Chapter 381: 381: Jiang Zhi goes into action, Jiang Tang CP being sweet (first update)

Fifth Hospital, VIP ward.

“Foreign companies hold 15% of the shares; even when Old Master Jiang was alive, he wanted to reclaim them,” Qiao Nanchu shook his head, “but there was basically no chance.”

He handed over the information he found to Jiang Zhi: “The Jiang collateral branches hold 9%, and the rest is in the hands of the Jiang Family mbers. Old Master Jiang’s will wasn’t made public, so how that 76% is distributed, only you Jiang Family mbers know.”

Jiang Zhi sat on the sofa, an IV stand behind him, his left hand’s back had a needle in it, his right hand held a pen: “Jiang Xiaolin and I each have 18%, the remaining shares are divided into four parts, Xu Jiuru’s shares have already been transferred to .”

That is to say, Jiang Fuxi, Jiang Fuli, and Jiang Wei’er each have 10%.

“This part,” Jiang Zhi circled the 9% held by the Jiang collateral branches, tapping the pen tip on it, “at least 5% should belong to Xu Jiuru.”

Qiao Nanchu crossed one leg over the other, resting the docunts on his knee: “What makes you say that?”

“Xu Jiuru dared to transfer her shares to because she must have a backup plan. Once I’m no longer useful, she will support Jiang Xiaolin and kick out of the ga.”

Jiang Zhi’s phone on the table rang; it was a reminder for Zhou Xufang to take folic acid.

He sent Zhou Xufang a WeChat ssage, and then continued: “Jiang Xiaolin already has 18%. Out of the remaining three parts, only Wei’er’s 10% is completely within Xu Jiuru’s power to move. I also hold 28%. To firmly suppress , she definitely has hidden assets.”

“So?” Qiao Nanchu still didn’t know what his plan was.

Under the pen tip, a small dot of ink spread, seeping over the number 9: “We need to make Xu Jiuru spit out that share first.”

Xu Jiuru’s life-saving card was not so easily relinquished.

Jiang Zhi picked up his phone and made a call: “Let Tang Xiang take charge of that Qiming Fund project.”

“Yes, Mr. Jiang.”

He hung up the phone to listen to the voice ssage Zhou Xufang had sent him.

Qiao Nanchu sat there, watching him manage his affairs with composure: “What are you going to do?”

“What Xu Jiuru taught ,” he said, “to kill with a borrowed knife.”

He put the phone to his ear, and Zhou Xufang’s docile voice ca through: “Okay.”

Jiang Mansion.

There were bursts of coughing inside the house.

Jiang Chuan entered the room: “Old Madam, Fifth Miss has co.”

Jiang Wei’er also entered.

All the windows in the room were closed, sunlight couldn’t shine in, and the light was sowhat dim.

Xu Jiuru sat up from the bed and called her: “Wei’er, co here.”

Jiang Wei’er walked to the bedside.

Xu Jiuru had been bedridden for quite so days, looking very ill, with deep hollows under her eyes: “What’s wrong with you today?”

“Nothing much,” she answered nonchalantly.

Xu Jiuru drew her closer: “Why did you suddenly ntion your brother and sister?” Her voice was weak and soft, “Are you still blaming ?”

Jiang Wei’er didn’t say anything.

Xu Jiuru thought her sour mood was due to Xiao Linsu and sighed: “Better to bla than to bla yourself, cough cough cough.”

She covered her mouth and coughed, her lungs uncomfortable, unable to straighten her back, hunched over.

“How can you still be coughing so badly?” Jiang Wei’er’s eyes turned sour, she bent her head and sat by the bed to help ease her breathing.

“I’m old; my body can’t take it anymore.”

Indeed, she was over seventy.

“Did you take your dicine?”

Xu Jiuru said she did: “Shiyu said it’s because of excessive worry; the dicine is not effective.”

Excessive worry?

Worried about how to deal with the Lu Family, considering how to take down Jiang Zhi?

“Brother Zhi, he—” Halfway through her sentence, Jiang Wei’er stopped herself.

Xu Jiuru followed up: “What about him?”

Her inner balance swung continuously, wrestling with right and wrong, closeness and distance—all beca entangled. Jiang Wei’er had a mont of struggle in her eyes, she kept silent for a long ti, then said, “Nothing much.”

Gui Family inquired at the door; the dicine was ward up, asking if it should be brought in.

Jiang Wei’er got up and went out first.

Xu Jiuru instructed the Gui Family to bring in the dicine, then turned to ask Jiang Chuan: “What is Brother Zhi doing?”

“This morning, he went to et with Chairman Ming from Baidex dical Equipnt.”

Baidex dical Equipnt was a long-term partner of the Lu Family.

“He’s finally about to take action.”

She was about to get her wish, the excitent in her eyes uncontainable. Her originally dull pupils lit up with eager anticipation: “Jiang Zhi is a man I taught by hand; I couldn’t be clearer about his thods. If he really makes a move, the Lu Family’s days of peace will be over.”

