Leon made good progress on converting powerful beings into his summons, but it was not enough. He soon received word that the Army of Destruction had co within sight of Datar. The preemptive force would soon be leaving to deal with them.

Leon held his chin as he sat upon the throne in the central hall of his palace in the God Kingdom, deep in thought. He had been able to convert many strong Minor Gods and celestial creatures into his loyal summons while also boosting his own personal strength at a speed that was unheard of at this level. Already, he had touched upon the dividing line that separated a Major God from a Minor God, but even he could tell that he would never be able to make the change in ti. There was just too much to do that he could not do with the snap of a finger.

Even though his strength had grown so much, his comprehension of the various Laws that ford the foundation of his Domains had not grown as much, which severely undermined his power and prevented him from standing shoulder to shoulder with other Gods that had reached this level of strength while also comprehending their Laws.

"Before we leave, I should head down to Datar to handle so things." Leon put those thoughts aside first and decided on a few matters.

.

.

The stars were bright in the night sky, twinkling in the background. A pale white light illuminated the grounds of a hidden courtyard within the castle of the Cromwell Empire.

Under the illumination of the celestial bodies, Elena's petite fra was seated on the bare ground. Her chest rose and fell with a steady rhythm and the mana around her churned. The mana gathering runes that had been placed all over Fort White worked their charm in gathering the ambient mana and allowing for greater utilization of said mana, which in turn boosted how quickly those who absorbed it grew their power.

The mana within Elena's body suddenly spiked and went rampant! The mana boiled through her veins and caused her breathing to turn harsh and rough. This lasted for almost an hour before suddenly calming.

"Phew..." Elena sighed and opened her eyes, her sparkling blue eyes glimring in the light of the moon. "I finally did it! A rank!"

"Congratulations." A voice rang out behind her and Elena leapt up, dagger in hand, ready to attack, but firm hands too hold of her and pulled her close.

"Leon?!" Elena's eyes widened as a faint blush crept up her neck but was covered by her red hair. "I-I didn't know you were coming to visit." She said.

"Do I need to announce it every ti I co down to visit?" One of Leon's hands went down to Elena's waist while the other held her chin. He gave her s short peck before flashing a grin. "I ca here to see you."

"Oh? The mighty God of Undeath finally rembered the fair maiden he left behind?" Elena snorted and looked away.

"I'm sorry I've been away for so long. I couldn't help it, there was a lot to do up there. Part of that is why I ca here tonight." Leon said, an apologetic expression on his face. He could tell that Elena was not particularly happy with his prolonged absence.

Elena's interest was aroused. She knew that there was a whole other world up there, and Leon had told her a bit about it. But it seed she would not be getting to see it for herself anyti soon. Hearing news of the celestial realm sparked so excitent within her.

"What's going on up there for you to be so occupied?" She asked curiously.

Leon sighed and took her hand before teleporting them to a bench so distance away. They sat down and he swung an arm around her shoulders.

"A crappy army is coming our way. From what I've heard, they have destroyed many worlds already before setting their sights on Datar. When they get here, it will be all out war. I've been making plenty of preparations to grow and army up there and contribute to the fight. It is not easy and is very ti consuming." Leon sighed and explained as quickly and shortly as he could.

"..." Elena's face was blank with shock. Leon could pretty much read her mind and tell what she was thinking.

"Will you be okay?" She asked, looking up at Leon with a concerned expression.

"...To be honest, I don't know. That's why I ca down to Datar. To spend ti with you before it all starts." Leon smiled at her.

Elena remained silent but leaned her head on Leon's shoulder. The two of them remained there, enjoying each others' presence for as long as possible.

After so ti, Leon suddenly asked. "By the way, where is Mica?"

"Oh, Mica? He's with the dragons." Elena sat up. "He left so ti ago. There was nothing more he could learn, and I was still B rank, so he did not want to get hurt. I was supposed to et him when I reached A rank." She explained.

"Hmm." Leon humd and nodded. That was not what he had agreed with the Dragons but it was not much of a problem to him. "We will go there tomorrow. Right now, I just want so peace from all the hassle." Leon eventually said.

"I agree. We need so quality ti together before the world goes to shit." Elena chuckled before resting back against Leon's shoulder. She closed her eyes, savoring the mont. After all, it was not often that Leon found the ti to co to the mortal realm. Until she also reached that point, they would not cross paths too often, especially with the coming war.

The two of them sat under the bright glow of the moon, making the most of what ti they had together now. A lot of topics were spoken of, ranging from what Elena did in her spare ti, to what the Gods were truly like.
