see him in a new light.
"Oh! Did you know my fiancé? What’s your na?"
"Azik, and yes I did."
"Tell more about him, Azik." Although Skyla and Zyair shared a lot now, there were still these dark years of his life she knew very little about. She never asked him about his life in Mirage and before anymore, knowing how ssed up and painful it was.
But here was a person who knew him during those darkest years and Skyla would love to know what Zyair was like when he was younger. It intrigued her.
The bartender had served their drinks and Azik took a sip of his iced tea before beginning.
"It will be my pleasure. Calix mostly kept to himself. He didn’t have many friends but if anyone ever needed help or money, Calix would always lend it. He was also very popular with the ladies because of his looks and also his soft heart. He knew the right words to say and his touch was always gentle. There was hardly ever a complaint about him."
Skyla’s heart couldn’t have swelled further than it already had hearing about her man. She knew he was extrely kind-hearted and Azik had confird it. Even with little he always shared.
"He is the best of n. The world fucked him over and yet he faced it with such resilience. I am proud to marry him," she told him with pride, her chest burnt from the intense love she held for that man.
"You are a very brave lady yourself. It delights to see one of us found true love and got out of this world. When the news was released, I was extrely happy for him. Not every day one of us climbs the stairs of success." His words sounded slightly bitter as he took another gulp of his iced tea, letting his Adam’s apple bob.
"Why don’t you get out too? Why keep living this life? Aren’t you tired?" Skyla asked wearily, trying to get a better understanding of Azik.
"Nah! My ti is gone to learn a new skill. This is all I know now. Besides, I love the ladies and their attention. They co to us broken and leave with smiles. There is no better feeling than to share so of our happiness with them. I am content." Skyla couldn’t comprehend much regret in his voice, he indeed seed happy with it and was probably making the most of what he had.
