"Y-You! What are you doing here? Are you stalking Anabella or sothing? I do not want you in my house."

Jas’s instincts rejected this female with everything they had. He wanted this female as far away from himself and Anabella.

The female alpha gave Jas a blank expression that said she could not care less before gesturing for one of the betas to catch him and remove him from sight.

"Hey, let go! I will file a complaint against you-"

Jas struggled, and this made him lose his rationality as well. He tried to get out of the way, but it was a little too late for that.

Clair picked up Anabella’s unconscious body, and her expression looked grave.

"The patient is sick enough to be admitted. We will be considering this an ergency. Hurry up and get the car ready. Hey kid, can you call soone to look after my house?"

The doctor asked, but Jas was too angry to answer her. So, Clair quickly left the room with Anabella, and Jas finally felt a bit of his rationality returning.

"What the heck-! Who does she think she is-!"

Jas was still seething, but now that he was settling down, the beta asked him the sa question.

The young alpha hesitated before answering the nice beta who had always put up with him.

"Our caretaker can co to look after the house. I will make a call now."

This ti, Jas called the caretaker on the ho phone, and the elder quickly picked up the phone.

He called for her, and the caretaker quickly returned to the house. She looked panicked, but as soon as she saw that Jas was unhard, she warped her arms around him and hugged him.

"You scared , young master! I thought sothing was wrong and that was why you called. But if it’s just because you are lonely..."

*cough*

"Excuse , but we wanted to ask if you can look after this house while we care for our patient. Miss Anabella is in a terrible condition, and we need to look after her if we want to save her life.

I will head out now. Please ask her alpha to co and talk with the doctor. Our head doctor said that she needed to have a serious talk with the patient’s spouse."

The dic spoke professionally, leaving no room for the caretaker to interfere with his speech.

And as much as the caretaker wanted to deny this bond and tell the dic that the lady they had was not Daniel’s wife, she could not legally do that.

"Of course! I will inform the master about this. Young master Jas, please co to . We should get you to bed-"

"No! I want to go and stay with Anabella in the hospital today. I need to make sure she is fine, or else-"

Jas shuddered at the thought of what could have happened. He felt a little hopeless and a lot more frustrated than he expected. But at the sa ti, he was determined to ensure Anabella was alright and nothing happened to her.

His instinct as an alpha demanded this from him, and Jas felt obligated to comply.

"Young master, this is a little-"

The caretaker looked taken aback by this decision, and she had a startled face. She did not want her young master to go down this path if she could help.

But simultaneously, she knew she could not stop him if Jas wanted to do this.

"Don’t worry, Nanny! I am not making an impulsive decision here. I have considered what I want to do and then decided. You should look after the house and tell father what happened.

He will take care of the bill and such."

Jas assured the nanny before he left with the dic.

Billing the hospital bill was the least of the caretaker’s problems. She was more concerned that she had lied to the secretary before and not reported Anabela’s condition even when it was this bad.

She had nothing to say about this except that she had ssed up this ti and would likely pay for it.

’Master won’t be happy, but I can make it up to him later. I should call him and tell him what happened before he finds out from sowhere else.’

The caretaker decided to do that, but when she opened her phone, she first saw ssages and ssages.

Many were from her friends, but the ones that chilled her were from Daniel’s mother.

The older lady wanted to know why their household was on the news, why Anabella had fainted, and why no one had taken care of this discreetly.

It was a huge bomb that had dropped on top of Anabella’s head, and she could not think about anything else but how to take care of it.

’This is bad! What do I do now? No one would believe , even if I told them this was all a mistake.’

The caretaker was not worried about being fired, but she was concerned about losing her boss’s trust. Losing all of it would be a huge disaster, and she did not even want to consider it.

’Well, I need to face the music soti. I should pick up this call.’

The caretaker took the call, and she tried to smile, but her voice sounded low and hesitant.

"Hello, madam! What a coincidence! I was just about to call you-"

"You better have a decent explanation for this, or your life is about to beco more difficult than it needs to be. Now, do you have anything to say for yourself?"

The old lady asked on the other end, and the caretaker felt herself sweating. She had nothing to say, and her voice refused to speak even when she knew she needed to.

"So, what happened was-"

The caretaker spun her story, making herself out to be the victim and framing this all as Anabella’s sche. She was good at it, but for the first ti, the caretaker knew her mother would not fully believe her.
