671: Chapter 502 Role-playing Feature Test 1.0_2 671: Chapter 502 Role-playing Feature Test 1.0_2 “They actually believe in the Furnace Lord, but that makes sense; in this icy and snowy land, belief in Flas does seem warr.”

Next, without waiting for Lind to ask, the other party spills the beans, sharing all sorts of gossip, storytelling, and tabloid news they know, in one breath.

Like the legend of the Ice and Snow Queen resisting the Fla Demon.

In fact, the story of the Fla Demon and the old Wizard with the Two-handed Sword with White Beard is even more interesting.

Lind could care less about the locals scamming money from the Undead; anyone can shear a sheep, but the locals here have so peculiar tricks up their sleeves, no wonder there’s only one Undead spotted around here; the rest must’ve been scared off.

There sure are a lot of shrewd locals around, greedy by nature.

While browsing the forums, he notices there are a lot of Undead complaining about this place; many have been tricked, and there are even reviews saying this place is like tourist trap restaurants—they rip you off, and the food isn’t even good.

Without Lind’s oversight, the NPCs, of course, have been indulging themselves, conducting business and making money.

They make even more money by bamboozling fools, and they think if they don’t, soone else will – what a waste.

Lind still has that piece of junk stone, he was going to return it to the Undead since they paid big bucks for it, but to his surprise, the player had hastily logged off.

An idea suddenly dawns on him, a way to sell this “junk, trash” at a high price.

Using the Control Power of story crafting, he could weave a tale for the Undead, getting them involved in this world through “role-playing” rather than remain detached as Undead usually do.

Role-playing could constrain the Undead’s actions to so extent, and when it cos to conviction, no one is stronger than the Undead.

“Go further, and there will be so much more to sell.”

The more Lind thinks about it, the more he feels this business is worth pursuing.

By enabling role-playing features, the Undead could beco Princes, Princesses, Thieves, etc., and then naturally integrate into the world and play the ga.

These identities could be bought with money or awaited for limited-ti exchanges.

Even certain special professions and equipnt would require special status to obtain, which isn’t difficult; for instance, crafting a sword only usable by a “Prince” or making a pair of tiny invincible Armor only suitable for a “Princess.”

A bikini-wearing Princess is still a Princess, even a Princess working as a tavern maid is still a Princess.

Lind’s train of thought has exploded with ideas, and the more he thinks, the more possibilities he sees—maybe the Undead could even successfully disguise themselves as NPCs.

“There can be several templates designed.”

Potions lead to power, Deities use rules of sorts, and the rules allow him to establish ga chanics.

As an ordinary Newbie Village village chief, how could he not create rules?

“Let’s tentatively call it the Role-playing feature test version 1.0.

It’d be great if it could stay off the official radar and still be advertised on the official website.”

Greed ran through Lind’s thoughts as he pondered the feasibility.

The only reason he made it into the official update headlines is that he hitched a ride on the “Abyss.” Unless this feature becos an undeniable opposing force, it’s too difficult; take it one step at a ti.

“However, promotion is a must, the gaming experience must be genuine, and rewards must be heartfelt.”

Creating a fresh gaming experience is simple; although every Undead in the ga is playing as an “Undead,” everyone feels out of place in this world.

But if they could play a role that everyone subconsciously believes in, such as a Prince, that would be interesting.

For example, a Prince naturally cos with loyal old supporters, a white horse, or even a leading quest.

He pulls out his feather pen and rapidly writes down on paper.

“The Undead claiming ‘I am Thunder God Thor’ holding that peculiar stone, which turns out to be the identity proof of a Prince of the Holy Helman Kingdom…”

Lind grins, feeling mischievously entertained.

Whereas other Princes use various treasures as proof of identity, he uses that rubbish stone, and it’s precisely this that proves the terror of his power.

The content he writes next is full of mischief, and only when the Undead “accomplish” certain tasks can things continue.

Story crafting is exhausting, and even with references Lind is getting a headache; he’d rather be out chopping people down.

