Anabella was back to her usual mood by the ti lunch rolled around.

Daniel decided to join them during lunchti for the first ti in two days, but Anabella did not know about it. Due to her heat, she had been out of the house for the past three days.

She went to the dining table but felt awkward when she saw Sharon occupying her usual seat.

Due to the lingering effect of her heat, that small gesture irritated Anabella, and she let out a frustrated sigh. It had been unintentional, but it happened anyway, causing everyone to turn toward her.

"I think it would be best to return my food to my room..."

Anabella spoke to break the awkward atmosphere that had fallen around her. She wanted to leave and return to her cozy room when Sharon’s embarrassed cough stopped her.

There was a problem, but Sharon hesitated to speak up, which irritated Anabella.

"A-Anabella, I would like to say that what happened was not intentional. I made a mistake. Please forgive , and don’t get angry at ."

Sharon started by apologizing first and not telling her the reason behind it.

For so reason, it made Anabella feel like all her energy had been zapped out of her body, and she felt incredibly tired because of what had happened.

"I see. But why are you apologizing for? I would like to know what I am forgiving you for before I forgive you."

Anabella asked, but Daniel lost his temper before she even got an answer to her question.

"Can’t you just forgive Sharon when she is giving you an apology? Do you have to be so rude to her? Can’t you tell how much she struggles to speak up because she knew you would get angry?"

Daniel asked, and he was the one getting angry at the mont.

Anabella did not speak up, but her judging silence was enough for Sharon’s face to turn even redder before she spoke.

"I...did not an to exclude you, but I accidentally made less food than I was supposed to. I forgot you ca back today, and nothing is left..."

Sharon’s embarrassnt made sense now. But it was not sothing that unexpected.

Anabella’s only question was whether this was intentional, but she did not want to ask that question and have it answered.

"I see. Then, I will call for takeout. I am not in the mood to cook today."

Sharon was puzzled by Anabella’s calm reaction. She expected to be yelled at or, at least, called out for her negligence.

Then, she could have used that opportunity to get closer to Daniel and push Anabella out of the way. But now her plan had been ruined because Anabella was not playing along with her.

"A-Are you sure you are not angry at ? I am telling you that I did not neglect you on purpose. You don’t have to hide your anger at ..."

Sharon made a sorrowful face as she spoke, but she cursed inside her mind as she tried to form another plan.

Anabella was air-headed, but she was not a fool. She could tell that Sharon was intentionally trying to egg her to get a response out of her.

*Sigh*

"Sharon, I don’t have the energy to be mad at you right now, even if I want to. My heat took a lot out of , and all I wanted to do right now was eat. So, if you will not assist , leave alone."

Anabella’s voice remained calm and devoid of any emotion. It had nothing Sharon could use against her except indifference.

Before Sharon could make another scene, Anabella changed the topic and asked another question.

"So, would any of you like to have anything from outside? I can order sothing for you as well."

Anabella asked so casually that Sharon and Daniel felt their faces go red and white out of sha.

On the other hand, Jas took this opportunity to ask for food outside.

As much as he liked Sharon’s cooking, he wanted more flavorful and fulfilling als. His mother was too health-conscious to satisfy him.

"Can you get so as well? I will take anything spicy."

Jas earned himself a subtle glare from his mother for his actions. Sharon considered it an insult for her son to beg Anabella for food when he had a perfectly cooked al in front of him.

But her subtle glaring had no effect because Jas did not notice it.

He might be a sharp kid, but Jas was not well-versed in the social cues his mother was utilizing. Anabella was, but this was not a matter for her to interfere in.

"Sure, I will order you so as well. I will call you once the food arrives."

Anabella quickly placed her order and opened the fridge to get so fruits from inside.

The fridge looked empty enough to show no one had gone shopping, so she knew she needed to get to it soon.

’But I also don’t want to waste ti and effort to get things for these people. I guess it is ti for to clean up my pantry and kitchen on my side of the house and use it. I do feel sorry for Jas, but it would be much more beneficial for to do that.’

Anabella made up her mind.

Once she had lunch, she would call for so people to fix her kitchen and deep-clean that area. Who knew what else was growing there since it had not been used?

Luckily for her, Sharon’s sudden bad mood caused Daniel to take her out, which gave Anabella enough ti to carry out her plan and call for a repair shop to co and help her out.

The company people arrived within hours and took asurents before getting to work. This kitchen would be ready and functional by the end of the day, and she felt excited to use it as much as she wanted to.
