Without a mont’s delay, after completing these tasks, he continued rushing to the next location.

Not just him, all the wizards of the Tilaii Plain, except for so necessary defensive forces, were now aiding in reinforcing the riverbanks and the granaries storing food.

The spring harvest had indeed been completed without great peril, but the subsequent torrential rains were not so easy to deal with; strengthening the riverbanks was only the first step.

As the Lord of Tilai, he had to consider even more issues, how to deal with the urban waterlogging? How to shelter those rendered holess by the rainstorm-destroyed houses? And if the rain continued, how to ensure the normal operation of Tilaii Plain?

Thinking thus, before he knew it, Colin had already patrolled the entire Tilaii Plain.

"All vulnerable points along the riverbanks have been more or less reinforced; no need to worry about flooding in the short term," Colin breathed a sigh of relief, but quickly looking up at the still-heavy dark clouds, he added another sentence, "It’s only for the short term... after all, reinforcent is not a radical solution."

"How exactly to find a radical solution..."

After a mont of thought, Colin suddenly had a preliminary idea. He discerned the direction and leaped to a granary storing grain.

Inside the granary, Claire was drying wheat.

"Lady Claire," Colin approached briskly, "the wheat won’t spoil for a while, there’s no need to rush its drying, I have a more important task for which I’d like to ask your help."

"A more important task... speak," Claire said, turning her head in puzzlent as she ceased her magic power.

...

In Golden Barley City, no one was to be seen on the streets as people huddled at ho, watching the pouring rain outside with hidden worry.

The rainwater had already accumulated ankle-deep, and in so lower areas, it even reached mid-calf; at this rate, the entire Golden Barley would be subrged.

The city’s drainage system was operating at full capacity, but the results were less than satisfactory. These usually river-connected sewers, due to the sharply risen river level, were failing to drain, so even began to backflow into the city!

This was just the situation in Golden Barley. In so smaller cities with poor drainage capabilities, many people had already climbed onto roof beams.

Cries and curses were drowned out by the rain, leaving the world in a silent, despairing tranquility.

"It’s better to dredge than to block; as long as the heavy rain continues, those reinforced river channels will eventually break," Colin reflected gravely, speaking quickly to Claire in front of him as they floated in mid-air: "So I want to ask you to help dredge the floodwaters."

"Dredge the floodwaters, do you an widen the river channels? Even if I am a Fourth Rank Wizard, to do that..." Claire frowned slightly.

"Not to widen the channel," Colin shook his head, "Widening the river channel will not be tily. I want to ask you to help divert the river course!"

"Divert the course?"

"Yes, divert the course, direct these floodwaters to the caves!" Colin said gravely.

"I see, I understand!" Claire suddenly realized, nodding repeatedly.

Those caves within Tilai’s borders, weren’t they the best place for flood discharge?

Next, the two went to the Wizard Tower in Golden Barley City, and together, they looked at the map to create a preliminary plan for river diversion.

After completing these preparations, Colin instructed Shelley, who was stationed there, to be very careful, and then he and Claire rushed non-stop to the first location!

Boom!

The identity of a wizard endowed them with the power to withstand the might of heaven.

Thus, after half a day’s effort, the water disaster within Tilai’s borders had noticeably improved, and the water level of Namos River gradually receded, eventually settling only a few inches higher than before.

If one were to look down from the sky, they could see that in just this short half-day, scores of winding channels had suddenly appeared on the Tilaii Plain.

It must be said that Colin’s earlier effort of blasting open the Sky Pit at the original location of the caves had co in handy during this flood disaster, significantly reducing their workload.

Thus, the hidden dangers of the river channels were thoroughly eliminated.

However, the cities of Tilai had not yet completely erged from crisis; their situations were more complex compared to the riverways.

But at least with the lowering of the river levels, Colin no longer had to worry about a major crisis, and the accumulated water in the city could be gradually cleared.

"Just... I don’t know when this rain will ever stop."

Colin landed wearily in front of the Wizard Tower, looked up at the sky, and walked in expressionlessly.

Boom~

"What’s that?"

Just then, Colin suddenly shivered, hastily turned around, and looked toward the distance!

The heavy curtain of rain obscured everything, and even with vision as strong as his, he couldn’t see a thing.

However, beyond his field of vision, Colin’s spirit could faintly sense a chilling fluctuation coming through.

"Do you feel it too?"

Whoosh, Claire flew through the curtain of rain and landed beside him, asking with a hint of surprise.

"Uh-huh," Colin nodded, then looked back into the distance and asked, "What is that?"

"Probably Supre Councilman took action," Claire guessed uncertainly, looking at Colin and still sowhat surprised, "You really felt it?"

"Just a very vague feeling," Colin explained simply.

"Nois said you have an extraordinary talent... it really wasn’t a mistake," Claire remarked, "At least in terms of spirit sensitivity, you are already comparable to a genius Wizard at the peak of the Third Rank and so ordinary Wizards at the Basic Level of the Fourth Rank."

"The fluctuation just now, generally only a Fourth Rank Wizard who has completed soul sublimation could perceive it."

Colin was slightly taken aback, also surprised.

’Am I already comparable to a genius Wizard at the peak of the Third Rank and so ordinary Wizards at the Basic Level of the Fourth Rank?’

After the day his will fused with his spirit, Colin had been in a state of rapid enhancent, both in body and soul, as well as in Magic Power and Blood Energy. To this day, he actually did not have a clear understanding of his own strength.

Seeing him silent, Claire didn’t pursue further but continued, "I sensed it clearer than you, that was obviously the unique world fluctuation caused when the Supre Councilman moves, as if the world would cooperate with their actions... It is definitely the Supre Councilman taking action, and not in the Star Realm, but in the Yanan World."

"Supre Councilman taking action..." Colin gazed toward the south, eyes seemingly witnessing the astonishing might of the Supre Councilman at work.

But... If even the Supre Councilman has taken action, what exactly is the situation at the frontlines?

Claire too was a bit worried, but she still smiled and said, "This is most likely good news. If there was any resistance from the Divine side, this fluctuation wouldn’t have lasted such a short period."

"Uh-huh," Colin nodded, though he knew this was just optimistic thinking.

He looked up at the pitch-black sky; the heavy rain was still pouring down. He wasn’t sure if it was an illusion, but he felt that after that fluctuation, there seed to be a slight decrease in the downpour...

However, regardless, with the Supre Councilman taking action, it probably bore so connections to these extre weather conditions appearing all over the Siya Continent.

"The flood crisis at the river channel has been montarily contacted, Lady Claire, you should rest for a while... I also plan to ditate and recover my Magic Power."

The two stood in silence for a mont, and Colin turned to Claire and spoke.

"Okay," Claire nodded and walked into the Wizard Tower.

Colin followed behind and, before entering, he turned one last ti to look at the dark curtain of rain, his thoughts gradually shifting to himself.

’Claire said my spirit’s sensitivity is already comparable to a genius Wizard at the peak of the Third Rank and so ordinary Wizards at the Basic Level of the Fourth Rank, but my spirit has never shown any particularly outstanding performance in perception...’

’Does that an... my spirit’s strength has actually reached the peak of the Third Rank, and even touched on the threshold of the Fourth Rank Wizard?’

Colin walked straight into the ditation Room, intending to review his own condition while recovering his Magic Power.

Half a day later.

The torrential rain on the Tilaii Plain quietly ceased.

Simultaneously, there ca an explosive piece of news from the frontlines—

"The Seventh Supre Councilman took action, resulting in severe losses for the Divine side. Three Popes fell, and three towers of the Sky-reaching Grey Tower collapsed on the spot!"
