Engagent?

Lin Xiaofei was stunned when she heard this, "And what does that have anything to do with ?"

Song Yan Yi was drinking tea when she heard her reply and almost choked on it and when she recollected herself, she hurriedly said, "Did Fourth Miss forget?"

"Forget what?" Lin Xiaofei nonchalantly asked. She felt funny when she saw Sing Yan Yi being flustered with just a few words from her.

This ti, Song Yan Yi took her ti to look at Lin Xiaofei and frowned.

The young lady standing before her didn't show any emotion in her face and just stood straight with her hands folded in front of her chest. Her chin was slightly raised arrogantly but unlike in the past, this kind of bearing she showed didn't make anyone feel disdain but instead, feel fear.

But why?

Song Yan Yi found herself asking. She wondered why she felt fear when talking to Lin Xiaofei as if she was talking to soone of a higher rank. She didn't notice it at first when they t outside because they were slightly far away from each other, but after being in the sa room as Lin Xiaofei, she finally realized that sothing was wrong..

From the very start, Lin Xiaofei's posture didn't look stiff and childish. The way she carried herself like she's soone really important made anyone feel an urge to bow down to her. She still spoke rudely but the way she spoke like Song Yan Yi was nothing in her eyes insulted her.

However, Song Yan Yi didn't know why but a dominating force was making her not reprimand Lin Xiaofei.

Lin Xiaofei waited for Song Yan Yi to speak but even after a minute passed, Song Yan Yi didn't speak and only looked at her strangely.

"Why does Second Aunt not say anything?"

The maid beside Song Yan Yi also felt that sothing was wrong with her female master but didn't know what. She slightly and softly nudged her master and worriedly whispered, "Madam, did the tea burn you?"

The feeling of soone moving her made Song Yan Yi wake up from her musing and she said, "Nothing. Fourth Miss must have stayed too long inside your courtyard that you even forget that you're engaged to the Chu Family's Di son."

Lin Xiaofei looked at Song Yan Yi, "Is Second Aunt blaming for not going out?"

Song Yan Yi was about to answer but Lin Xiaofei was faster, "But you're right, I stayed too long inside my courtyard that one even forgot my own fiancé and his family. But Second Aunt need not to worry, I was actually planning to go out today but grandfather doted on too much that I can't go out without his permission. He must be worried that outside is too dangerous for ."

Her words were right in the first half. Lin Xiaofei admitted that she stayed inside her courtyard for too long that she wasn't able to see other people and forgot she had a fiance.

However, who wouldn't forget their own fiancé when they never even stepped into her courtyard when she decided to lock herself up. And even though it wasn't known that Lin Xiaofei fell ill, it was natural for the future in-laws to worry or visit their future daughter in law.

Another, Lin Xiaofei also pointed out that she wasn't the only one who wanted her to stay inside the Lin Residence, she made it sound like Lin Xiaong, who already doted on her beca an extrely doting grandfather that he supported her desire to not go out because the outside world was dangerous.

With Lin Xiaofei's words, it made everything plausible and sound like Lin Xiaofei's not being seen in the public for three years wasn't her fault because of Lin Xiaong, everyone in the East Courtyard didn't rebuke it.

It wasn't because they believed those words. It was just that they couldn't say anything back to her.

If her words were spread around, people would believe that as the real truth and those unsightly rumors about Lin Xiaofei being disfigured will disappear. It might not have any effect on the way people view her because of her personality, it would still give her a face to go out.

However, how could Song Yan Yi not know her aning?

Even though, Song Yan Yi wanted to say sothing. She couldn't when Lin Xiaofei was finally being difficult. If it was in the past when the two of them fought with words, it would be always her who would win and Lin XiaoFei would turn around in anger, but at this mont, Song Yan Yi could only swallow her anger and show a fake smile.

"It really is Father who loves and dotes Fourth Miss."

"You're very right about that." Lin Xiaofei smiled at her.

"But, Father's not here yet, won't Fourth Miss wait for him to co and share so tea with ?" Song Yan Yi said.

Lin Xiaofei blinked, "No. Since grandfather's not here. I don't have any other reason to stay here. The tea is yours, drink it."

Lin Xiaofei turned around with Bai Lu and Su Tang behind her, they stayed silent all this ti because they didn't find any mont to say anything on behalf of their miss when Song Yan Yi was trying to bully their young miss.

And when they saw that Lin Xiaofei learned to say sothing back, they also triumphantly turned around with a proud smile on their face.
