The city gates slowly roared as it opened its doors to the new incoming people from the Rei Empire. No one knows what purpose they have for the sudden and abrupt visit during the ti of war, but no one did anything to stop them either to enter the city as rather than have the Rei Empire turn back and go to the Chu empire, they would want them into the city.Â
However, that still didn't stop the people from whispering and murmuring amongst themselves. The procession that the Rei Empire led inside the gates were so eye-catching in the city that it stuck like an eyesore in the more or less already ruined city after a month of going to war. It looked really awkward.
The procession was stopped by two n at the center of the road. It was Ni Zixuan and Jiang Sheng, who both ca quickly upon hearing that the Rei Empire sent soone in the city.The other vice generals and generals stationed at the city also rushed there to see them. At first, they were skeptical towards these newcors, but it soon turned to amazent and confusion as soon as the people inside the carriage stepped out one by one.Â
The curtain blocking the entrance of the carriage to cover the insides of the carriage fluttered as the wind picked up. Coincidentally, the people who were near the carriage saw a glimpse of the purple embroidered shoes with a luminous Night Pearl and the hem of the black clothes of soone inside the carriage. However, just that glimpse was enough for them to hold back their breaths as their anticipation grew.Â
"Haha... It's my first ti here in the city. Everyone, don't be so stiff in welcoming us." A masculine voice sounded from inside the carriage. The curtain was soon parted and a tall and good-looking man ca out.Â
The man had eyebrows straight as a sword and a tall and straight nose. Aside from his good-looking features, the most striking thing about him was the color of his skin that was as dark as his other companions. It was the traits of the people of the Rei Empire.Â
When Erkin saw that everyone's eyes were on him, he didn't shy away from them and even smiled brightly as though he were a monk travelling the world and looking at his followers. He saw the two handso n amongst the rough-looking generals and vice generals and appraised them.
After looking, Erkin ca to a conclusion. 'It's not them.'
"We were rude." Jiang Sheng nodded his head respectfully and continued to say, "However, we didn't know that the Rei Empire would send soone to the city. I am the Vice Commander of the Fire Storm Battalion, Jiang Sheng."
"I am a mber of the sa battalion, Ni Zixuan."
Erkin thoughtfully glanced at them as each of the main characters started to introduce themselves. Supposedly, it should have been their turn first to tell their nas as they were the outsiders, but probably Jiang Sheng thought to show them utmost respect by doing it first.
He slowly swept his gaze to Nori, who quickly got his hint and stepped forward.Â
"I am the Vice General of the Rei Empire's Army, Nori..." he then sidestepped and said, "And this man is the Emperor of the Rei Empire."
It would have been better and easier if the person whom the huge man introduced was the great general of the Rei Empire or the Pri Minister of the court. However, everyone didn't think that the most important person in their kingdom would make a trip to this small city.Â
Jiang Sheng and Ni Zixuan glanced at each other and saw each other's shock. Why was the emperor of the Rei empire there?Â
As though guessing what they were thinking, Erkin smiled at them as he explained. "Zhen* originally planned to go to the Zheng Empire to visit Emperor Yun. After all, his birthday should be nearing and if Zhen waits a few more days later to co, Zhen would be late for the banquet. Hence, Zhen went for an incognito trip. However, my companion wanted to stop by the city and take a look. Apparently, she had so purpose for coming here."

Emperor Yun's birthday was about to arrive. Although there was a war going on between the two kingdoms, that didn't an the Holy One's birthday would be halted unless the emperor himself decreed to postpone the celebration until the war was over. But considering Emperor Yun's character, he would surely not miss celebrating his birthday just because there was a war.Â
But who was the female companion that led the Rei Emperor to make a stop in the city? She should be soone extraordinary for her to even make the emperor stop his trip just because she wanted to stop. Besides, everyone knew that the Rei Emperor never had an empress. Ever since he massacred his own family and took the throne from his father, he never showed any interest in taking an empress despite the court officials in his kingdom's urging.Â
Could this female companion be soone that the Rei Emperor fancies and finally wants to take her in as his empress?
As these words were said, Qu Xing Xu and Qi Yandi, who had just thrown sothing to the hen house, had finally arrived.Â
And just in ti, rustling noise sounded inside the carriage and an extrely white hand parted the curtain, revealing an outstanding beauty inside.Â
A calamitous beauty. It was the first thing everyone thought of when they saw the beautiful woman. n held their breaths and stiffened as they took a glimpse of that extrely beautiful face. So blushed and so gasped upon seeing her. They were unable to take their eyes away from her.Â
The surrounding beca silent as the beauty stepped down from the carriage.Â
Slowly, Lin Xiaofei said, "The streets have too many eyes. Let's all go inside and continue this conversation."
Ni Zixuan and Jiang Sheng was shocked. Their eyes enlarged in surprise when they saw Lin Xiaofei. The missing wife of their brother was in front of them. And she ca with the emperor of the Rei Empire. What was going on?
Qi Yandi rushed to the front and stood before her. He pointed at her and before anyone could stop him, he loudly said, "Ah! Sister-in-law!"
