Like a devil that had co to collect their corpses, Qu Xing Xu lowered his head when he was about a half feet away from the edge of the pit. He was currently looking down at the poor sight of n down the pit.
They all looked pitiful but Qu Xing Xu had no sympathy to spare to them as his eyes glistened in interest. Yet again, she didn't disappoint him with her wicked ways to subdue her prey.
To actually use a pit filled with thorns and nail to trap them like rats stabbed by a porcupine quills, only she would think of this thod.
"I think we're going to have a feast tonight, sweetheart." Qu Xing Xu turned his head aside to look at the woman slowly taking her ti to walk toward him and the pit, "We caught a few wolves in your trap."
Hearing him, Lin Xiaofei rolled her eyes at him and earned a chuckle from him. If the people they caught that night were wolves then the two of then were much more bigger and deadlier predator.
Reaching where he stood, Lin Xiaofei leaned forward and looked down as well to see what was going on down the pit.. There she also saw several n struggling and moaning in pain. They wanted to get out of there and move but they soon realized that the thorns and nail that stabbed them contained a poison that would paralyze their bodies temporarily.
"What the hell are you two doing here?" Yu Fangzhu asked in confusion as he saw two head popping out above to look at their sorry sight.
"What do you think?" taunted Qu Xing Xu with a smile on his lips sending shivers on the prince's spine.
No. It can't be. Thought Yu Fangzhu as he refused to acknowledge that these people were the sa person who sent him the letter this morning.
"Co on, your highness. There should be another reason why a newly wed couple would take a trip to a mountain in the middle of the night aside from doing so kinky stuff?" As if Qu Xing Xu had caught the doubts passing through the prince's mind.
Lin Xiaofei glared at him.
He replied back with a naughty wink.
As if the thought has finally dawned on him, Yu Fangzhu fiercely glared at the two of them as he screeched. "What do you think are you doing? Qu Xing Xu! After harming a prince, do you think you can get away after doing this to ! You bastard!"
Even if Qu Xing Xu was a duke and feared by the emperor, once the words about him harming a prince spread around, it would leave a dirt on his na and reputation. The emperor would eventually take the prince's side to cut so of the duke's limbs.
Arching a brow, Qu Xing Xu watched in amusent as Yu Fangzhu continued on how Qu Xing Xu shouldn't have hard the prince and what kind of punishnt he would get after that night.
Unfortunately, the more he tried to roast Qu Xing Xu and scare him of the consequences he would soon face, the man who was supposed to be begging for the prince's forgiveness was shaking from head to toe. It was not because he was trembling in fear. On the contrary, Qu Xing Xu was containing his laughter too hard that his body shook greatly as he held on.
Ignoring the hyena laughing beside her, Lin Xiaofei stepped forward and finally spoke, "Yu Fangzhu. Don't waste your breath trying to justify why we can't do this. And besides, we have a lot of things to talk about and I don't want to stay here until morning listening to your nonsense."
"Why don't we first talk about you?" Her eyes glowed in the dark as she viciously glared at him. "Although, I'm not too sure if my husband is one but calling him a bastard when you know you're one as well is quite intriguing. How shaless of you actually."
"You wench!" Yu Fangzhu no longer doubted that the two of them were the sender of the letter. His anger reached the highest boiling point and he wished he could tear the couple in front of him apart.
He didn't care where or how they knew about his secret. The only thing that matters was they knew and he needed to make sure that he shut them up and kill them most preferably in order to keep his secret to himself.
Lin Xiaofei sighed. There was no point talking with soone who was seeing red from the trendous anger and pain he was feeling. Further conversation with him was like talking to a wall.
She was actually surprised to hear herself speaking so calmly as if the man before her had no relation with her. He was the man in her past life, the man she devoted her life to and she assud to have loved as well. However, it seems that all the things that happened in her past life no longer matter in this life.
She at least expect to be hurt and feel sothing inside when facing Yu Fangzhu and going uo against him, and yet, the only thing she could feel right now was disgust and nothing else.
"Truth be told. I didn't intend to do this too soon but you hard one of mine. You tried to harm my grandfather through your sisters who're now paying their own sins with their lives on the line." Lin Xiaofei knew that it was Yu Fangzhu who fed his sisters the bait for them to poison Lin Xiaong and she couldn't forgive him for doing that.
"Now… I'm going to make you pay for your sins and make you feel what it ans to be eaten alive and don't know what to do." said Lin Xiaofei to Yu Fangzhu before she stepped back, completely disappearing from his line of view.
Yu Fangzhu's should stay in the pit for a little bit longer since she still have one more gift prepared for him tonight.
Lin Xiaofei watched Qu Xing Xu carry a huge wooden chest that was put aside near a tree towards the pit. He carried the chest as if it weigh about as much as a feather would and then, lifted the lid.
Inside the chest, one would see grains of rice from afar. But when up close, you would notice that these small grains of rice was actually moving about and around inside the chest, wriggling and twisting around.
What was inside the chest wasn't actually grains of rice but worms. More accurately, flesh-eating worms.
They're tiny in size like a grain of rice but a chest of these worms should be enough to make a man's skin crawl just imagining how they will wriggle and enter their open wounds and eat their flesh.
It will take ti but Lin Xiaofei knew it was the best thod to make Yu Fangzhu have a taste of what she suffered when she was still alive before she takes everything from him.
