’Shit! Why can’t Anabella look annoyed or flash a cruel smile? That way, I will have a case to make against her. Why does she have to look as if she does not care at all?’
The more Sharon looked at Anabella, the more she wanted to tear her hair out and scream.
She had never seen anyone so carefree before, and it irritated her. All her plans went down because Anabella refused to cooperate with her.
Her bad mood was noticed not only by the guards and passersby, but Jas also noticed how his ’mother’ felt annoyed, and she kept throwing up things along the way.
"Mother, is everything alright? You look troubled. Do you want to tell anything?"
Jas offered to lend her mother an ear, but Sharon decided to be a nice mother this ti and shook her head with a smile.
"No, it’s fine. You don’t have to worry about , Jas. I feel under the weather, but I will be fine."
Sharon assured the young girl before reminding her of how Daniel’s mother was trying to alienate her from her family.
It made her want to teach the older female a lesson, and she looked at Jas with a conflicted expression.
She knew it was wrong for her to use Jas for sothing like this, but she could not help it.
Jas was the best way for her to get her revenge.
"There is one thing that has been bugging since Anabella bought it. Why does your grandmother not want at her birthday party? Does she hate this much?"
Her words had a great impact on Jas, and she could tell that the kid felt conflicted as soon as he heard what Sharon had to say.
Jas loved his grandmother and respected her. But he also loved Sharon, and that tipped him to think in her favor.
"Grandmother likes you, so I don’t think that’s why she asked you not to be at the party. A-And she does not want Anabella to be there either, so that can’t be the reason..."
Jas tried to reason with Sharon, but the female cursed in her mind when she heard what the kid had to say.
She had forgotten about Anabella’s not being invited but took a deep breath and tried again.
"Well, maybe your grandmother is just wearing a mask to show that she likes us, but she does not. Ah, it breaks my heart not to be able to co with you to the party this ti. I was so excited for it as well."
Sharon made a sad face, which made Jas feel sorry for her.
For the first ti, he felt his grandmother might be in the wrong this ti. She should have allowed his mother to co to her party if she had invited Jas and his father.
Even Anabella deserved to attend and enjoy the party without being called out.
’I will talk with grandmother later. I am sure that this is a misunderstanding we can resolve by talking with each other. There is no need for us to be angry at each other.’
Jas bit his lip to muffle what he had been about to say. He did not want to make his mother sadder than she was by making her hear what he had to tell her.
He reached his school in ti before snacking around and finding the phone for ergency contact.
Jas found out his grandmother’s number and decided to call her.
The old lady picked up the call, and Jas did not know how lucky he was to connect to the older lady.
"Hello! Grandmother! It’s , Jas. I need to ask you for a favor regarding your birthday party. Can you invite Mother and Anabella to it as well? Not being invited to the birthday party made Mother sad, and I don’t like to see her sad."
Jas spoke as soon as the call connected. He did not want to waste ti if the call got disconnected.
His words made his grandmother feel conflicted.
The older alpha loved her grandson, but she did not want to argue about this. She had a plan for her party, and she did not want unwanted attention.
"Jas, sweety, grandmother is doing this for your mother and Anabella’s sake. If they co, people will make fun of them and make them uncomfortable. I didn’t want them to face this, so I asked them to stay ho.
Please, don’t take this the wrong way. Grandmother knows what she is doing, sweaty."
The older female spoke on the phone but felt conflicted when she did not make her grandson call her like this.
Where was he even calling from? This was not a number she was familiar with in the first place.
"Grandmother did this for Mother’s sake? Does that an your mother has a misunderstanding about you? That’s good! I will tell Mother that she is wrong. Thanks for your ti, grandmother. I should go now. I need to get to class."
The older alpha looked down at her phone, which had just been cut. She could not believe that she had gotten such a call from her grandson. It was not what she expected to receive today.
But her complicated mood soon turned sour and annoyed as she rembered what the kid said.
’That bitch! How dare she manipulate my grandson to question like this? Tsk, I knew she was not suited for my son, and she is proving my point. I need to do sothing before she causes irreparable damage to my son."
The older alpha had hoped that her son would see the light once he was married, but she had been proven wrong by her son and his cunning partner.
But this was not the end yet. The older woman had a few tricks up her sleeve to ensure that her son did not destroy his life. She would protect her son and his future as long as she was there.

I’m gonna try a new editor and writing style for a few Chapters to see if this would suit or not. If you notice it changing, it’s because of my editor change.
