Chapter 578: Chapter 377: I Need Compensation
“Be careful!”
“Sir, should the couch be placed here?”
“Um,” Colin, brought back from his thoughts, nodded lightly.
How to resolve daily practice… He couldn’t co up with an answer for now, but there will always be a way when it cos to the crunch, at worst, he could sneak out of the city daily to find a place to practice.
“Alright!” The foreman nodded attentively and then turned to continue directing the workers moving the large leather couch.
“Master Colin, are you missing any furniture here?” Welber and Colin walked into the living room on the first floor of the villa.
“It’s almost all set up,” Colin smiled, “Thanks to your help.”
It wasn’t re courtesy; being in the unfamiliar Roon Kingdom and wanting to arrange this newly bought villa into a livable space within two days wasn’t sothing re wealth could achieve.
Welber had put in a lot of effort, of course, these were trivial for them, and Welber didn’t mind much.
He thought for a mont and then looked at Colin with a curious and hesitant tone, “What do you plan to do after this?”
“Plan?” Colin was puzzled. The noise from the workers nearby was too loud, so he stepped toward another room that had already been arranged.
“It’s just…” Welber subtly reminded, “the Pureblood Family.”
Colin’s thoughts raced, staring at Welber for a few seconds before he suddenly realized, suppressing the surprise in his heart, he asked calmly,
“Are you talking about the attack by those two Pureblood Wizards?”
Welber nodded, his eyes filled with curiosity.
To him, as a Golden Feather, Colin being inexplicably attacked by two wizards from the Pureblood Family clearly wasn’t sothing that could just be let go.
In fact, he was more curious about why those two Pureblood Family wizards attacked Colin.
However, this question had already been indirectly asked by Buzi, and Colin’s response was that he did not know.
He naturally couldn’t ask more now.
“After so ti, I will make a trip back to Neustadt City,” Colin said vaguely after a mont’s contemplation.
Welber nodded, his curiosity slightly reduced as he perceived Colin’s words as implying that he would seek justice in Neustadt City.
But Colin hadn’t actually thought it through clearly – in fact, he hadn’t even considered this at first!
It was thanks to Welber’s reminder that he suddenly realized—he was indeed a victim.
Although everything seed settled now, having cleared his own suspicion and seeing Gena and Bal dead, he shouldn’t stir more trouble in principle.
However, the fact that Gena and Bal had attacked him remained, and being a victim without any reaction might seem abnormal to so.
‘I still haven’t thought things through enough…’
Colin warned himself, but as thoughts flickered, a slight smile began to form on his lips.
“Yes, I almost forgot I am the ‘real’ victim here!”
After a short contemplation, he made a decision.
…
The next day.
Neustadt City.
Colin looked at the familiar city gates, taking a deep breath of stale air—despite the short ti he had been away, returning now felt like crossing into another lifeti.
Probably because Neustadt had transford from his old ho into a distant city.
After returning to the city, he didn’t visit his ntor but directly headed to the Tin Saint School’s Black Castle.
Given the nature of the conflict within the School, it wasn’t appropriate to approach the Law Enforcent Team, Colin needed to find the Inspector of the Black Castle, who had detained them during the Yasi incident.
Of course, Colin was no longer an ordinary First Rank Wizard. Even though he hadn’t joined any Faction yet, his identity as a Golden Feather was enough to derive respect.
Moreover, to be safe, Colin sought out soone he knew.
“Inspector Nancy, the situation is this.
Both Mr. Buzi from the Hidosh Family and Inspector Faber from the Law Enforcent Team can attest to the truth of what I say.”
In an office, Nancy regarded Colin across from her, nodding lightly to show her understanding.
Although previously she had followed the instructions of that superior to help Colin by rescuing his ntor and senior sister from the Black Castle Inspector, that superior had only spoken of helping with that one incident and did not intend any further favor—which she guessed ant no further special treatnt was needed.
She thought that the wizard before her might have co to her asking for a favor, and she prepared herself to refuse, but she had not expected such a troubleso matter.
Pressing her temples, Nancy asured her words, “What do you want?”
Attacking a fellow Faction mber was no minor incident, not to ntion the fact that the victim was a Golden Feather.
However, the troubleso part lay in the fact—the assaulted Colin was not in mortal danger, nor had suffered any severe injuries. More crucially, the culprits, Gena and Bal, were already dead…
How to classify and resolve such an event, was indeed giving her a headache.
However, one thing was certain—if Colin wished, he could still request the Black Castle Inspector to thoroughly investigate the matter, to seek justice from the Hidosh and Bunier families.
