Chapter 625: Chapter 400: The Secret of the Ancestors

Colin subconsciously held his breath, becoming even more stealthy in his movents.

But in reality, there was no need for such caution, as having advanced to a Second Rank Knight brought him improvents in all aspects.

Even without using witchcraft, he could make himself as still as clay and stone, not to ntion that he was indeed using witchcraft now.

The hidden figure in the air before him was of unknown strength, but it had clearly not detected his presence.

‘Could it be that this is the one carrying the treasure, located by Anando’s Dice?’

Lightless Forest was rarely visited by people, and in recent years there had been few demon beasts left, hardly ever attracting any Wizards to this place.

And from the location provided by Anando’s Dice to his arrival here, it had only been ten minutes—a very short ti to encounter a second person.

Colin mused in contemplation.

The Wizard hiding his figure before him had likely arrived over the sea of trees due to the sudden explosion in the distance.

As he pondered, the bright light from the distant explosion gradually dissipated, and the sky returned to its pitch-black backdrop.

Colin’s thoughts involuntarily shifted from the unknown figure before him to the sudden explosion.

The burst of bright light had appeared first and vanished first, but the breeze stirred up by the shockwaves was still blowing continuously.

Compared to the unknown Wizard before him, the distant and unknown explosion was evidently producing a greater impact.

A few monts later.

Colin’s skin shivered slightly as he keenly noticed the neighboring air suddenly flowing.

‘Is it about to leave?’

The Wizard next to him began to move, with astonishing speed.

A chill ran through Colin’s heart; just by the pace alone, this hidden Wizard must be at least of the Second Rank Advanced level.

Contrary to his expectations though, the hidden Wizard did not return to the Lightless Forest but flew off toward the distance.

As the distance grew, his perception of the Wizard beca increasingly blurry, and the figure was about to disappear from sight.

Colin hesitated over whether to follow, but ultimately decided against it, not wanting to complicate matters.

Just an ordinary treasure, not an Advanced ditation thod which he did not lack.

Having fortified himself with Flying Witchcraft, Colin headed back towards the Golden Barley.

After advancing to a Second Rank Knight, perhaps due to his innate ability to fly, his speed with the use of the Fla Light Flying and Diving Skill was now much faster than before.

At least, it was faster than the Wizard who had left earlier.

By the sa token, his speed while diving was likely to be the sa.

As Colin carefully felt his own changes, he suddenly paused slightly, unconsciously slowing down as he looked ahead.

‘Such a coincidence?’

Ahead, what seed like empty space was nevertheless filled with surging air currents!

Colin had not expected to encounter the previously hidden Wizard, who had left before him, once again.

Although they had only been flying for a short while, based on their Second Rank Wizard flying speeds, the distance they had covered was quite substantial.

The vast sky made such a coincidental eting all the more improbable, indicating only one thing—

The direction in which the hidden Wizard was moving was the sa as his!

Or perhaps… another sowhat startling supposition arose in Colin’s mind—could it be that this Wizard had the sa destination as him?

With a flickering gaze, Colin dismissed his Flying Witchcraft and, relying on his Knight Power, silently trailed behind the hidden Wizard.

As ti passed and he recognized the familiar landscape below, Colin’s thoughts beca increasingly tumultuous. Though he was tailing, in truth, he was rely slowing down a little—the path he had taken in flight had so far not deviated from his original route back to the Golden Barley!

A while later, the Golden Barley erged under the moonlight.

This most bustling city in the Roon Kingdom still sparkled with nurous lights, stretching out endlessly under the night sky, like a sea of stars.

But more intriguing to Colin than the starry scene before him was the fact that the hidden Wizard began to slow his flight.

After a short while, Colin arrived in an area that was all too familiar, watching as the hiding Wizard stealthily entered the White Tower.

Colin stopped not far from the White Tower, his expression still one of amazent.

‘It’s Wizard Erwin…’

With his Second Rank power and the White Tower, the true identity of the hidden Wizard was self-evident—it was clearly Erwin Roon, the only Second Rank Wizard in the Roon Kingdom today!

‘But… what is Wizard Erwin doing in the Lightless Forest so late at night?’

With the unveiling of the mystery ca new perplexities; Colin couldn’t help but frown.

anwhile, he also rembered another matter—the locations provided by Anando’s Dice over the past two years had frequently pinpointed the White Tower.

Wizard Erwin owning so kind of treasure wasn’t peculiar in itself.

But his secretive nocturnal trips to the Lightless Forest were puzzling.

Colin looked at the White Tower before him and ultimately chose not to proceed.

Previously, Erwin hadn’t detected his presence in the open, but if he entered the Wizard Tower, it might not be the sa case.

The risks were too high… Colin suppressed his curiosity and quietly headed ho.

……..

“How exactly am I to unlock the secret of the ancestors?”

In the ditation Room on the third floor of the White Tower, Erwin walked in with a somber expression.

Another fruitless night… Could the Roon Family really just continue to decline like this?

Standing quietly in the center of the ditation Room, his figure was slightly stooped, his skin slack with wrinkles stacked upon his face.

The worries seed to mix with the air like glue, enveloping Erwin, nearly suffocating him.
