Chapter 879: Chapter 603 The Frozen Far East Magic School_2

Lind released flas to roast Selena while tapping his leg covered in frost. Like peeling an egg, he easily cracked off a large chunk.

“They might have connected to the Cold Ice Elental Plane,” Selena said after thawing. “That place has no life whatsoever.”

The endless frost must have a source.

“At least we’ve gained a lot,” Lind’s cloak lightly swayed behind him.

A large number of Magic Ring Shards scattered, resembling stars plucked from the sky, each shard, varying in size, shimred with enchanting brilliance.

Lind had no desire to evaluate the mad wizards from the crazy Far East Magic School.

Along the way, he saw many corpses. According to Selena, so of them were Legendary Mages from the school.

“They’ve actually died like this.” She sighed.

“If they hadn’t died, this world might have already turned into a world of frost.”

Lind suddenly stopped in his tracks.

He turned his gaze towards a corpse encased in ice. The person was bound on an “X” shaped fra, hands and feet tied.

They wore red armor.

He had happened upon similar red armored soldiers in another place.

In the Chamber of Jaws in the Cursed Land, under the Third Tower Stone Pillar, there were many red armored soldiers patrolling, almost identical to the one encased in ice before him.

“I need so information,” Lind said.

“It must be a very ancient corpse.”

Selena floated towards the bookshelf. The ice-covered shelves held many docunts that needed to be thawed, hoping the parchnt would stay sowhat intact and not cause any issues during the thawing process.

Fortunately, Lind was there. When it ca to controlling flas, no one could surpass him.

With flas roasting, the hard ice slowly lted away. Without the continued output from the Cold Ice Elental Plane, the ice could lt.

“The once royal family of the Eastern Continent, the Red Furnace Royal Family,” Selena said. “They worship the Grim Reaper Za Za and revere giant skeletal giants.”

There wasn’t much recorded in the docunts.

There had been too many royal families in history. Not all were worth docunting. Most left only their surna, with only a few having detailed records.

“Did any bloodline remain?”

“Let see.” She carefully flipped through the pages. “Yes, supposedly it’s the Red Furnace Castle, but it has no research value…”

Her voice suddenly softened, realizing she just ntioned “research.”

“Why?”

“Because the bloodline is very thin.”

“It seems our Sir Soc Red Furnace also has his own origin story.”

Selena didn’t respond. When she didn’t understand, it was best to let the other person talk to themselves.

Taking the ghost to explore the ice-enshrouded Magic School and then leaving with her.

Miss Ghost had let go of many things. Perhaps she should be thankful to have escaped the mad school.

Lind, on the other hand, imdiately entered a new phase of busyness.

The next period marked a phase of rapid developnt.

The undead, skilled in trickery and ambush, continued their chaotic operations as usual, swallowing everything around them like waves, regardless of humans or enemies.

Within a month, Soc Red Furnace, the Lord of Red Furnace Castle, severed Anina Gang’s head, establishing a new ruling regi through bloody slaughter.

Within two months, migration began.

Within three months, hunting comnced in the giant beast restricted area, along with explorations of remote areas, underground tombs, and ruins.

Hailstones “thumped” into the water surface.

Mina was startled. The whistle made of tree bark nearly slipped from her lips. She looked over, confirming it was just hailstones.

“Coo-coo,” a signal mimicking a bird call sounded.

It was ti to regroup.

She exhaled, quickly slung the short bow over her back, and climbed down the tree, using hands and feet.

eting at the rendezvous point with the blond kid.

He was four years younger than her, agile as a monkey. They relied on each other for survival; she was the older sister.

Anyone without family had to stick together to live well in the small gathering place.

Family was indispensable.

Once chosen as family, they never abandoned each other again.

But Mina’s kindness was too heavy, taking on much, with many people around her.

She used to be the youngest in the family, and now she was the oldest, despite still being in her teens.

“Mina, we need to move again.”

“Again?” Mina frowned. “We’ve only been here for less than half a month, and the environnt here is good.”

Despite the lake occasionally having bizarre fish-headed human-bodied creatures and so grotesque, twisted monsters, they could easily find food.

“I heard it’s because of Red Furnace Castle.” The blond kid Mayer said softly. “They’re searching for people willing to relocate. Maybe we could try.”

“But I heard they’re seeking strong people, luring them only to turn them into corpses,” Mina said worriedly, gesturing. “Their souls will never be free, their bodies becoming slaves forever.”

“But we can’t keep moving.” Mayer said with a pained expression. “Flayer is sick. He’s still at the age for crotchless pants. We need a Magic Potion, a dicine to cure him. We can’t get it here.”

He added, “Let try. Maybe I can get it.”

“No, I should go.”

“You stay here and earn food. In our family, only you have a job.”

“We go together.” Mina hesitated but finally said, “Bring Flayer along.”

If they couldn’t get the Magic Potion they wanted, Flayer might be buried sowhere. Better than in the gathering place because so starved madn always dug graves to find food like hyenas.

In the end, the three set out together. Mina carried the feverish Flayer while Mayer, being too small and weak, lacked the strength.

No one cared about their departure. This gathering was very free; anyone could co or go freely. Everyone banded together just to stay warm, as long as they followed the rules.

Soone watching their departing backs didn’t restrain their voice, “They must have heard those madn from Red Furnace Castle.”

“How could there be such a place, letting you eat your fill, it’s just to send you to your death.”

Even when starving, they didn’t mind saying malicious words.

The three little ones leaving didn’t travel far when a roar suddenly echoed from above.

No good, sothing happened.

Seeing the huge black bear ahead, Mayer’s legs went soft.

Only Mina reacted in ti, pulling Mayer along and shouting, “Run!”

They could choose freedom, but had to face countless dangers outside, with even a slight misstep leading to death halfway before even seeing the “madn” of Red Furnace Castle.

The huge black bear had four rows of teeth, with tusks extending upward from the lower jaw like a wild boar, its large head seemingly disproportionate, yet the large head gave it a harder skull and more terrifying charge power.

The distance between them closed in the blink of an eye.

“Whoosh,” the air buzzed with urgent arrow whistles. Mina, as an archer, could clearly discern the direction.

The arrow ca from behind them, undoubtedly from a highly talented archer, precisely hitting the huge black bear’s eye, severing its breath.

The massive body powerlessly collapsed, inertia sliding the massive beast forward like a toppled small mountain, darkly looming over their vision, almost crushing them.

Drip.

Blood dripped from the arrow’s fletching, splashing onto Mina’s forehead, startling her awake.

Such a terrifying beast, which required the combined effort of the gathering’s experts, was so effortlessly slain.

She stiffly turned her head and saw soone already erging.

The person wore elegant soft armor, holding a longbow adorned with intricate and colorful magic secret patterns.

“He’s from Red Furnace,” Mayer whispered. “Look at the golden emblem on his chest.”

A golden [!] emblem.

“We want to join Red Furnace Castle,” Mina said boldly to the smiling man, feeling anxious inside.

“Hahaha, that’s great, warmly welco!” the man said joyfully.

Mina and Mayer exchanged glances.
