"Sorry, we are late. I decided to get a coffee on the way and then ran into Noah. Did you have to wait long for us, Clair?"

Anabella asked as soon as she reached Clair through the crowd in the arcade.

The alpha was standing in a corner, looking lonely and cool. Many ogas and betas had their eyes on her, but no one dared to approach her.

Many people gave Anabella a stinky eye as soon as they noticed that she knew this alpha and was close enough even to call her na.

"Huh? It’s fine! It has not been that long since I arrived, as well. I mostly spent my ti looking around this place, and I only waited five minutes myself.

Now, what would you like to do first? Do you want to refresh your mind with a few gas we used to play for fun?"

Clair asked as she pointed toward a seemingly abandoned machine. It was a double-sided two-vs-two ga that Clair used to like to play.

It used to be fun and looking at the machine made mories flash across Anabella’s mind before put it out of her mind and let out a small smile.

"Of course! I also rember that I used to beat you all the ti when we played together. I doubt you have gotten any better in the year we have not seen each other. Shall we test it out?"

Anabella asked in a teasing voice and got a confident nod back.

The trio sat down to duke it out, but a problem occurred as soon as they did this - they needed a fourth player.

Usually, they had plenty of friends who played at the sa ti the trio did and they grabbed soone from them to act as their fourth.

But after a year of not being around much, the familiar faces that used to be here almost every day were gone and asking a stranger to help them out was not sothing that anyone wanted to do.

Just when the trio decided to give up, an oga walked over to them with a shy look on her face.

"E-Excuse , but do you need a fourth person to play with you? I can be that person for you. I am not good at this ga, but I have played it before. I won’t disappoint you."

The oga promised and Noah’s face turned into a frown.

Anabella looked at the oga as well, and she noticed how the oga was sparing glances Clair’s way in a shy manner.

’Well, this makes things clear. I guess I know which one of us that oga is gunning for.’

Seeing the love-struck look on the oga’s face made Anabella feel pity for her.

Anabella was not in a state to pity anyone else, but she still felt empathy for the oga who ca here with hopes and dreams of being able to talk to her crush.

"I am sorry, but we do not want to play with an unfamiliar person. And before you ask, I am already in a relationship, so I would like to decline your advances."

Clair made it clear that she was not interested. Her cold words and clear refusal made the oga she was rejecting frown with a sad look on her face.

"O-Oh, is that so? I had no idea...I an, I did not co here with that intent. I just wanted to play with you all..."

The poor oga was young. From what Anabella could tell, she looked to be around 16 years old and quite shy.

Seeing the oga acting like this made Anabella’s heart feel soft, and she decided to help that oga out this ti.

"Hey, would you like to be my partner for this ga? Clair, I know you said that you don’t want to play with a stranger, but we do need a fourth one to play. You and Noah can be a team, while I can team up with her.

That should even those teams out, right?"

Anabella asked, trying to lower the awkwardness of the situation.

Before Clair could open her mouth to say anything rude again, Noah decided to interfere and place a hand on the female alpha’s mouth.

"Yeah sure, go ahead if you want to. Clair, give so space or I will sit on your lap. Do you want to broadcast our relationship that way? I won’t mind."

Noah asked in a teasing voice and whatever Clair had to say got stuck in her throat.

"Fine! Stop teasing like this. You are a freak in bed and now you are being freaky outside them as well. Why did I decide to date you in the first place?"

Clair asked and that was a question that Anabella wanted to ask as well.

As far as she rembered, the pair had done nothing but argue with each other. But maybe that was why they ended up liking each other once she was no longer in the picture.

"W-Wait a minute! S-So you both are...I thought...are you both alphas?"

The unknown oga asked with a flushed face. Her eyes looked wide and she trembled looking at the pair in front of her.

"Yup! We both are alphas and in a happy relationship! Do you have anything against us being together? Do you discriminate against alphas being in a relationship with other alphas?"

Noah asked in a teasing voice, but there was no missing the heat behind his words. He was ready to throw hands if the oga insulted him or his partner.

His question made the unknown oga flush and she was quick to deny all the accusations.

"No! Of course that is not the case! How can I ever-! A-Anyway, weren’t we going to play this ga? Can you give so space?"

Anabella felt a little envious of how confident this oga was and how quickly she changed the topic to one that she wanted. It was a skill Anabella wanted as well.

The oga quickly sat down before she looked at Anabella and then at the alpha pair in front of her.

"Hey, aren’t you all-"

"No! We are not in a relationship. I am married and my husband is not here today."
