Qu Xing Xu nodded his head and popped another hazelnut out of its shell. However, instead of handing it to her, he raised his hand to her lips.

Was he planning to feed her? Lin Xiaofei thought to herself and looked at him strangely.

"Open your mouth," he said with his hand still in front of her lips.

Lin Xiaofei stared at him but seeing that there was no hidden motive in his eyes when he looked at her and with the fact that he reassured her that there will be no problems in the Qu residence, she didn't stop parting her lips to take the thing in his hand to her lips.

Seeing that Lin Xiaofei didn't reject him, Qu Xing Xu smiled at her and pushed the peeled hazelnut in her parted mouth.

After the hazelnut disappeared in her mouth, Qu Xing Xu crushed another imdiately and waited for her to finish the hazelnut inside her mouth.

When finished chewing, Lin Xiaofei said her thanks to him but before she could finish speaking, another hazelnut was put into her mouth.

Lin Xiaofei: "..."

Lin Xiaofei didn't expect him to put another one in her mind and even after the second one was nicely chewed inside her mouth, the man beside her seed to know no limits as he continued to crush the shell of the hazelnut and pop it into her mouth.

"That's enough." Said Lin Xiaofei to him, afraid that he'll put another one in her mouth. "I'm not a hamster. So, there's no need for you to feed anymore."

"But there's still a few more left." He replied. He looked at the hazelnut in the bowl pitifully but Lin Xiaofei stared at him weirdly.

Is he kidding right now? Who would be able to eat a bowl of hazelnut by themselves? Even if Lin Xiaofei was hungry, she wasn't a fan of hazelnut and won't be able to finish them in one sitting.

"Then you eat them." She told him.

However, Qu Xing Xu shook his head and said, "My fingers are tired after crushing the shells. I can't seem to lift it to my mouth."

He blatantly lied to her without changing his expression.

Outside the carriage where the driver was seated, Gu Yan who was beside the driver closed his eyes as if he wanted to disappear from there.

He could clearly hear what was going on inside the carriage thus, he found his master's lies frightening. If Qu Xing Xu was really tired after crushing a few shells of hazelnuts then, wouldn't crushing sobody's hands and bones be even more tiring?

Gu Yan couldn't help but feel embarrassed at his master's shalessness and felt pity towards his young madam who will have to get used to Qu Xing Xu's shaless actions.

Inside the carriage, Lin Xiaofei stared at the bowl of hazelnut and looked at Qu Xing Xu's face before looking down again to see his fingers were really trembling

"Was it that hard to crush the shell of a hazelnut?" Unconsciously, she blurted out loud her thoughts.

"Of course it is." Qu Xing Xu answered.

Lin Xiaofei bit her lips upon realizing that she said her question out loud and saw him putting one whole unpeeled hazelnut in her hand. It was the last one among the cracked ones on the bowl.

She stared at him confused and heard him say, "You can try and crush it with your hands if you don't believe ."

Lin Xiaofei: "..."

She pursed her lips and moved her hand to crush the hazelnut in her hand. She struggled to crush it and tried once more. It seems that it was indeed hard to crack the shell of the hazelnut.

"Don't you have a nutcracker?" Asked Lin Xiaofei as she rembered that one should have a nutcracker to open the tough shell.

Qu Xing Xu paused before saying, "It seems that my people forgot to include to put that in this carriage."

As he said that, Gu Yan almost slipped from his chair outside.

Master! What do you an we forgot to put it in there?! Gu Yan scread in his mind as he clearly rembered that he put the nutcracker inside the bowl before putting it inside the carriage for his masters to nibble on during the journey to the Qu residence.

His master has always been demanding and as a loyal servant, Gu Yan would always make sure that the carriage he rode and places that his master would go to won't be lacking food. Thus, aside from the hazelnuts in the carriage, there was still other snacks inside but Qu Xing Xu purposely took the hazelnut as his choice of snack today.

Lin Xiaofei looked at him suspiciously but then she said soon after, "Give that to . I will feed you."

Qu Xing Xu smiled and obediently put the bowl in her hand. He watched her taming one nut from it and reaching her hand to him.

Without any hesitation, Qu Xing Xu opened his mouth and took the hazelnut in her fingers to his parted mouth.

His tongue sohow touched her index finger. Lin Xiaofei didn't know if it was deliberate or not but the mont she felt it, she pulled her hand away as if she had touched fire.

She tried to calm down but her mind stopped as she stared at him in shock.

After taking the nut in his mouth, Qu Xing Xu looked up to see her staring at him. One corner of his lips was pulled upward as he stared back at her.

As much as he wanted to tease her longer, Qu Xing Xu was afraid that she will try to put her guards up against him if he went further with his teasing. Hence, after taking one nut from her hand, he beca satisfied with it and sat up straight in his seat.

He leaned against the walls of the carriage and faced her. Crossing his arms, he said as he stared at her eyes, "The hazelnut tasted delicious."
