Chapter 589: Chapter 382: Opportunity

The wheat fields still sported a green young,” said Golden Paper, “but by July, they turned into a brilliant golden hue.

Ti passed silently.

Life in the Roon Kingdom was tranquil, like an undisturbed deep tale; the only thing reminding Colin of ti’s passage was the dense black ink on the dazzling Golden Paper.

Another spell had reached its Limit Breaking point, and this ti it was two of them—

Silent and Invisible Shadow.

Thousands of Magic Stones were consud, and these two spells successfully advanced from First Rank Lower to First Rank Upper.

The improvent wasn’t small, but it sowhat lagged behind Colin’s current strength.

Silent was originally a combination of the Silence Technique and Silent, a spell that could negate sound, both of the caster and the surroundings.

On the other hand, Invisible Shadow was the only concealnt spell that Colin had mastered, a spell that worked by distorting light to achieve invisibility.

Having successfully created a Combined Witchcraft before, Colin naturally considered combining these two spells.

After all, if a single spell could achieve two effects, it would be more advantageous in terms of both ti efficiency and Magic Power consumption.

Not to ntion, the effects of the two clearly complented each other, negating sound and hiding one’s form.

However, how to rge these two spells required further research.

‘Maybe during the next vacation, I could go to the Schools and the True Knowledge Society in Neustadt to look up relevant knowledge,’ Colin thought quietly as he dispersed the Golden Paper.

With a thought, a small window soundlessly opened on the left side of the Silver Chamber, revealing the verdant trees and several familiar Wizard Towers outside.

‘Two more hours until quitting ti.’

As the sunlight slanted westward outside, Colin let out a breath of stale air, his mood serene and peaceful.

Every morning, he would arrive at South Tower Three before nine o’clock, clock off at six in the evening, travel to Neustadt once every vacation, return after three days, and then start the next cycle back at Golden Barley.

Life was thodical and repetitive, yet it didn’t bore him.

Watching the daily changing black characters on the Golden Paper made Colin feel a profound sense of tranquility and groundedness.

There was no happier life than one with daily improvents and constant progression.

The Roon Kingdom is truly a great place… Especially when compared to the recent constant turmoil and strife within Neustadt City, Colin felt this even more.

At six in the evening, the sun on the horizon was reduced to a re sliver, its glow converging on the streaky clouds to form clusters of floating gold.

When Colin finished his shift and headed ho, he found a sowhat familiar yet slightly strange girl on the lush lawn in front of his door.

“It’s been a long ti,” Shelley said, turning around.

The doll-like girl was bathed in the sunset’s afterglow, her snow-white hair now tinged with madder red, and her pale, cool cheeks now glinting with a stirring sheen under the sun’s rays.

Although her tone was as indifferent as ever, it seed to carry a bit more humanity with this imagery.

The reason for the unfamiliarity was that aside from her snowy hair, the girl’s appearance and stature were sowhat changed from before.

The changes weren’t significant, but taken together, they presented a different image.

“Are you… Shelley?” Colin paused briefly, his steps faltering.

The girl nodded slightly.

With her movent, that sense of strangeness swirling around her face and figure suddenly dissipated like the last mist of the morning.

Colin then felt that Shelley’s appearance had beco familiar again, almost as if there hadn’t been any difference from his mory.

Without a doubt, this was an extrely sophisticated Disguise Magic.

But Colin was only slightly astounded, more surprised that he could et Shelley again here, in the Roon Kingdom, thousands of miles away from Neustadt.

“Let’s go inside.”

However, reuniting with an acquaintance in a foreign land was always a joyous occasion.

Colin smiled and led Shelley into the living room to sit down.

“Does Miss Shelley have so knowledge to discuss with this ti?”

Colin couldn’t think of any other reason that would bring this girl, carved out of ice crystal, here aside from knowledge.

But this ti, Shelley shook her head.

“I just ca to see you.”

Colin’s hand, which had been reaching for his tea, froze.

But the Shelley in front of him seed oblivious to the inappropriateness of her words and continued,

“For certain reasons, I’ve also left Neustadt and currently reside in the Roon Kingdom… um, in the villa to your left.”

Colin nodded slowly, understanding.

“It seems we can continue to exchange knowledge in the future,” he said, placing his teacup on the table and smiling.

Whatever the reason Shelley had co to the Roon Kingdom, it was undoubtedly good news for him.

After all, exchanging knowledge with Shelley, a magic genius, was incredibly beneficial to him.

“Indeed, it is,” Shelley agreed, then added, “You have to work during the day, so how about I co to see you every evening around this ti?”

“Of course, no problem,” Colin replied with a smile and a light nod, pondering for a mont before deciding not to ask why Shelley had co to the Roon Kingdom, especially in disguise.

Sotis, the more you know, the more trouble you invite, and it could also put the person in front of you in a difficult position.

Sipping his tea, Colin suddenly realized that aside from their ti in the Extre North, this seed to be the first occasion they sat face-to-face without discussing knowledge.