Jiang Chuan agreed, saying they could sleep soundly now.

Sleep soundly?

Others would be tornted for their sins, unable to rest; yet it seed the opposite was true for her.

Jiang Wei’er, holding the bowl of dicine, did not go in; after a long wait, she handed the bowl to the Gui Family: “You take it in. Don’t ntion .”

The Gui Family nodded.

Jiang Wei’er walked out to the courtyard, overhearing Luo Changfang on the phone, her voice loud and emotional.

“Tang Xiang took over?”

“Watch out for her, if we get caught, not just you but I’ll have to do ti as well.”

“Hold on to that money tightly.”

Jiang Wei’er shook her head.

That’s the Jiang Family for you, a quagmire.

Zhou Group.

Knock, knock, knock.

“Co in.”

The person who entered was the director of the marketing departnt, Liu Yitong.

He handed so docunts onto the desk: “Mr. Tang, these are the project docunts from Qiming Fund.”

Tang Xiang was slightly nearsighted, she put on her glasses and skimd through them: “What about the financial data?”

“That part of the information is with President Wu.”

“Call Wu Ting over.” After Tang Xiang finished speaking, the internal phone rang.

It was the secretary calling.

“Mr. Tang, the person in charge from the Jiang Family is here.”

Zhou Group was discussing a cooperation case with the Jiang Family.

“Let him in.” Tang Xiang hung up and instructed Liu Yitong, “Go ahead with your work, I’ll talk to Wu Ting later.”

“Then I’ll go busy myself.”

Just as Liu Yitong opened the office door, he saw a familiar face – wasn’t this cooperation case just a small project? Did it necessitate his personal visit? He was quite surprised: “Mr. Jiang.”

Hearing this, Tang Xiang looked up: “What brings you here?”

Jiang Xiaolin entered the office and closed the door behind him: “I’m here to sign the contract.”

“Just sending a business manager would have sufficed.”

He sat down on the couch opposite her as if he knew his way around: “I was just passing by, so I decided to drop in.”

Tang Xiang didn’t ask which way he was passing by, just took the contract and sat down across from him: “Take a look and see if there are any issues you’d like to raise.”

It was their first ti discussing business face to face like this.

Jiang Xiaolin flipped through the contract in his hands, in a good mood.

Tang Xiang dialed the internal line: “Bring in two cups of coffee, one without sugar.”

He didn’t like it sweet.

During their college freshman year, because of a debt issue, Tang Xiang had run errands for him for half a year and had thoroughly figured out his preferences.

By the ti the coffee was brought in, Jiang Xiaolin had only flipped through one page of the contract. He sat leisurely, drinking his coffee and crossing his legs, his suit jacket thrown aside.

After a while, Tang Xiang asked: “Are you done looking?”

He turned the page unhurriedly: “Not yet.”

“Then take your ti.”

Tang Xiang went back to her work, not acting as if there was soone else in the office, just doing what needed to be done.

Jiang Xiaolin thought she looked quite good wearing glasses. She was nearsighted but didn’t like to wear glasses usually, sotis squinting at people.

His gaze, not knowing when, had shifted from the contract to her, and then didn’t move away.

Her habits were the sa as when she was studying; she liked to twirl her pen: “I’ve already looked over the performance sche you made; my suggestion is to also include the utilization rate of raw materials in the assessnt.”

“We should do a trial calculation for a few months to see if there’s a significant difference from the original plan.”

“Okay, schedule a eting, and we’ll discuss it then.”

She hung up the phone, going back to replying to emails, while the office was filled with just the sound of keyboard taps.

Jiang Xiaolin’s gaze shifted from her face down to her legs – the A-line skirt, black stockings, and high heels, unlike her at eighteen.

“Knock, knock, knock,” soone knocked from outside.

Tang Xiang said, “Co in.”

The man who entered was dressed in a suit and shoes, very formally, with his hair combed back ticulously.

He must be a middle-level manager, sowhat self-important, Jiang Xiaolin silently appraised.

“The financial analysis has been sent to your email, this one is the supplier’s evaluation report.” The man did not place the materials on the desk but handed them over with one hand.

Tang Xiang received them: “I’ll give you a response after I take a look.”

“Alright.”

With the business talk concluded, the man’s deanor relaxed slightly, not bothering to notice that there was soone else in the room: “Tang Xiang.”

He called her by na, not Mr. Tang.

Jiang Xiaolin clenched his jaw.

Tang Xiang raised her head: “Yes?”

“Do you have ti after work?” The man invited her, a gallant smile on his face, “President Zhen from Fengxing gave two tickets to a concert.”

Tang Xiang was about to decline—

“Tang Xiang,” Jiang Xiaolin’s tone held a bit of displeasure, “What’s this data about?”

The man gestured he would call, and stepped out first.

Tang Xiang approached: “Which data?”

Jiang Xiaolin asked an unrelated question: “How old is that guy just now?”
