Chapter 173: Trapped

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

The hatred between Jiang Chen and the Third Prince could be traced back to the day he fought with Li Qin, so it was widely known.

Jiang Chen had threatened he would kill the Third Prince without hesitation once he got the chance.

According to the Third Prince’s character, this threat was enough for him to exterminate Jiang Chen’s entire family.

What had happened just then was a surprise in that the Third Prince had shown up there, but what he had done was quite within expectations.

So people were gloating, while others felt worried for Jiang Chen.

The Third Prince’s arrows couldn’t reach Jiang Chen, but it was still dangerous because they were outside the portal.

Each dynasty’s portal was open for three consecutive days and nights. The Third Prince could just stay there until it closed.

According to his reputation, he would do sothing like that.

The disciples of the Natural Law School were the most anxious. Jiang Chen had brought them into this. The portal was there, but they couldn’t go through it.

Yet no one dared reason with the Third Prince or claim innocence.

If they opened their mouths and offended him, he could kill them with his arrow and they would have no chance to right their wrong.

“What? Aren’t you gonna kill ? Now no one is protecting . Why don’t you co down from there?” the Third Prince provoked.

He was ranked among the top ten of the Eternal Fla List, so he didn’t need any bodyguard in the Realm of Beasts; Jiang Chen wasn’t a match for him either.

“It’s the first ti I’ve seen soone so eager to die. Take it easy. I won’t keep you waiting for too long,” Jiang Chen said.

“Ha, looks like you have no idea of the consequences if you don’t go through the portal in ti.”

The Third Prince burst into laughter. He pointed at a disciple of the Natural Law School standing nearby and said, “You tell him. If you tell him well, I’ll allow you to go.”

That disciple was pleasantly surprised. He looked up and shouted at Jiang Chen imdiately, “If you don’t get into the portal, you’ll be trapped in the Realm of Beasts. Even the school wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.”

“Tell him whether he can leave the Realm of Beasts without a portal,” the Third Prince said, sounding like he wasn’t very satisfied.

The disciple was scared. He hurried to say, “We’re in the center area of the Realm of Beasts. It’s the deepest part, but it’s the safest, since each city is deployed with a tactical formation. Once the ti is up and the tactical formation is shut down, the Realm of Beasts will turn into hell. ntal Wander States won’t be able to survive here.”

“Not bad. Now, go!” the Third Prince said.

The disciple wasn’t offended. Instead, he went through the portal joyfully. The other disciples all felt jealous of his luck.

“Jiang Chen, did you hear that? The disciples of the Natural Law School will be trapped in the Realm of Beasts until they die, just like you!” The Third Prince grinned extrely arrogantly.

“You have to do what you’ve said. Otherwise, I’ll look down on you,” Jiang Chen said.

“What?” The Third Prince was dumbstruck. The other disciples of the Natural Law School hadn’t expected that response either.

“If you’re able, trap these disciples in the Realm of Beasts until their deaths,” Jiang Chen said coldly.

The disciples in the square were shocked. They started to swear. The Third Prince could surely do that.

“These people are stupid.”

There were so smart people among the onlookers. They knew Jiang Chen was just trying to irritate the Third Prince, but the disciples of the Natural Law School weren’t so grateful.

If the Third Prince killed so many disciples of the school, he would lose more than the arm of a Reaching Heaven State.

Following what Jiang Chen had said, he would probably let these disciples go, but no one could predict the Third Prince’s actions. He could also ignore the possible consequences.

The Third Prince was rolling his eyes. The disciples of the Natural Law School were so nervous that they didn’t even dare breathe too hard.

“Third Prince.”

At this mont, Mu Zhenchuan ca up to him and said, “Jiang Chen is an evil guy. To defa you, he even wants his sibling disciples to die along with him. Don’t take the bait.”

“Yeah, that’s right, Third Prince. Jiang Chen is very cruel.”

“We don’t want an apprentice brother like this.”

The other disciples of the school echoed this when they saw soone co forward.

Mu Zhenchuan had only tried to give the Third Prince an out, but the credit still belonged to Jiang Chen. These disciples of the Natural Law School had no idea at all which one they should pay gratitude to.

The Third Prince was pleased. He nodded and said, “You’re right. I won’t give him what he wants. You, curse Jiang Chen as much as possible. I’ll let you go through the portal if I find it satisfactory. But if your curse sounds too perfunctory, don’t bla for the possible consequences.”

Cursing?

Only the Third Prince would force soone to do ugly things like that, but he was the most powerful person among those present... What could they do?

Ten-odd disciples of the Natural Law School pointed at Jiang Chen and cursed all of his ancestors with the greatest effort they’d ever made.

It sounded very harsh.

If Jiang Chen had brought any honor to the Natural Law School in these days, this honor was at the mont being destroyed by these ten-odd people, but everyone feared the Third Prince. Anyone in their position would curse him as well, so no one scorned them.

Jiang Chen stayed in the air. He looked at the sibling disciples who were cursing him and morized each of their faces, then he flew away silently.

“Ha, I feel good! Now, leave!” The Third Prince was very happy.

The disciples of the Natural Law School were afraid the Third Prince would change his mind, so they darted into the portal right away.

Mu Zhenchuan wasn’t in a hurry. He said, “Third Prince, are you going to stay here?”

“Sure. If he has the nerve to co back, I’ll kill him with my arrow. If he doesn’t, I’ll stay here until the portal is closed,” the Third Prince said.

Everyone knew the Third Prince did this not because he was afraid Jiang Chen would kill him when he was powerful enough, but because it was his personality.

“What? Are you going to put in a good word for him?!” The Third Prince glanced at Mu Zhenchuan and raised his eyebrows.

“Of course not! I just want to stay here to lend you a hand. He abolished ten of my holy points. I hate his guts!” Mu Zhenchuan said.

“I see. Stay here then!”

Ti passed and dusk ca soon. Many people wanted to stay there to see how things went. Those who had to leave because the portal would be closed soon were reluctant to go.

With fifteen minutes left, Mu Zhenchuan stood up and said sothing to the Third Prince, then went through the portal to go back to the school.

Jiang Chen soon appeared in the air again.

“What? Did you think I wouldn’t be back?”

The Third Prince cheered up when he saw Jiang Chen coming back after waiting such a long ti.

“No. I’ve co to say sothing to you, as a gift.”

“Oh?”

“People are allowed to kill in the competition held by the Sacred Institute, and that’ll be your ti of death,” Jiang Chen said.

“Yeah? It’ll only be possible if you’re able to leave here,” the Third Prince smiled.

Suddenly the portal behind him started to shrink. The Third Prince shrieked, “Look, your portal is shrinking. What are you gonna do?”

As he spoke, he put a darksteel arrow onto his bow to prevent Jiang Chen from going through the portal, but Jiang Chen stayed in the air until the end.

The portal beca as small as a fist and then disappeared completely. Everyone was looking at Jiang Chen with pity.

“Looks like soone is dood.”

The Third Prince shot the arrow casually. It didn’t matter to him whether it hit anything. Then, he swaggered to his own portal and left.

The obstruction of the Third Prince was gone, but so was the portal.

Jiang Chen was trapped in the Realm of Beasts!
