186: Chapter 172: Do’s Flas 186: Chapter 172: Do’s Flas The speed of the castle invasion was far faster than imagined, and while Milan didn’t agree with the Undead’s twisted logic of “kill everyone who sees and that ans I’ve gone unnoticed,” she indeed saved a lot of energy at this pace.

With the dirty black walls, not yet fully smoothed of clay, whizzing past her as Milan ran forward, the view soon beca an endlessly stretching black tunnel, as if she had entered the body of a giant serpentine creature.

Not until a light the size of a palm appeared at the end of her vision.

The winding castle seed to finally reach its endpoint.

The path also suddenly widened.

The sll of blood wafted out from various rooms as she passed, followed by the sound of dense footsteps.

One, two, a dozen, tens, hundreds of figures with their heads covered by hoods sprang out from side doors as Milan sprinted forward, like tributaries rapidly joining the main stream.

Only the figures cloaked in white robes remained in sight, nothing but a blanket of white.

The sound of so many footsteps was soft, like a light rain that wasn’t too hasty, with only the pitter-patter of the noise falling on the floor tiles.

Her heart inside her chest began to beat uncontrollably.

Milan never thought that she would witness such a peculiar scene one day, with hundreds of Rune ssengers, carrying all sorts of weapons, charging recklessly into the enemy’s lair.

Her blood almost burst free from the confines of her veins, threatening to spew out through her pores.

The palm-sized white light in the distance grew larger and closer as she ran, until it finally beca a wide-open gate.

Nearer, nearer, and then charge through!

They surged out like fish leaping from a river, the air filled with the forms of hooded, white-robed Undead.

And at that mont, there were only two figures in the spacious castle hall.

An old man with a long beard, and a woman with an indifferent face holding a magic wand.

“Who are you?” The sudden onslaught of people prevented them from reacting imdiately.

“All is nothingness, all is permitted!” one of the Undead declared loudly.

Milan sighed.

She had spent quite a bit of ti with the Undead and knew their traits well, the main one being not to expect them to speak sensibly.

Boom!!

A violent explosion suddenly erupted from within the castle, effortlessly blasting a huge hole through the thick walls under the impact of the blast.

The ground also shook with the explosion.

Black smoke rolled out from the hole, spiraling up with the sea breeze, and eventually rged with the funnel-shaped dark clouds that had gathered overhead, completely obscuring the light of the sky.

All that remained before her was an oppressive black mass, as though a heavy, dark iron slab weighed down upon them, making it difficult to move their necks and breathe.

Lind and his two companions imdiately beca serious; the terrifying explosion they had just experienced was beyond the power of a High-ranking Wizard.

Heroes?

They didn’t delay for long.

Boom—!!

The second burst of light exploded, with a massive Fireball shooting from a great distance of at least several hundred ters away; the blast not only lifted the roof but also made the air scorching hot.

It was like a volcanic eruption.

Lind watched as the enormous Fireball soared upwards and then exploded at its highest point, turning into a shower of sparks.

In the flas, he could glimpse sothing resembling human limbs, but it was fleeting.

There was no need to co close; the hot wind slapped against their faces as if it were knives.

Mico imdiately ducked behind Lind; the flas had turned her face red, and even an Upper Rank Wizard couldn’t remain unaffected by flas as intense as a volcanic eruption.

Lance looked and looked again and finally decided to raise his Ice Bow.

No worries, he could handle it.

In the sky, the funnel-shaped cloud of dense black smoke that had condensed, upon touching the explosion’s scattering light, was instantly burned red, looking as if flas wrapped around the dark cloud, spiraling upwards.

Furthermore, the rooftops lifted by the explosion shattered into fine pebbles, each uniformly wrapped in flas, turning into drenching fire rain that pumled the ground.

The ground was raked by the fire rain, igniting erratic trails of fire snakes, leaving the soil completely scorched and blackened.

“My lord,” Lance’s lips were slightly dry, but when he turned his head to Lind, he found that not only was Lind unhard, he also seed to be in very good shape.

Flas were like a tonic that made Lind feel even more invigorated.

The focus returned to the castle hall.

Do and Morena looked at the invading Undead with great horror, never having imagined that the castle, fortified on all sides, could be infiltrated without a sound.

Did they truly notice nothing?

Where are they, the defenders?

“Milan?” Do looked at the familiar figure with a smile on his lined face: “Oh~ Miss Milan, I apologize for not noticing you imdiately.

Perhaps the friends you’ve brought with you are a bit too eye-catching.

Could you ask them to quieten down a bit?”

“Do, Lord Leon is dead,” said Milan.

Do’s expression subtly changed, but he quickly composed himself: “Everyone dies, especially great n like Lord Leon.”

“The person before you belongs to Star Dragon City, loyal to Lind Armand of the Old Nobility.”

The Undead were restless, already positioning themselves from every angle.

They wouldn’t move in the middle of the plot, but as soon as the battle began, they would leap at them, tearing the two apart like a pack of wolves.

“We can swear allegiance to no one,” Do noticed the movents of the Undead, who were not bothering to hide their intentions.

Hundreds of unrestrained murderous gazes were directed at him, but Do wasn’t just going to sit and wait for death.

Thus, he began to harness the power within the castle, gathering its forces.

No one was able to detect the subtle movents made by Do, power rapidly converging beneath his feet.

However, of all the witches present, other than Do, only Morena was there, and she was certainly not going to expose Do’s subtleties.

“Although Lord Lind is Old Nobility, he is not mad,” Milan continued trying to persuade him.

She instinctively felt Do’s difficulty and didn’t want to clash with him directly.

“Not mad?” Do was surprised.

If the Old Nobility were not mad, given their terrifying compatibility with the Ring of Magic, the world could be said to belong not to a new era but entirely to a new age of the Old Nobility.

It was as if people like Do and others called taking the power from the Ring of Magic through the Magic Potion as ‘stealing.’

But when the Old Nobility took the Magic Potion, it should be terd ‘activating’ or ‘receiving,’ or even simply ‘reclaiming’ the power of the Ring of Magic.

Their families and bloodlines were already engraved into the Ring of Magic; they were born to receive more.

But research had co this far, and Do could never just surrender when the group that had co bore such strong murderous intent; he had to trust himself.

“Attack!” One of the Undead grew tired of waiting for the script and took the initiative to attack.

Do lifted his palm, and flas burst from it almost instantaneously.

The riotous wave of fire that seized the entire field of vision completely covered the space to Do’s right.

So people’s clothes began to ignite simply from the high temperature of the air.

The flas blew open the walls and completely cleared out a large number of Undead on the right.

The steaming-hot right side of the castle was left completely cleansed.

Floor tiles, castle walls, decorations, and the hooded Undead, all vanished.

The Undead’s attack didn’t stop, so Do lifted his hand again towards the sky.

He didn’t chant, but the firelight surged once more.

A giant fireball comparable to a volcanic eruption ripped open the top of the castle, launching dozens of Undead, who were coming from above, into the air with the flas.

The Undead were wiped clean, leaving only two or three small cats.

The balance of power shifted from Do’s disadvantage to his absolute advantage.

Then, Do directed both his hands towards Milan.
