Surprise blood in Leon's mind as he examined the status page of the cute little millipede queen in his hands. She might have been tiny, but she was not weak in any way. She was already stronger than him as she was, and she would only grow stronger as ti passed.
"Wow... You're strong." Leon's surprise tainted his words as they slipped out of his mouth. He had accidentally spoken his thoughts.
'Don't flatter , Master. My rebirth has left much weaker than I was when we initially t. I am only about a fifth of my strength at that ti, and about a twentieth of my strength at my pri.' The small millipede squird around.
Leon laughed. He could feel the little millipede queen's bashful nature as she spoke.
"Your status says you don't have a na. I thought your na was Mornica?" He eventually asked. He had noticed that the 'Na' section of her status had been empty.
'Ah, yes. Mornica was the na that my forr master gave when he created . Now that I am no longer bound by the terms that were set upon my birth, my entire existence is susceptible to change. So is my na, and as my new master, you have the authority to change it.' She explained.
"Oh..." Leon whispered. He hadn't thought of that, so he was caught unaware. He had no experience at naming things in his past life, so he didn't know how he was going to approach this issue.
'You can take your ti. I need ti myself to get used to my new body. By the ti I have a handle on my abilities, then we should be able to climb back up and handle my unruly children above.'
"Alright. I also need to get used to my new strength. I can also use that ti to think on a na for you." Leon nodded as they made their way away from the cavern with the Mana Crystal pillars. It took quite a while for them to make their way back to the area where the Obsidian Pool was located, but when they did, they had a good asure of their current standing.
Leon was obviously the master in the relationship that they shared with each other. He could command the newly born Undead Millipede Queen as he wished, but she could refuse certain commands if she absolutely detested doing such. She made sure to make that a part of the contract they had ford with each other, as she was the one who had woven the spiritual bonds that tied them together.
"Drop down here." The little queen told Leon as they arrived in the chamber that held the Obsidian Pool. "I will spend so ti getting used to my new body. You should do the sa, so that when we are ready, we will be able to climb out of here." She said before turning around and retreating to the corner where she had stayed before eting Leon.
Leon stood where he was for a few more seconds before shrugging and walking over to his discarded sword. He raised it up to examine it and noticed that the tip of the sword had gotten chipped. It was most likely the ti when he was falling and had tried to stall his montum by stabbing his sword into the walls of the pit.
"Crap. I'll switch it for another one when we go back up." He sighed before turning to face the wall. He swung the sword a few tis in a testing motion before spinning the sword in his hand. His wrist, as a skeleton type creature, was incredibly flexible. He was able to twist his wrist at angles that would have probably ant that his wrist was dislocated, if he was still a human.
Half an hour of practice later, Leon was pulled out of his monotonous motions by the small millipede queen bumping into his leg.
"Ah, are you ready?" He asked, turning to face the young queen.
'Yes. We should begin making our way upwards. The Royal Millipedes are our pri targets, as they are the main source of the younger millipedes. Taking them out will ensure that the millipedes do not regain their numbers before we can wipe them out.' She spoke as if the millipedes she was planning on wiping out were not her own children.
"Alright, but before we go, we need a na for you. I thought up sothing when I first started training." Leon said.
"Oh? A na? It would be an honor to receive a na from you this soon." She squird with happiness.
"Alright, it isn't anything too flashy or anything, but how does Nedra sound?" He asked.
As he waited for the millipede queen's reaction to the na he had just given her, a sudden white light burst out of her and temporarily blinded him with its brilliance.
[Your Spirit Companion has accepted its new na. This na will empower it beyond normal standards.]
A notification was the first thing that Leon saw when the light faded away. He took a look at Nedra, and noted that a faint purple wavy line had appeared on her back, starting from her head, and ending halfway down her back.
"Oh, wow." Leon whispered as he took in the changes. He took a peek at Nedra's status and was left surprised by what he saw.
