Anabella’s face had turned white as she dragged her husband behind her. Her heart thundered in her chest as she tried to calm it down.

But no matter how much she tried settling down, her instincts kept telling her she was in danger.

Much of this involved Daniel glaring daggers into her back and ensuring Anabella felt his curiosity.

"So, you are not as innocent as you look. You act like you have no experience with alphas, but there is no way that is true, especially if you know alphas like those two. Just how experienced are you? Should I try out myself and find out?"

Daniel sounded pissed as he kept his hand on his side.

Anabella could read irritation in his eyes and other emotions she did not want to na. It made her shiver, and she quickly turned her head away and pretended she had not heard a word.

She was good at pretending to ignore things like this, but her husband seed to have a problem.

"Stop ignoring . Do I look like a fool to you? If you already had an alpha, you should have told about it.

That way, I won’t look like a fool accompanying you. Does this seem funny to you? In what way?"

Daniel asked as he grabbed Anabella and slamd her against the wall of the parking lot. The impact hurt, and it made Anabella’s back throb.

’First my neck and face, then my arms, and back as well? Will this man let any part of my body unhard? I don’t even want to know about it.’

Anabella bit her lip as she suppressed the pain she felt in her back.

She had a feeling that she might complicate things if she said anything to the annoyed alpha looming over her.

"I don’t know what delusions you are cooking in your mind, but I have never dated anyone before. I know those two alphas as friends. Besides, even if those alphas were not my friends and sothing more, what about it?

It’s not like you expect to be devoted to you. We both have our own lives to live."

Anabella tried to be as calm as she spoke.

She watched as understanding and guilt crossed Daniel’s face before he locked it all behind his eyes, and he coughed to make himself feel less awkward.

"You are right. I do not care who you associate with or what you do as long as it does not hurt the family. However, I will ask you to be a little more careful with how you spend your ti and what scents you carry.

Your scarf, for example, reeks of an alpha scent that is not my own. Thankfully, people did not notice this because we were so close. But in a normal setting, you would be caught outright."

Daniel spoke in a way that indicated he was unhappy, but he seed not to want to discuss this topic anymore.

Anabella also decided to keep quiet, but she looked down at her scarf with an interested look before she took another sniff.

’Hmm, I cannot sll anything, so I am unsure how much I should trust this alpha. But what I do know is that he is not one to lie to about this. Then, did Clair give this scarf knowing it was drenched in her pheromones?’

There was a lot to unpack there, but it was also possible that Anabella was making a big deal out of nothing.

She wanted to ask more questions but had no idea what to say in this situation.

Things had also turned awkward for Daniel, who quietly drove back ho before going to his side of the house as soon as he arrived ho.

Anabella noticed how dirty the house had gotten, and the dishes had not been done. The place was becoming uninhabitable at this rate (an exaggeration at this point)

"We need another caretaker to clean this place up. And this ti, we need one to do their work and not make excuses."

Anabella sighed before calling the cleaning company to ask for a cleaning lady.

She wanted a little older beta who knew how to handle things professionally.

Their house situation was ssy, which Anabella did not want to advertise. So, the best option for her was soone who could keep her mouth shut.

The company understood her demand (although for all the wrong reasons). They likely thought Anabella had secret illegal money or substances that she needed the cleaner to keep quiet about.

So, the company quickly finalized her dealings and sent her soone to clean this place up.

The hold arrived within half an hour before she got to work. Anabella watched the clearing lady work for about half an hour before heading out and getting so commissaries for dinner.

Sharon had not even taken care of that issue, and at this rate, they would soon not have anything to eat.

Daniel could go out all he wanted with his family to eat, but Anabella would still prefer ho-cooked als for the most part. And to make that, she needed ingredients.

She had not expected things to go wrong on her fifteen-minute trip.

But she underestimated how bad things could get and how quickly she arrived, only to hear yelling in the distance.

The speaker sounded like Sharon, and she did not sound happy. That made Anabella hurry up and enter her ho.

She looked at the scene in front of her in shock. Sharon had the new caretaker up by her hair, and the oga looked hysteric and distressed to see soone else in her territory.

’Oh no! At this rate, an incident might happen that we won’t be able to control. I need to calm down Sharon as soon as possible. But what can I even do about it?’

And then, the situation got worse when Daniel and Jas walked into the room.

Now, this was a disaster waiting to happen.
