Chapter 47: Shooting Oneself in the Foot

Li An’an hailed a taxi and left, but Gu Na’s eyes were full of viciousness as they followed her.
Chu Yichen put down the docunt he was holding and knocked on the half-opened car window. “The daughter raised by the Gu family must know her limits!”
Chu Yichen’s tone was deep and icy.
Gu Na was stunned for a mont. Then she understood that Chu Yichen was in fact warning her.
She hurriedly concealed the viciousness she was feeling. “Of course, why would I argue with a servant girl? I’m very cultured.”
Chu Yichen pursed his lips and ordered the driver to start the car.

“She’s just a servant girl. Chu Yichen won’t like her. Let her be smug for a few days.”
The Chu family wanted a gentle daughter-in-law, so she could not show her true self. But she had made a note against Li An’an.
At the Villa.
Li An’an shivered. Needless to say, soone must be cursing her. Chu Yichen and Gu Na were probably getting all ward up now!
Dinner.
Li An’an made spicy squid, spicy chicken, sour and spicy fish slices, and sour and spicy shredded potatoes.
Then, she waited for Chu Yichen to co ho for dinner.
He probably liked a change of taste occasionally.
Chu Yichen returned a little late for dinner because he had sothing to do in the office.
Li An’an had no choice but to heat up the dishes again.
When the dishes were served, Chu Yichen loosened his tie and glanced at her coldly.
Li An’an explained hurriedly. “This is Sichuan cuisine. It’s very delicious. Although it looks red, it’s not spicy at all. Go ahead and try it!”
Chu Yichen picked up his chopsticks and took a bite of the spicy chicken. The spiciness pierced his nose and challenged his bottom line.
His expression darkened as he took another bite.
Li An’an asked, “Do you think it’s good?”
Chu Yichen did not speak. He finished his bowl of rice and wiped his lips.
“It tastes good, but I can’t eat that much. Although, it’s not good to waste food. Finish the rest. Rember, you’re not allowed to leave any behind.”
Li An’an’s smile froze. She had shot herself in the foot.
Chu Yichen finished his al and went upstairs. Li An’an accepted her fate and started to eat her own food.
Actually, it tasted really good, but in order to play a trick on Chu Yichen, she had added a tonne of chili. It was too spicy. After taking a few bites, her tongue went numb. She gulped down water as she ate, sweating profusely from the food.
Chu Yichen stood at the staircase and watched her shooting herself in the foot.
“Young Master, do you want to prepare so snacks for you?” Butler Chu stood respectfully behind him and asked. Young Master had only eaten a bowl of rice just now, so he might not be full.
“Not hungry.” Other than whatever Li An’an cooked, Chu Yichen didn’t have much of an appetite for any other food. Besides, the dishes he’d just eaten tasted good, just that they were too spicy! He wasn’t used to it.
Chu Yichen went to the study, lit a cigarette and puffed on it slowly. Ever since Li An’an ca here, he felt that the house was much livelier! It was bustling.
“Young Master, Miss Luo wishes to see you.” His subordinate ca over to inform him.
Chu Yichen recalled what happened that night. They were so intimate and she was breathless. She often entered his dreams and made him lose sleep. However, when he saw the woman covered in gauze on the bed, he lost interest. “I’m not going.”
His subordinate retreated!
Downstairs, Li An’an’s stomach was hurting from drinking all that water, but at least she had finished all the dishes. She swore that she’d never do sothing so stupid again.
After tidying up the kitchen, she got off work and left the villa to pick up the children.
When she arrived at kindergarten, the teacher said that the child had already been taken away by God-daddy!
Li An’an gave Fu Yiheng a call. Fu Yiheng picked up the phone and told her the address.
They were in a Chinese restaurant not far from the kindergarten.
Li An’an found Fu Yiheng and the three kids. They were eating.
“Seriously, why didn’t you tell that you picked up the kids? You gave a scare.”
Fu Yiheng retorted, “I called you, but I couldn’t get through. Where did you go?”
Only then did Li An’an rember that her phone battery had run flat while she was cooking. She had charged it later on..
