Chapter 657: Chapter 413: Becoming a Supre Councilman

Upon receiving this notice, Colin was still in the Roon Kingdom.

After the turmoil had ended, Silvester had to deal with so matters and, therefore, did not return to the Roon Kingdom afterward.

Thus, when Colin received the summons from the Supre Council, he was slightly taken aback.

But after brief contemplation, Colin understood that the summons from the Supre Council was clearly related to his display of power during the cave magic surge.

The crisis involving the Magic Energy Ore Veins in Neustadt City had not been publicized, and the news of the war at the front had not reached him, so Colin was unaware that he had inadvertently prevented two other disasters from occurring.

Leaving the Roon Kingdom, Shelley ca to see him off.

“The ntor has gone off to who knows what. I haven’t been able to contact him these days.”

She frowned with complaint and looked at Colin with a bit of an apologetic tone:

“I’ve asked, and the Roon Family did not report your matter to the Supre Council…”

“It’s okay. I was prepared to expose my own strength,” said Colin, shaking his head.

Shelley’s apology stemd from the possibility that maybe Colin was summoned by the Supre Council because Silvester had revealed Colin’s extraordinary strength.

She felt that Colin always concealed his true abilities, likely preferring not to stand out like this, so she was sowhat annoyed that the ntor hadn’t kept the secret.

But from Colin’s point of view, there were already nurous wizards who had seen his Second Rank abilities, making it unrealistic to continue hiding his strength.

Furthermore, his attitude had changed by now; he no longer cared much about whether his strength was exposed.

“I had intended today to discuss with you about joining the Truth Society, but let’s wait until I return from the Supre Council,” Colin said with a smile.

Shelley was montarily stunned, wanting to ask why Colin had suddenly changed his mind.

But after Colin finished speaking, he gestured that he was leaving, so she could only suppress her curiosity and joy, nodding gently,

“Take care on your journey. The ntor is not the careless type. I guess the Supre Council is not summoning you for anything bad.”

“Yes, I will,” Colin replied with a nod and then rose from the ground to fly towards Neustadt.

The place where the Supre Council had summoned him was the Supre Council Hall situated within Neustadt City.

Today, the weather was overcast with dense clouds darkening the sky. Colin did not fly too high, and in case lightning struck, he would need to fly even lower.

Although ordinary lightning was no longer a lethal threat to him now, nobody wanted to be struck by lightning for no reason.

Three days had passed since the cave magic surge, and Golden Barley City had largely returned to order, with many shops reopening.

Yet the number of pedestrians on the streets was still fewer than usual, most moving in a hurry, and carriages were a rare sight, those that did pass by raced swiftly as if soone was pursuing them.

In fact, because reinforcents had arrived in ti, there were very few casualties in the city, with only so knights and peasants in the surrounding countryside perishing.

But everyone knew the consequences of the contamination of their fields.

Had it not been for the imdiate implentation of various grain rationing laws by the Roon Kingdom, the streets by now would surely be filled with people scrambling for food.

Leaving the skies above Golden Barley City, the view beneath him suddenly turned from neatly arrayed buildings to endlessly desolate, lifeless fields.

This lifeless hue, under the current weather, seed even more depressing.

On the edge of this gray decay, a large number of wizards had set up camp to fend off the creatures from the cave.

However, this ti’s magic surge from the cave was not as overwhelming as the one centuries ago, and Third Rank cave creatures were rarely seen.

Additionally, the overall number of creatures was not large, and by the third day, few were erging from underground.

Just in case, these wizards would need to stay within the Roon Kingdom for over a month before they could gradually withdraw.

Colin averted his gaze, no longer looking down, and focused on flying forward.

Several hours later, he arrived in Neustadt.

‘I wonder where ntor Atbolde and Senior Lillian have gone…’ Colin thought as he walked down the streets.

It stood to reason that such a significant event in the Roon Kingdom would have brought his ntor or, because of physical reasons, made it inconvenient for him to leave the city, but Senior Lillian should have co to see him at the first opportunity.

He would check on them after returning from the Supre Council… Colin collected his thoughts and finally reached the Supre Council Hall.

A middle-aged wizard led him up to the third floor, finally pausing in front of a wooden door with intricate patterns.

Colin held the doorknob, took a slight breath, and pushed the door open.

However, upon entering, he did not find the eting hall he expected but just an ordinary study.

Sitting at the brown desk by the window was a familiar face—Nois Tate.

When Colin entered, Nois was imrsed in writing, his brows tightly furrowed, his expression sowhat somber.

But seeing Colin, the gloom on his face dissipated quite a bit, and he pressed his brow with a trace of joy as he stood up.

“Colin, you’ve arrived.”

Colin nodded lightly: “Good afternoon, Mr. Nois.”

“Co on, we’re pressed for ti, follow ,” Nois nodded gently, and without any further pleasantries, led the way out.

In a short while, they reached a private chamber.

“Wait for a mont, I need to apply in advance,” Nois explained as he approached a golden Communication Ring Tower before him.

Colin nodded lightly… The lengthy procedure prior to the Supre Council summons gave rise to a slight tension within him.
