After hours of sweating underneath the sheets and drowning in pleasure, Lin Xiaofei woke up with aching limbs and quite sore in between her legs. She couldn't rember just how many tis they did it and how many tis she had to run away from that beast of a man who couldn't satisfy himself and kept on going, but one thing she was sure of was that she will need a few days of rest before she could even do this kind of thing again.

Lin Xiaofei wondered as she recalled the things she did to Qu Xing Xu earlier.
No! It was Qu Xing Xu who couldn't control himself and didn't listen to her when she said that they should stop and rest early.

Lin Xiaofei looked beside her. The beast who didn't stop even when she pleaded to him to stop was peacefully sleeping beside her like a child.

Since earlier? Doesn't that an he hadn't slept a wink? Lin Xiaofei turned her head to look at him but in their current body position and how tightly he was hugging her like a pillow, she had no way to face him.
"Why didn't you sleep? You could have rested for a few hours before you start working again." Lin Xiaofei knew that being a Duke was no joke, and even if Qu Xing Xu might not show it to his face that he had a lot of things to do, but the stack of scrolls in his study when she went there last ti was nothing to laugh at.
Snuggling closer to her, Qu Xing Xu mumbled, "I was too distracted to sleep."
"With what?" It was a harmless question filled with pure curiosity.

"Where did you found out that I will be sent over to the Northern borders? I just went to the Emperor this morning and asked him to send over, but it will take a day before it is officially announced?" Qu Xing Xu asked her.
Lin Xiaofei didn't hide anything from him and answered truthfully, "I went to my maternal family earlier to check on my grandfather's condition while you were outside. I was about to leave when one of my grandfather's n said that he saw you enter the palace."
"But you didn't know about my plans."
Lin Xiaofei shook her head. "Of course, I don't. But I guessed it, call it a woman's intuition. but I knew you were up to sothing when you gave this necklace."
Qu Xing Xu fell silent as he didn't think that Lin Xiaofei saw through his plans way before he could think of going over to et the Emperor and ask him to send him to the northern borders.
"Just from that?"
"No. I also had so ears and eyes in the palace. Do you think I would let them do whatever they want?" Lin Xiaofei stated.
The Imperial Palace was an intricate and complicated place where you could find several twists and turns that were full of traps, and it was also a place for people who have both greater and wicked minds. It was a place where all kinds of sins could be found.

But strangely enough, she only heard from her informant that the Emperor had sealed an order that he was sending the Duke to the Northern borders, yet her informant didn't see Qu Xing Xu coming over to the Emperor's residence nor co out of it.