Both the strength of the Undead and the Holy Helman City pale in comparison to the Moonlight Kingdom; therefore, Lind writes fluidly, scribbling a simple story based on what the locals told him.

The Holy Helman City is ruled under the oppression of the Snow Peak Sect, and the Queen’s last child, carrying the “Mad Red-Eyed Stone,” a token that could prove his identity, escapes.

This Prince must embark on a journey to reclaim his throne, enduring trails…

until finally, he achieves triumph, welcoming cheers.

The Snow Peak Sect’s strong rule over the Holy Herman Kingdom is real, but those ruled over don’t seem to mind much, because the Sect’s Control Power over this icy and snowy land isn’t that strong.

He turns to the person in front of him and says, “When the Undead player returns, remind them not to forget to take this stone.”

The other party kept nodding, of course, they dared not refuse, and kept saying “yes” repeatedly.

After eating and drinking his fill, Lind turned and left.

He wanted to check out the Snow Peak Sect, since they worshipped the Furnace Lord, and their high priest was a Heroic Rank Knight.

The reward for this 1.0 role-playing feature test would co from him.

Shortly after.

Undead I am Thunder God Thor logged on.

“He didn’t take the stone with him?”

He picked up the stone.

No need for reminders, Undead never lose out.

Anything they’ve paid for won’t be discarded as long as it doesn’t affect the weight limit.

Just in case, what if there really was a hidden quest?

Right as he picked up the stone, a ssage popped into I am Thunder God Thor’s mind.

“I’m the Prince?

Damn!

Role-playing!”

He got excited.

“Hey hey hey, I’m the Prince!”

Very cocky.

I am Thunder God Thor took the stone and left, setting off on the journey back to Holy Helman City.

Riding the wolf, he hadn’t gone far when the Undead encountered their first “fortuitous eting” — a group of Winter Bandits clad in thick bear skin.

Their skin was icy blue like it was carved from solid ice, their figures wild and towering, with white bear skin wrapped around their broad shoulders and a grey tallic Battle Armor underneath.

Bearing the scars of years of warfare, each mark on the armor represented a brutal battle survived.

Ah, isn’t this a quest right here?

I am Thunder God Thor charged forth in excitent.

“Your Highness the Prince!” To his surprise, the band of thieves suddenly kneeled, “Finally, you have returned!”

“Holy crap!

Is the Prince’s identity this aweso?”

Since they recognized his prince identity right away, I am Thunder God Thor imdiately stopped, choosing not to continue the fight.

“Are you my n?”

“We once served the Queen, and now, of course, we continue to serve you.” The leader of the bandits spoke, his breath turning into a thick white mist that could cover his entire face, also obscuring his features.

Even if they showed their faces, it wouldn’t help, because they all wore beards long enough to shield their faces like bear fur masks, not even their own mothers would recognize them.

“I must return to Holy Helman!”

“This will be a very difficult journey, are you prepared to do the next thing?”

“What’s that?”

“Catching mice in the fields, we need food.”

I am Thunder God Thor: “…”

Damn, such a cheap quest, just like those gas where you pass ssages to NPCs, or where you relay ssages for idiots who are standing right nearby.

He was planning to take out his own inventory or use money to buy food in Holy Helman City unless that city had a warrant out for him.

After all, he wasn’t the Undead now but a fugitive Prince.

But when he reached into his pocket, he rembered he had spent all his money on that critical quest item.

Who’d dare say it wasn’t a critical quest item, he might be the first Undead in this world to role-play!

He had to join the thieves skilled in looting and plundering to catch mice.

The Snow Mice, fearless of the cold, had very long and thick fur, to catch them, the Undead had to stoop low.

So they caught mice for an entire afternoon to complete the task.

“We have a second thing to do, right?” He quickly answered back.

“That’s right, attacking Holy Helman City, smashing through the Snow Peak Sect.”

“Huh?

Are you guys okay?”
